Moon+ Reader Pro

This was the best e-reader out there until a recent update, plus an update to Marshmallow. Now all of my themes were still technically there in so far as the names were on the list but all of settings had restored to default. My biggest issue is the soft key light. Before this I was able to use the settings to turn off the soft key lights when the brightness of the screen was below a certain level but now it doesn't work at all, no matter what %. It changes the screen to 51% when I try to adjust it at all.

I've been using this app for a year now and it has been close to perfect up until the past couple weeks. Unfortunately it doesn't get the reading times right, for example I read a book well over four hours but it shows only 0.7 hours and tells me I read 1500 words per minute. I've had this issue both on my LG mobile as on my Sony tablet. It would be nice if this was fixed.

I really like the app! The reader is easy to use and has a lot of useful features. One thing I'd like but can't seem to find is the ability to select link color in books. I'm reading a collection of articles that link to a lot of other articles throughout, and with my theme normal text is white on a dark background. Links, however, are a dark purple and kinda hard to read. (If there were an option for link color - and maybe visited link color - under 'visual options', that would be neat.)

The app is easy to use. You can adjust fonts , highlight colours and page brightness. All of the shortcuts can be customized. Only thing I would like is if a more personal way of organizing the books and pdfs could be created. I don't just have favourites. I have recreational books. Study articles and books. Language learning material. Ect. Putting this onto seperate shelves would be awesome and keep my library much more organized.

I have been trying different apps and looking for the best app to read my PDFs on samsung galaxy tab 2. And Moon+ solves my PDF problems. The PDF support in Pro version is excellent. This is definitely one of the best reading apps I have used.

"Was" being the optional. I havent used it in a week or so, I think there was an update. Now when I go into the catalogs like, smashwords or Moon+, I can't use the search. I just get an error message once I hit the search button. I either have to know the exact title or author. Which is fine, if you know both. Sometimes, you don't. Kinda sad to see this change. /response to reply: Even Moon+'s own catalog is managed by a 3rd party? If the in app search function no longer works then I'll find another app.

This is a superb bookshelf application. Great work with the search bookcover function, it's easy and makes the shelf organizing very satisfying. Perhaps in-progress books could have a bookmark hanging down the front of the book? It's the little things :-) thank you and I hope this is continually supported and improved upon!

SO MANY BUGS :-( app crashes silently right after you open a PDF and it imports books twice if you ever modify their title on your bookshelf. It's also a real pain in the ass to set up and so far I haven't been able to restore my backup. Actually it seems like it only backs up your reading positions and absolutely not your app preferences. What a joke!

Gays thanks for this superior app, but because i use it every day for reading, I need the opportunity to translate words with Google translate instantly after highlighting them. At the moment to translate word I must take 3 or 4 four action. Sorry for my bad English, I hope guys, you can make this true (update).

Please make it possible to set font size individually for each book. Publishers don't have a standard, and this means adjusting back and forth depending on what book I'm reading. It's annoying having to do this every time I switch books. That excepted, it's far and away the best.

Never used to have this issue with pdf files being read aloud with tts, now tts randomly stoping .i have tried uninstalling and reseting application but no success please fix the bug otherwise probibly the best android application i have ever come across .Thank you

I use this app all the time, no compatability issues & it works very well with my Note 3 & Calibre. A great variety of options, formats & features available all throughout the reader, so you can personalize it to suit your needs. Love it! Update: Jan.2017 - This is still my favorite reader app on my devices! Chock full of features and reading options, never have I had any negative issues!

It's been my go-to for years. I'd really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find anything wrong with it, the most I could say is that I have a handful of books in azw3 and tgz that aren't supported. But the other 350 books on my phone absolutely ARE supported, and with more options than I have time to figure out. Pro version is totally worth it too. It's a winner.

A great app except the blue screen filter obscures the text too much... How to switch it off? Not obvious as a process (...later... Thanks for the response about the long press on bottom left corner for controls, which I never would have found otherwise!)

I used the app for long time. Its time to pay for it. A fair way to say "thank you" for this excelent work. Would give 5 stars if I can use my own installed dictionaries instead of being forced to use others worst. It is very annoying to be obligated to install poor and full of adds dictionaries when I have professional ones already in my phone

It seems that I can only use one font for my reading. Here I have a book in which different fonts are specified, but with this application, I can only use one font for all characters. Hope in the future, 'Use fonts specified in the book' will be added into the options. A good application after all, but I will give 3 stars to attract developers' attention to my advice. Update: problem solved, thanks a lot!

