FlightAware Flight Tracker

This used to be my favorite flight tracking app, nice display, very accurate and now it doesn't work any more at all. I can't track a flight today as the date is stuck on yesterday and I couldn't find a place to alter it. So even though the flight is in the air, it states it landed yesterday. It does display it on the map though but without a little plane. Just a line that I am not sure updates ... Really a bummer. Can u guys pls fix this ? Such a neat app

App works, but they are offering Widgets for the phone home screens that don't really work. You have to completely reset the widgets to update the flights. Additionally, the sample screen for the airport status shows a map, but that is not actually available when you try to use the widget. Would like to see some online support for these features and to make them more useful. They also take up way too much space for no reason. 4x2 on the screen, but the content only shows in a 4x1 space. There is just dead space above and below.

Don't bother with the app. FlightAware's website is far more interactive and offers a much richer user experience than the app. The mobile website provides you with more information, laid out in an easier to digest manner. It's as if FlightAware hired an A-level team to do their website, then paid a bunch of low-rate contractors to write an app that scrapes the website for data and then presents a limited set of that data.

The app is pretty good. The radio buttons which are supposed to segregate general aviation from commercial don't work. However if you track arrivals as I do there is a workaround. Instead of using the airport tab use the route tab. Input originating Airport and arrival Airport for the route. It will list multiple flights over several dates but at least one will be able to track a specific flight that is of interest.

The concept is good but this app WAY behind their competitor especially after the latest update of days competitor. FlightAware needs to completely redesign this app and offer more features, ability to see actual aircraft paint schemes not just random photos. Also this tracking is not accurate in terms of position.

Necessity for any traveler! I couldn't fly without this app. So simple to use and way more informative than the airline. Has helped me numerous times when my flights have been delayed, and the alert feature helps not only me but my family and friends who are meeting me at the airport or just want to track my flight!

Tried tracking a condor flight from Frankfurt to Vancouver, and the flight doesn't even show up in the app. No matter what I type in, the app simply does not even know the flight exists. However, other apps find the flight just fine. Uninstalled and am now using Flightradar24 which has more up to date information on flights anyway.

As a photographer/spotter, I use this app all the time to track incoming flights. At my paying job, near a major IAP, I used this app to keep a dying patient apprised of her daughter's location, from takeoff to landing. I told her when the plane landed, and that her daughter would be at her bedside in 20 minutes. In twenty, she was with her mother until the time she passed.

I rated this app a 1star for several reasons. It doesn't allow me to enter future flights more than 3 days out. Even return flights on the same conf. Code. Second. The app only lets you put in 3 favorite airports without upgrading. Fine. I went to the upgrade screen and upgraded. I was still not able to access more than 3 airports at a time. turns out the upgrade only removes ads. You have to buy pro otherwise. Not stated that way. Felt ripped off!! Of course no refunds.

Love this app. I always wondered about those planes flying over, where they're from and going. Now I know! Also tracks flights my friends and family are on so I can pick them up at the airport precisely on time. .

Bought the app so that I could enter more than three airports. Turns out, the money I gave them only removes ads and I need to upgrade to a pro account. This sort thing makes me regret downloading the app. Be aware.

+good UI +great features - not really 'real time' for tracking nearby flights Hi Devs! I really like your app and think that the UI and expecially the feature richness are comparable if not superior to other services. Nevertheless there is one thing that is bothering me: The latency of the data for the 'nearby flights' page is pretty high. If you could find a way to improve hat I think your app would be even better!

Does not allow tracking/recording flights more than a few days in the future, and has a very clunky user interface. Not an app that I would consider reliable.

This app is pretty much useless. If you have flight alerts set up when you select them instead of giving an option that makes sense like actually see a flipping map it only takes you to a screen to update notification settings. Getting to an actual map is an effort in futility. I have to go to the website to track a flight real time. Unless you search for the flight number all over again which defeats the purpose of having it saved. SAVED flights should be under My FlightAware NOT under search. Duh!

If you're looking for an app that tells you what flights are overhead, this might be good. But its limited features, clumsy navigation, and cap of five future flights make this product pretty weak. You can get more than five flights of you pay ..... $20/month! Uh, no. Response: Yes, I know I can delete flight alerts after I'm done with them. But I want to track more than five, and I don't want to pay a ridiculous recurring charge to do so. It's ok, you don't need to provide this. I found a competitor app that does it for free. And for a mere one-time $3.89 charge, I got it without the ads.

the scrolling of the flight info is extremely annoying. for example, when looking at all arrivals for an airport, i have to wait for arrival times to scroll across the page for each flight. it would be better to have the departure time and arrival time display fixed and not scrolling continuously.

The only thing going for it is that occasionally, when FlightRadar24 doesn't show a flight, this one does. FR24 has a vastly superior user interface though and is the one I always try first.

Very, very disappointed. Tried to make an account, and kept getting a "No Internet Connection", no matter how I messed with my connection settings. Lastly, the flight info that I verified over many different websites was incorrect in this app. I like to use this app to keep an eye on family's flights as a peace of mind, and yet the flight that is in the air as of the time of this writing is apparently supposed to be leaving tomorrow! Will not be coming back.

