About FOBO Bike

FOBO Bike works directly with your smartphone to provide the cool features that comes with FOBO Tire. FOBO BIke is designed to cater for two wheel vehicles (motorcycles and bicycles) with tire pressure below 600kPa(87psi). FOBO Bike is the world’s first all Bluetooth Smart advanced Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for two wheelers and three wheelers. FOBO Bike uses the latest Bluetooth 4.0 that works directly with your Android and iOS device. The main function of FOBO Bike is to monitor the air pressure and temperature of two wheelers & three wheelers like motorcycles, Can-Am Spider, bicycles. It then transmits the readings to a smart phone where the user can browse. The user can set upper and lower thresholds of the air pressure. FOBO Bike will monitor the pressure based on the thresholds with its smart algorithm and will provide three levels of alerts when the thresholds are breached.

The app recently alarmed me of a low tire pressure on the bike before even starting it. I decided not to use the bike that day. A couple of days later after inspection I discovered a big nail in the tire. This saved me an inconvenient or even unsafe moment along the route. Well done Fobobike!

Product is awesome - best solution I could find out there. App is bad. It eats my memory (~100MB in constant use) so if I'm running the app, my battery drains before the end of the day. If I kill the app, I'll make it until after noon the next day before having to charge. Took a while to figure out the issue cause it's the memory being used that drains the battery, not the app directly, so it's hard to determine the root cause. Anyone using the car app on their bike? This app is 12MB while the car app is just 3MB.

Great app when it works. I have been using Fobo for a year connecting with Sensors is easy. But on 2 bike trips Fobo decided I had to re-register on 2nd day. With no WiFi and no 3G the app was unusable so 3 stars. Come on Fobo no other app asks me to login online to continue using it. In rural UK there is no connectivity.

Won't pair to the tire sensors Moto Z Force. Phone sees sensors when I look in the Bluetooth menu. Tried to pair, replaced batteries, pull batteries for 15 sec, rebooted phone, turned on all resources including NFC, just will not connect. I'm going to contact Amazon for a return of the hardware.

This app is the best thing since sliced bread! I had a tire pressure loss problem before I bought this. I would often find my tire pressure was too low after the ride, meaning I had put undue stress on my tires by allowing them to overheat unnecessarily. Now I know the tire pressure from my bedroom and I never have those unpleasant surprises anymore. I love it. I'm buying a set for my van which already has a tpms installed but this is so much better. It tells me which tire, the battery level, the tire temperature, the actual psi, and reminds me what the tire pressure should be. And it is super accurate. It also has a theft deterrent system that alerts you if tampered with and is useless to thieves as it is locked to your account. Also this app does not drain your phone battery. It does not register in the list of draining apps, How is all this possible? How do I purchase stock in this firm?

The widget and main display are different by .4 lbs for both wheels, which is the accurate one? The display always goes to about 50% brightness regardless of day or nite. I keep my phone at 100% all the time. Using samsung G6 on latest OS. Otherwise this is an awesome product. Any fixes possible?

Love what this software/hardware does for me. The only shortcoming is I wish I could silence the app when it senses a low/high pressure situation or set a silent vibration tone for a low/high pressure situation. I cannot always immediately go add air and at this point I have to silence my entire phone to get it to stop alerting me.

A must for riders. Knowing your tire pressures is critical, and this system lets you check every ride from your smart phone without getting down on the ground or getting your hands dirty. The app works well but of course could use a few tweaks. I'd like to see pressures in the main screen without having to click into a bike. I'd also love to see a widget for the home screen. And the overlay service should be more configurable - only appear over certain apps or only when sensors are in range. But overall I highly recommend this system.

Love this for a simple after market tpms. Love being able to configure multiple phones....Just wish I could acknowledge a low battery once and not again instead of each time I open app.

When you only have 2 wheels you need to know about your air and temp.

Love the FOBO tpms and it works great. I would love to see both tire pressures when I get an alert instead of having to open the app to see the other tire (Galaxy S5) . I think the info might be there on the alert but it's just to much to show in a single line. Maybe just minimize that info down to FT psi and RT psi. Really like the system, after having mine for awhile I got another for a friend. Plan on adding another to my other bike at some point to.

The app works well, but don't expect to see tire pressure when moving, it only works when you are parked. However, alerts will work when you are moving if your tire pressure goes above or below the thresholds you set per the developer.

Android 6 needs location is garbage. It is also always turning itself back on. Now I can't even turn it off.

X70%

Wish there was a way to turn off when not needed. Every time I turn off Bluetooth to save power this app scolds me for turning off BT. Resides in background constantly using battery.

Any adjustments of a profile requires you to re-setup communications to the sencer. There should be no need for this. Poor software design.

Great combination. Responsive developers added code for Tasker within a few weeks of asking.. Nice! Basics: Intent Received: action: com.fobo.bike.scan Task-Flash (simple display or add to overlay screen) Predefined local VARs: %airpair %position %macAddr %pressure %battery %lastreadtime %temperature

Motorcycle with air shock..

I use this app constantly. I ride daily and it functions well. I contacted the developer about 2 things. It is constantly running in the background and it requires gps on Android 6 or above. This is not an always on application, it should not be an always on application. I turn it on when I go to my motorcycle. My bluetooth stays off when not in use. So does my location. This is for security and battery purposes. There is no reason for this app to require location reporting to scan for devices that I can think of and the developer did not give me any reason. I should not have to manually shut off the app every time I turn bluetooth on or off because its service is running in the background. IOS is better at managing battery life because of the control of radios and apps, largely due to apps that operate like this. There are other permissions that I am not sure about but have not researched such as the permission to see wifi networks. I am not sure why this is required yet. Fix these problems and it will go back to at least a 4 star rating. The base capability of seeing tire pressures in real time truly is great.

Great safety product for any biker - makes checking tyre pressures a lot more hassle free! The new monitoring service really helps although I would suggest a setting to be able to hide it or pin it to the bar where items cannot be removed - its annoying being in my notifications tray all the time! Also batteries run down a little quicker than I expected (5 months or so usage) but very cheap and easy to replace!

The first safety upgrade all bikers should install. It's a pain in the butt to check your tire pressure the old fashioned way. Many of us run around on under inflated tires causing premature tire wear. FOBO bike solves this. One glance at your smartphone during your pre-ride inspection tells you if your tires are in the safe operating range for tire pressure. During your ride, if you develop a leak, FOBO will sound an alarm so you can pull over to investigate before you ruin a tire.

With new monitoring service, 4 stars. 5 stars will follow when you can hide the notification that's in my tray. That's kinda a little Annoying, and I understand that's me being kinda picky. Thanks again!

In the current version a permanent notification is present in the notification bar. To me this is annoying as it occupies limited space. Please remove or add an option to show/hide. Furthermore it looks like the way of bluetooth communication has changed and now permanently claims bluetooth. I need to kill the app to control my bee-wi bluetooth led lights.

I have a Galaxy Note 4 and it took some time, but I got it paired up. I did notice a 2 psi difference between my air gage though. I will have to keep that in mind.

This was a birthday present, s great one. Easy to set up especially if you follow the directions. A great feature is I can check my air pressure from upstairs in bed and then decide if I can hit the snooze button one more time, or if I have to go air up my tires. Pretty amazing tool. They should pass these out in motorcycle safety classes. Thank you!

One suggestion it would good if you could a different alert sound or even better the error spoken, to indicate a high reading or a low one. Sometimes i get the alert when riding through my headset but have no idea if its high or going flat. Thanks.
