Flynx - Read the web smartly for Android
I love this app. It's basically a web browser that opens in bubbles. It has a reading mode default, so it's ideal for reading the internet and isn't very capable of doing more elaborate things, which they acknowledge and have a convenient button for opening in a different browser in case the page doesn't work right. A big feature I would love is saved groups of bubbles. Sometimes I will sit down to start a reading session and I'll open 10 or more bubbles at once and start reading. If that gets interrupted I'll just close all the bubbles and even tho I can go into the history I would like to be able to recover those 10 bubbles as a group. Great app!
I love this app but it keeps crashing. Please fix! As I'm reading the page locks then disappears, sometimes I have force stop to be able to use it. Doesn't matter if it's my phone or tablet. It also freezes if I open more than 3 items.
Flynx is great a what it's intended to do. However, Flynx tends to act up when a device is in "immersive mode" (hidden status and nav bar); if there are multiple tabs open and have the desire to hit refresh, it'll switch to the tab behind the refresh button united I take it out of immersive mode. A feature I wish Flynx had is the option to open the alternative web browser from the menu in the right corner
I've been searching for something like this for years. Happy to have found this app. It's perfect. However, it tends to close while I'm reading an article. This is annoying. Fix this issue and I'll give it 5-stars.
It's an immensely useful app, but for the last few days it's got extremely unstable. It keeps crashing. And when that happens after I have selected 6 or 7 links, it just under cuts its raison d'etre. Uninstalling it for now
Won't start if you refuse to give it your phone number and IMEI. Revoking the permission doesn't in fact break anything, the browser minimizes just fine on incoming calls. Also adds page title and "shared with flynx" when sharing links.
Really good concept to read a link or browse a url. Sometimes open tabs are lost of tried to open not then 7 or 8 links But great work. Add an overlay feature to read at night.
Really love the concept, by far the best way to design a browser for mobile use. However, it doesn't work with LastPass (autofill or copy/paste) so that's a deal breaker for me unfortunately.
I should have installed this app a long time ago. This is how browsing ought to work on mobile.
from 5 stars to 1. idk what happened but I cannot use Flynx to read AndroidPolice, AndroidAuthority, Kotaku, etc anymore. I had to pretty much always use Chrome. Useless.
If I make Flynx the default browser and trigger an OAuth login flow from an app (say Slack), it fails because Flynx doesn't take me back to the app when it sees an app link URL like slack://. Please fix this!
This is my favorite quick browser but I'm about to switch to another if this problem isn't fixed soon. Can't even read my news anymore
With the recent update this has started crashing every time I open it. Infact doesn't even ooen the clicked page and crashes immediately.
An amazing app! Just what I've been looking for to be able to surf through emails and Twitter feeds without jumping back and forth from viewing links. Flynx loads them up to read when I have time.
This app is much better than Chrome's touch to search feature. Also saving pages is much better than pocket which used to be my go to app for the same previously. Most importantly I really wanna thank you guys for explaining each and every permission the app requires. Would like that privacy feature in every app. It's an awesome app with great features which I overlooked till now.
Great concept! Have problems with some pages not loading up properly hopefully it will get fixed soon. Definitely a must have app
This app is just amazing! For my phone with 1gb of ram (I think), it's the best thing I've ever seen, it looks like magic! Congrats, developers, you deserve it.
Useful idea for collecting links to read later without forgeting it while fallen in reading of main article without interuption and keeping it in backgroud for later reading.. I love the realization of this idea using Flynx for its simplicity and efectivity as I had to open intertesting link in article in backgroud tabs ie in FFox or Chrome or had to bookmark it and almost always forgot to return back for reading.. Realy useful app no need to say more;) try it and you'll say how could you live without it... Byebye drained resources by backround tabs opened ie on FF and say Hi for freed resources while reading thnx
Would be 5 stars if only it let you venture to the next page of the website. For example, some site may require you to go the the next page for more info, but flynx removes that :/ Aside from that tiny gripe, everything works perfectly :) awesome job devs
Moved to this after being frustrated with Link Bubble. Happy so far. Could add a couple of favorite sharing bubbles to swipe to but great for now.
Quite nice to be able to load pages and not have to stare at a blank screen while it does do. Also, being able to stay in app after clicking links feels so much more fluid.
A strange bug. Whenever Flynx is launched for the first time, the page will appear as blank. But after another bubble is loaded, the first bubble is able to display the page.
Sorting is not correct in 'Earlier' section in Recent tab. I have to scroll all the way down to check my most recent visited url. Fix this for 5
Brilliant app. Gets rid of all unwanted ads. One suggestion: it should allow the dictionary to open on the page it has saved for reading.
This app is so handy. Once you start using it you'll never be able to go without it.
Essential must have top app! Makes multitasking a breeze and perfect for the short attention spans we all have thesedays. I'd say this in def in the top 3 essential apps EVERY Android user with internet access must have!
Works like a charm. Although I'm yet to find out how to 'bundle throw away' all the links I opened through Flynx though I find the default disposal of one by one, a good thing.
It's great altogether. However would be nice to see a feature to open a page right away and a feature to kill tab with back button
when using it on lollipop it crashes very often. Otherwise it works no problem with marshmallow.
Interesting concept. I'm in the "try out" period...but so far so good. It may end up being a keeper.
Was one of my must-have apps. Makes browsing so much more convenient, especially with links in Google Now. It does crash periodically and seems to have trouble with dropdown menus. Currently, I have issues with it not working at all, i.e., connection timeout while trying to load page. Re-installing the app makes it work temporarily (several hours at most) before it breaks again.
Can u add the support for drop down list on some webpages. It says it doesn't support it, and asks to open it in another browser. Rated 5 stars, because u deserves them!!
The link takes lots of time to open in this, and same times it doesn't open give some suggestions what to do
Thanks for the update. It's really convenient to use this browser with the features like Article mode, display settings, save for later, sync. Thanks for unlimited tabs.
All good but one thing is annoying that when reading a Wikipedia page (well game of thrones Wikipedia different website) the links open up in the same page , i want it to open it in another, add an option to how to open internal links
Flynx can bring some extra features like Syncing the saved articles with Gmail so if install the app in other phone with same email id i can easily get my saved articles..
Major conflict with Google Now (Feed). Bugs the entire Android OS where you cannot interact with anything beyond opening the app drawer or sliding between launcher windows.
Became a norm since it's very useful and reliable. Still couldn't show a full fledged webpage quite sometimes. Hope it gets fixed.
Very useful! You can spend your time selecting next web resource to load while your current long read already being loaded in the background.

This app is awesome! Exactly what I was searching for for so long. Alas, I have slight annoyances with the app. I would love it if when your are in the Flynx side menu, it seems fitting that you may exit the app by tapping anywhere except the Flynx interface. This is not implemented! Messenger has made me feel this is a God-granted need, and it shouldn't be difficult to implement. Other than my issues, this app is amazing and what I was searching for. A-
