FlightView Free Flight Tracker

This is the best app I've found for flight tracking. My husband travels to Asia from time to time, and this app provides very up-to-date, detailed information. I've even been able to use the map view for domestic flights within China. Nice features for searching by arrival/departure cities, creating a trip with multiple flights, merging trips, notifications, etc. The one tricky thing I had to really hunt to figure out: to delete a flight or trip, you have to LONG PRESS on the item to get the delete option. May be obvious to everyone else, but not to me. I definitely recommend this app to track flight status.

One of the Ads pops up and tries to convince you that your phone has been hacked. Mind your ads flight view. edit: App developer contacted me for more info on malicious ads. Upgraded from 1 start to 3 stars for good response from developer.

I just downloaded this today December 18 2017 at 3:48 PM and app immediately told me that it could not connect to the flight view servers and to contact support. This did not even deserve one star. I hope to hear from these developers as this is not right.

Great data, but regardless of choice, you ALWAYS receive notifications. That's annoying.

I can't even open this application. I used it all the time. Now it's all frozen. Install/reinstall didn't help. It's fixed! Changing to 5 stars (11/20/17)

New version 4.0.16 is awful... roll it back! #1. It's not obvious where you login like it was in the older version. I finally found it but it took a minute looking through the tabs and settings since it's two levels deep in [Options] ==> [Settings] now. #2. I can't login for some reason. The full site lets me login, the mobile site doesn't seem to have that ability (or it's buried) and the app tells me I have the wrong info. :-( ===== Don't be sending e-mail to my calendar contacts without my permission, or anything else naughty!

New layout make the app run super slow...this layout is better for a phone..not tablets

Back to 5 stars! Thanks for addressing the issues devs! This is simply the best app for Android for tracking flights and getting notification updates.

I loved this app until the ads made it literally unusable. Couldn't event type a flight number in to start! Had to uninstall

It would be nice if we can search arrivals and departures for any given airport in the search by route option with just one airport code. Otherwise a nice app.

just downloaded...my vision is poor.....I'll lwt you kboy it works for me...do you have a division that works with ADA filks like myself??

Used it for tracking flight schedule. Works great. Shows updated departure/ arrival time, terminal, gate number.

Great for tracking family flying.

Just installed latest version 4.0.5 - but now not getting notifications of flight status changes - departed, in air, etc. Especially, no visual icon in the notification bar! Moto X, 2ndGen. These notifications are an important feature for me, and I can't see any way to configure. (did set a new sound, since new version changed it).

This was a great app... until the latest update. Now it is completely unresponsive (when not crashing). No choice but to remove and find another app.

The latest update messed it all up. I'm going to roll back to a previous version. This does not work anymore. Please fix, I use this weekly.

The new version is terribly slow. What a horrible update!

doesn't have the ability to effectively type into the search bar, because it moves the rest of the screen so far up to accommodate the keyboard that it is unusable.

Developers are quick to fix bugs. This is one of the more accurate flight tracking apps.

Format isn't as helpful as the original formal.

As of the most recent app updates notifications are no longer being given

Crash alot

1/8/17-Flight NH7 SFO to Narita status not updated after 2nd delay. Sharing flight info is very limited to few apps. 4/2014-Nice update and layout but just super slow! 11/2013-At airport now delayed two hours and although last minute delay, status still not updated. Otherwise pretty good app

I use this on three different phones and log in with the same account. When I saved a tracked flight on one device, it used to sync to other phones and get push notifications on all. Now it stopped syncing for no reason. Please bring it back! Also I noticed a lot of freezes/crashes lately.

Update 9/2017: Evidently there was a server issue that has now been fixed. I reinstalled the ap and was able to set up a future trip and flights, but have not yet tested the actual flight yet. Earlier in 2017: This was my highly recommended go-to ap that I used for years. Then in the spring of 2017 it started freezing up on me. I uninstalled it. I just tried installing it now and it won't even let me enter the airline. It's frozen from the get go. I am so bummed.

It's a great app. I use it here and there when I have to pick up family , friends or my girl. very useful shows you where the flight is in the air ,and if it arrives early or if it's delayed. definitely worth the price ...thank you and keep up the good work

About a month ago, whenever I'd try to look at a notification or refresh the flight status, it would freeze on me but then it would be okay after I exited & opened the app again. Now, for the past 2 weeks, it's completely frozen and I can't even type in a new flight to track. Can't click on any of the buttons, absolutely nothing. I even uninstalled & reinstalled but it did the same thing. Just uninstalled for good. It's a shame, I really liked the easy interface but I need an app that works :(

I've been using this app for years on all my various devices and it was by far the best out there. I was always encouraging others to use it because it was so accurate and reliable. I don't know what has happened, but I'm not getting ANY notifications anymore. I have double checked the settings, switched notifications off then back on, cleared my system's cache, cleared the app's cache, rebooted my phone, everything I can think of and still nothing. Please fix this and I'll bump it back up to 5 stars.

It would not load the flights that had been added through the website, so I tried logging out & back in and it won't let me log in. Keep getting: Cannot Log In Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again. Killed app, cleared data & cache. No help. Have been a satisfied user for quite a while, though not a very frequent flier.

I love this app..always accurate but not working right now when I need to track my hubby's flights home! Never crashed before! Restarted my phone and it worked partially...just displayed the flight status screen, then froze. Tapping it again brings up a black screen. Please fix!

This app is very good and easy to use in comparison with other apps. I use it for work. However, it has become a battery hog as of the last couple of months, draining battery even more than the screen of the phone and Google services combined. That's why I'm using the web version in the browser. I like the simplicity of the app but I had to uninstall it because my phone was dying quickly. Please fix.

It's by far the best app for tracking your flight with accuracy. I use this app for my job and serves me well in telling me exactly when the flight lands and arrives at the gate. Much better than other apps I have used. The only flaws are that it's very slow, takes a while to load a flight, gets stuck randomly. Please fix this! These small bugs will make this the best app out there. It's been like this for a long time so I would appreciate if the developers look into the bugs and fix them.

I've used this app professionally for almost 3 year for my Limo service. Was very satisfied until this month, a slow month. It used 13.5MB of data in background. It has never done this. On average, in a busy month, I use about 7MB-8MB total. I would not and will not recommend this app ever again. Be very diligent and watch out for this Data hungry app.

However, that's 2 flights now, that have shown absolutely nothing, except for when it departed. Nothing on the map, no altitude, no speed etc. BTW, clearing the app cache doesn't fix anything. It still doesn't work. Furthermore, when the app does decide to work, The flight info is off by a good 10 minutes or so. What's going on guys?! Your app used to work flawlessly!
