Follett Destiny for Android
The desire to continue supporting the app without integrating scanning is shortsighted. Please remedy!
So sad there is no scanner. It's easier to type it in on a computer is I have to type it anyways :(
No scan app do not like keying in bar code! My previous follett app DiD have a barcode scanner shame on you deleting app! Absoutely useless makes my job harder!
The app is useless without the ability to scan (as everyone else has said for the past several YEARS). I can go to Walmart and use their app to scan a barcode to find out a price, why can't you add the scan feature. Deleting the app and won't be downloading again until the scan feature is added.
How stupid is that, that neither the patron barcode nor the book barcode can be scanned into this app? So inconvenient that we have to type in (and not even on a number pad!!) 14 digits per book. Not much point.
Why does this lack the scanning feature of the ios version? It is useless without that feature. When will you add that?
I agree with others. Without the ability to scan, what's the point?
This would be a 5 star app for me if it had a barcode scanner. ORIGINAL REVIEW WAS TWO YEARS AGO...STILL NO SCAN. This is really disappointing. I am a school librarian and this app would be helpful if I could scan books. Please add scanning Follett!
District is running 11, says district needs 10.5 or higher? Worked before now it doesnt. Did uninstall reinstall does not fix it. This app is USELESS
Would be awesome if I could use this for doing inventory, but no scanner, so it won't work.
Needs a barcode scanner! The whole point of this app's usability is to be able to do multiple check-in/ check-out without having to type in numeric codes. This needs a scanner option badly. It's available on Apple......why not here?????
This probably isn't as easy as everyone thinks it is, having so many different pieces of hardware to test against, but this app probably shouldn't have even been published without some sort of compatible scanning options. Even if it is only tested on a few devices, throw it out there with the feature. Scanning for some devices is better than scanning for none. If the random cheap terrible apps for barcode scanning can figure it out, Follett should be able to as well. The rest of the app is fine, and would probably earn 4-5 stars, but until the scanning option is enabled, this app is on the shelf.
It's crazy not having a scan feature for checkout and check in. It would also make the app so much more useful with a scan and an inventory feature. These are features librarians want.
Needs ability to search the catalog and scan barcodes. I keep having to toggle between two screens.
Not being able to scan a barcode is a big drawback. That said, it works fine for what it's supposed to do.
Installed on my s3 a few years ago, and then it just stopped. Same error as others are having. Says it needs version 10.5 or higher and our school is running a higher version. NEEDS TO BE FIXED!
I cannot scan the bar code. I can't even speak the bar code. It adds unwanted spaces that don't compute.
No scanning ability makes this app so very tedious and tiresome. *yawn*
This is really too bad, without scanning this app is nearly useless. And I was so excited to find it...
I love this app but five stars would mean I could scan it without using an IOS device
How do you scan their barcode and the book?
If the app would scan barcodes to check in/out items, I would definitely rate much higher.
You would think that with the negative reviews over a lengthy time period they would have figured it out by now!
Along with everyone else, I would find it more useful if I could scan. Also, the ability to renew, whether by scanning or a button on the patron status screen, would be a huge improvement.
Why can't I scan with the camera like the iPhone version!?
Useless without scanning...
Can't scan via Andriod....
Should be an automatic that this would be a main feature of this app. Get on it!
It is nearly useless without the ability to scan barcoded.
I was so sure a company like Follett would support the majority of cell users that I didn't believe my textbook coordinator when she said only Apple devices could scan. Very disappointing to see them ignore those who choose not to buy into Apple's proprietary ecosystem. I've always been a huge fan of Follett, but they lose credibility with me over this.
Wish I could get the 2.0 version that has the scanner. It would have come in handy today when our school had no internet.
I love that I have basic circulation functions right there on my phone when I need them and was pleased with how easy it was to connect to our server but yes, the lack of a scanner on Android is a real downer, especially since it's available on iOS. Please make it a priority for the next release - it would be much more practical at the check-out desk! Also inventory capability would be really useful to have on the app, since we could get more of our volunteers involved in the inventory process. Thanks!
Needs the scanning feature! I was super-excited about this app now that we've gotten some mega-upgrades, but it is basically useless to us. So sad. :( Please add scanning capabilities!
Must have camera scanning!
District is running 11, says district needs 10.5 or higher? Worked before now it doesnt. Did uninstall reinstall does not fix it. This app is USELESS
not doing anything
Add scanning !!!
No point to download big waste of gigga bites
No camera makes this so useless.

I'm still able to use the app, but its annoying not having the scanning feature
