Adven. of the Sussex Vampire

The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire (by Arthur Conan Doyle) is presented by Folium Partners. The story is brought to life with all its characters performed by master Holmes performer, David Ian Davies.

There were 56 original stories written by Conan Doyle and published in The Strand magazine between 1891 and 1929. The stories are divided among five series. This is from the fifth and final series, “The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes”.

Mr. Robert Ferguson has a rather delicate problem. He is estranged from his wife and he doesn’t understand why. For all appearances and purposes, it appears that his wife is behaving strangely by biting her baby’s neck and drinking blood. She has also been found beating his son of first marriage in a storm of rage. What could be the cause of her apparent madness? Mr. Ferguson, convinced that she is a vampire, separates her from their baby and decides to consult Sherlock Holmes about it. Sherlock Holmes, however, has other ideas and quickly rejects supernatural explanations.
