About Madaraka Xpress
Madaraka Express is the Standard Gauge Railway services officially opened by Kenya’s 4th President Uhuru Kenyatta on 31st May 2017. The train operates between the capital city Nairobi and Mombasa as this is the first phase of the SGR project. Passenger and cargo trains will operate between the 2 cities each day. The 472km journey will now take 4 hours for the passenger trains and 8 hours for the cargo trains.
Madaraka Xpress app allows travellers to calculate prices between the 9 stations along the way where the train will make stops.

Immediately after the trains starts its operation between the 2 cities business people and travellers will be able to use this app to book tickets, ship cargo, view train schedule and get notification on train journey status.
The app makes it reliable and efficient to use the SGR services.