I use this app for reading math textbooks. The only feature that it's missing is the ability to switch between bookmarks via a hardware key. You can only set a bookmark. The answers to problems are usually in the back of textbooks, and it's annoying to tap, the middle of the screen to bring up the menu, touch bookmarks, then select the bookmark I want every single time I want to check to see if I arrived at the correct solution to a problem. I wish I could jump between bookmarks by just pressing a volume button.

Brilliant reading app. I installed it to read file types not compatible with the Kindle app and now I actually prefer it over Kindle. Moon has a ridiculous amount of options. In fact, that would be my only quibble. There are so many options that it's not always easy to navigate the menus. That and it's obvious the devs are not native English speakers, which is fine, but they should have hired a native speaker to proofread their messages, just for a more polished/professional feel.

I bought the Pro version a couple of years ago and I've loved it. But lately I've been getting ads.... not loving that one bit. I pay for apps to avoid all those annoying ads. I may start shopping around which is a shame the app itself is great.

Couldn't be happier with this reader. Amazingly customizable! I can selectively ignore CSS so text can still have proper formatting, but I can change the background color to black.

I love that you guys continue improving this app. It's easy to use and customize, not to mention it's support for various file types. I doubt my opinions on this app will ever diminish.

New update again does not share highlights correctly! For example to Evernote. Fix it please!

It works good in English documents but with Arabic epub files, the lines are cut from the left side.. I mean words are missing and lineage are not correct.

I've been using fbreader for 3+ years but when I saw Moon+ go on sale I thought I'd give it a try. Moon has a lot of excellent functionality that I like, the themes are great and the fonts are so long I can't decide what I like to use. My biggest hangup is the sync. First the Dropbox option keeps coming unchecked in options on one device or the other. So I switched to Google Drive and now I never get jumped to the last spot I was reading at from my last device. I'll probably refund and go back to fbreader.

Very nice UI. The app is highly customizable - I really appreciate that you can add your own fonts and backgrounds, adjust margins, line-spacing, etc - just about anything. And the auto-scroll makes it perfect! Well worth it to go pro. Best android reader of the many I've tried out.

It is the greatest app for reading ever!I love it, it is simple,but very convinient.Install and try,you will keep it.One thing thought-add djvu!!!Because of it I have to install other apps,they are not as usefull as your app,but they have djvu,and a lot of textbooks are using this format...So DJVU please!!!

Works... Still works in 2015. Update: 2017 still awesome. It's reading books to me for a while now. When you get used to that it's very convenient. Use it together with Calibre.

I've used many different EReader apps. This beats them all hands down! 2017 and still think this is the best EReader out there!

I switch back and forth between physical book and ebook. How can I see the page number at the bottom instead of percent complete? Also don't want any tap to open Control bar. It's very annoying.

It has built-in drm control. It doesn't let you read pdf files that are easily opened by any other app. Everything else is good. No support for djvu

Very happy with the app. Does what I need perfectly well and without issue. At this point the only thing that'd be nice to have would be an option to create folders in the All Books section to help with large libraries

Very clean reader with lots of features but never lets it get in the way of reading. Especially great for the random ebooks you find online, and I've had it a full year now with ZERO issues. I don't normally go for the paid option for apps, but this is an exception.

I have tried other readers but prefer Moon Reader. I first used the free version then gladly upgraded to the Pro version. Highly recommended! Still the best reader into 2017.

Great app, been using it for a good while now. For me it's the best reader there is. I have one request though, could you integrate support for the Merriam Webster dictionary app? Anyways, cheers for all the good work!

Was happy to pay for pro. Simply the greatest reader I've found in years of searching. Tough to pick up a regular book after having all of the options available on this app. Thank you developers.

Since a few versions of Android (4.4+), I am unable to access any book stored on my micro SD card, making the app utterly useless...

Reads tons of formats, however, I have noticed it won't automatically import cbr or cbz files.

Good to see proper epub3 support, surprisingly this is a rarity among ereaders. The only thing that would make it perfect is real-time cropping of PDF files (or sticky zoom).

No reason to even try other e-book readers. This one does it all. Looks great, tons of options and settings, this app is exactly what e-books are made for. Worth every penny.
