Works great for streaming and the nice thing is your phone doesn't even have to be connected for Spotify

I don't usually review apps bit this app is terrible, absolutely useless. Just get the fon utility to set it up and use spotify. This app doesn't tell me that my gramofon is connected, only when I'm connected to the fon network, extra hassle. And the cheek of it saying I've reached my skip limit is bollocks. If I want to skip a song there's a good reason, and I didn't even get a chance to. I'm absolutely dissapointed in this app. Product however brill!

Doesn't work... Reports error with no solution...

App crashes constantly on galaxy note 4, saying 'Houston we have a problem' . shame as the hardware is really good, and when dnla works, will be amazing. Fix the app!

I've never been past the "Houston" message. Ever.

Every time it loads with Houston we have a problem and that's it.

Gramofon is nice and it is as simple as it should be. The problem is that I don't like Spotify and I am not going to pay for the Premium. I don't know if this is going to happen, but PLEASE bring compatibility with Google Play Music, otherwise this nice device will be completely useless for so many people, including me.

Buggy app...uninstalled it.

The app needs some stability fixes, but other than that, it does what it needs to: allows you to play artist based radio stations by wahwah. Once tuned, you don't need to care more about your handset, music will just play. The design is slick.

Without Spitify (dont like it) I'm not able to get a sound of my gramofon. :-( Add the ability to play the same music on several Gramofons simultaneously.

Free music on gramofon

First of I should start by stating that I think the hardware is great, but waiting for this app and the allplay ecosystem to catch up. The gramofon app crashes regularly when trying to login wahwah to Facebook. Has a very limited song skip limit, and why oh why should I need a separate Fon Utility app to set it up, please incorporate these settings into the gramofon app. It feels like I am beta testing a product which I guess it is since it's not on sale yet. Once mature, I' sure it will be worth 5 stars.

It's a kickstarter, and not fully out the door just yet. Set up of the Gramafon is easy but done in a separate application (why?!), the Wah Wah radio service works (had an issue with skipping songs, but that seems resolved); however, lacking the ability to play local music is severely limiting, and it's unfortunate Allplay is still in the pipeline. I'd very much like each of my gramafons to be able to operate indepently.

They keep your money and give excuses as to when they will ship the product. They are scamming people.

I don't know if it'll ever happen, but I'm not going to switch from All Access to Spotify Premium. I wasn't aware the device would be tied down to Spotify and Wahwah when I initially backed it (though I did see the email updates). Without Google Music and no local music, I'll just end up getting rid of the Gramofon. Also, the app is buggy.

The app has a lot of promise. I'm looking forward to more music sources, and fewer bugs.

Love the app and the gramofon. Use it all the time

Great idea behind this but still waiting until the day that I can play media from my device. Ever since I set the gramofon up, I have been having issues connecting to my chromecast. My chromecast shows that it's connected to my network but none of my devices (tablet, cell, laptop) have managed to connect to it. as soon as I unplug my gramofon as three of my devices locate the chromecast. I have tried using the gramofon as an extender as well as its on WiFi spot but the issue with the chromecast still exist

I was able to eventually get Wahwah setup and start the tutorial, but after that it just never works. Everytime I click on sources in the menu it ask me to sign into Wahwah with my Facebook credentials and then goes back to the main screen. It never actually signs into Wahwah. In short, the app is useless for me and I don't plan on signing up for Spotify Premium just to stream music. I'm hoping I can eventually get some use out of this... Edit: Well after all that, I followed Fon's recommendations to search for Led Zeppelin and it works now. I had searched for other artist and it didn't work previously, so I don't know what's special about this group, but it worked. So I'm upping my rating from 1 star to 3. My only complaint now is that this app should do the configuring of the Gramofon and I can't wait for further support of streaming media. No regrets for my purchase.

Although I'm supposed to be reviewing the app, there seems to be no way of contacting Gramofon or Fon on their website about hardware issues, so here I am. I was having issues with the sound quality of the device (which turned out to be an obstruction in the jack port), but found nowhere I could contact the help team easily. Once I had (through twitter) they were very helpful. The app is as slick as the actual product though, so 5 stars for that.

I have had the Gramofon for a week now, and after an inital week of frustration (I was not alone), Fon support resolved two issues already. As this is a Kickstarter product, flaws are inevitable. But they are working on it. As it stands, I can rate it 3 stars. The main deficiency is the (current) lack of ability to play local music. But as promised by Fon, that should be in the pipeline. Looking forward to changing my review to 5 stars.

Hi, i love Gramofon on spotify and generally love the idea behind it. This app I'm afraid won't work for me-i cannot get any music source to load. I've signed up for Wahwah with Facebook, but it says "connecting" and then must fail and shows the Gramofon tutorial. This happens every time I try to choose a music source. I'm in the UK. Facebook shows that the connection to Wahwah, so I wonder if it is something else. Let me know if I can provide more details. All the best, Kirsty

I had to pay CHF 28 (EUR 23) customs tax & handling fee due to a wrong declaration form by FON (declared value USD 90 instead of 50). I opened a ticket with the FON support - got a reply that it's not their fault (for no reason). Avoid this company, worst experience I had in a long time.

Working fine with my Gramofon and Nexus 7 and cloned network. No issues with sound quality. However Samsung S2 doesn't connect on clone or FonFree Frustrating.

Knowing it's a first time product from kickstarter I would cut it some slack, but I can't as I flat out doesn't work. (the app doesn't) but with spotify it's OK.

But the Gramofon it's great. The app should let me play my own content not only from the web and from payed content only. Partnerships are good but business should be good for all parties !!!!

You have to login to facebook. Otherwise this app has no functionality. (my gramofon is working fine with the spotify app)

Yet another in the ongoing trend of apps/services/websites that require the evil that is fecebook as the sole means of authentication.

I'm going to move house just for an excuse to test mine fully at my housewarming. Honest.
