Adventure of the Six Napoleans

The Adventure of the Six Napoleans (by Arthur Conan Doyle) is presented by Folium Partners. There were 56 original stories written by Conan Doyle and published in The Strand magazine between 1891 and 1929. The stories are divided among five series. This is from the third series, “The Return of Sherlock Holmes”.

Why should a wild-eyed Latin go around London, entering shops and burgling houses purely to smash miniature busts of the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte? Holmes knows. The man is not a lunatic, as the police suspect, but is looking for something concealed in one of the Napoleons.