Why does this lock up and restart everyone I try to view the live map? It's been doing this for months and multiple reports submitted to no help.

I am a professional driver. I need an app which provides clean, concise and precise data about flight arrivals at one glance, without excessive information, multiple swipes, or ad dodging. I need to keep my eyes on the road, not scanning the app, trying to decypher relevant information from a swamp of irrelavent eyecandy. Flightboard was perfect for this, but since its discontinuation, we were left with THIS as an option by the developers. I'm sad that your new corporate sponsor hasn't seen the valuable niche it singlehandedly occupied with Flightboard. There were many happy professional drivers who relied heavily on that app! For THIS app to be useable for drivers, please change the airport arrivals screen to more closely resemble the Flightboard app, making simple information available with one swipe and a quick glance! We need the basic arrival information (arrival times & flight numbers) without logos & ads. Move all the additional information to an expanded screen, which could be accessed (if desired) by a single tap. We are happy to pay for no ads, if we can have access to a clean & quick way to see arrivals, scheduled arrivals, recently arrived, and final flights for the day in one simple, swipable list, which is easy to read while driving. Thanks!

Not easy to use, interface is not intuitive. Was unable to find a flight, wouldn't recognise that tiger flights use 'TT' as a flight code. Yielded no results when searching for a Tigerair flight with the flight number l. A quick google search shows the flight and time of arrival, so my details were accurate, but I wanted to track it as there have been delays.

Found our libyanwings airline showing as liberian world for some reason, however, flight number and timing are ok. Overall needs more detail oriented updates and live info. Keep up, not bad.

App worked great until a week ago. Living on the flight path for TPA, always fun to see who is overhead and when the heavies are landing. Now, when I look at anything specific, it crashes. A map, specific flight, tail, etc. Crashes. Something happened on the back end. Have submitted Pixel Android logs to FlightAware with no response. Will take rating back to a five when it's fixed.

I love Flight Tracker. Big fan of the website, loving the app even more. It doesn't toggle well between views, but that's about it for me. I don't use a lot of features, but it's great for being plane nerdy. Family always send me their flight details now so I can have an excuse to use this app!

I work for an airline and when I go to type in a flight number it won't let me pull it up or even example I type DAL1234 it won't say DELTA 1234. it won't search for my flights. Very frustrating

Some flights have no info (shown as never departed), but almost good for a free app. Please allow showing planes on map with location turned off!!

Alerts are now all messed up and the app will not save changes made in the "advanced" section to try to correct/modify them. App has always been a little flaky, now unusable for my purposes.

Freezes up. Can't log out. Won't show my fights, airports, alerts. Nothing works. Going back to flight radar24. Just as well it's free, that's what it's worth.

The app is good for tracking flights. It gives correct information means which airlines arriving and departing from origin to destination. But prob is plane icon position on map means if any airline flies above my location at the same time flight icon located on somewhat 2-3 km behind from my location. Why it is? Which problem should i consider? Is it my net problem or something else?

Crashes after about a minute of being open and the search function stopped working. It would also be nice if the airport name and time didn't move like in the phone version. Otherwise a good app

This app fails to have the most simple of options useful to all air travelers. The app does not allow the user to log future flights and keep them listed on your phone for future reference. Service desk is awful. Won't answer questions with straight answers.

Got it to be able to set alerts for flights to pick people up on time. Alerts are completely​ broken and do not save. App is worthless to me without that function.

Gone down hill it would seem as you do not get the flight details of some flights on the map. Was a great app before, sort this out and make it great again.

This app has significant glitches lately. Flights are not loading, and often you receive "flight not found" when you are tracking a flight.

I am an airport operations manager for the country's busiest airport. This app used to be invaluable but has since become more or less useless if not dangerously unreliable. More often than not it will not allow you to login ("communication error") and whether or not you are able to login you cannot search flights ("flight does not exist") even though most of these routes have been operating daily if not hourly for the last forty years. I will continue to use the website the small portion of time I am in an office. Otherwise I have been searching for better options while mobile.

I have 2 flights tomorrow. It is impossible to add those flights. The app insists on adding a flight that is either already complete or the next (delayed) flight. Thank goodness I didn't pay for this.

Does not work reliably, seems to freeze regularly. Android 7 HTC 10. Have just started to useb it so perhaps something I don't know yet.

Used to be excellent now just reasonably. At one time flight alerts would be sent to your device via email. No longer happens. Have to continually check manually. Was my number one flight tracker now just use it as a back up source. Disappointing as on the whole very accurate.

Not adding the right flight, I have a flight coming up soon, and every time I try to click MY flight and MY time to add it to track, it picks a different one to 'Add To My Aircraft' it picks a diffrent one that shows on my list. I have cleared the apps cache & I even uninstalled and reinstalled. Makes no sense what so ever

I've been looking high and low for something that can pick up where FlightTrack left off, for keeping track of a pilot's schedule. This one's got a convoluted workflow, can't search by route, and won't save alerts, so the search continues...
