Adven. of the Three Garridebs

The Adventure of the Three Garridebs (by Arthur Conan Doyle) is presented by Folium Partners. There were 56 original stories written by Conan Doyle and published in The Strand magazine between 1891 and 1929. The stories are divided among five series. This is from the fifth and final series, “The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes”.

Nathan Garrideb has a strange call on him by an American lawyer called John Garrideb who reveals that there was an American millionaire named Alexander Garrideb who died leaving behind his estate to him (John Garrideb) and two others bearing the same name. Holmes enters the scene thanks to Nathan Garrideb who is anxious to find a third Garrideb, but John Garrideb is not happy as he feels this reflects on his honor. However, Holmes has good reason to suspect John Garrideb of an elaborate deception.
