Wow... Just wow! If you people really read these reviews, I'd be very busy fixing what you broke. You HAD absolutely the #1 sports app in the store. Also now... When you select story to read from news feed... Read it.. Then go back to news feed... Now you have to scroll back to find where you left off??? Scroll back through ads and new stories to get back where you left off??? Like so many others... I've used this app since day 1. Never even thought about a different sports app. Now however.. You have ruined this once marvelous app. Only good reviews you'll get are from "new people" who never experienced this once superb sports app.

I loved from the start since I downloaded it in 2011. Now, I think you're trying too hard. People loved the simplicity and easy to use interface. Now every time I get in the favorites section it shows a message that says "oops something went wrong" and I tried uninstalling the app and installing it again and still nothing. One thing that worked was to delete all my favorites and add them again one by one, but if I add more than three favorites it shows the error again. Also I really don't care about teams' Twitter and Instagram updates, I can see those updates in, you know, Twitter and Instagram. I just want the great quality news and analysis you provide so greatly in an interface that isn't full of useless things. Fix it before people switch to espn and other apps.

A great app has becone less great since redesign. My downgraded rating is regarding the Feed. I want news, not tweets. I like the way you did it in the past for MLB - the tweet feed had its own section within each game. Was just trying to find F1 news but the Feed is full of adverts for a film (I get that you need ad support) and tweets that don't really tell me much about anything. Too cluttered and I'm out if here, does that not defeat the purpose?

I'd pay money to go back to the old UI. Terrible terrible update. I'm afraid I'm going to have to switch to something else. Update: As 90% of the review responses suggest, I've "given it a try" and stand by my review. Everything that made this app great is now gone. Same garbage all the other publishers put out.

App was great before the update. The update made the app annoying to navigate. Someone should lose their job over this ridiculous change. I'm moving on to another app until they revert back to the old version.

Recent update is cramped and slow. Huge thumbnails have made it difficult to find any actual news. League titles are a retina searing white. Support is claiming that it should not be running slower but it certainly feels slower. The classic clean app that we all loved has been wrecked worse than Haywards ankle.

This sports app was the best on google play until this confusing, complicated update. A sports app should be simple and straight forward (like it was) to get your scores. Too many unnecessary bells and whistles now. If you get a response from thescore they say "if you need help navigating through the app just email customer success team" Really?? Email so you can explain how to navigate the app? Well, that just tells you how cumbersome this update is. Uninstalled.

The new app won't allow me to manage and save the order of my favorites. Everytime I rearrange them and save it, it reorders them. Hate to let this app go. It's been my favorite for 5 years. Hope they fix it and fast.

Overall a good app but the ads have gotten to be out of control. One huge ad about Latino dating sites or other mildly inappropriate things every 5 articles. Please at least include an option to pay to get rid of them!

The new update is not good. The new functionality is bad. The widget looks worse than before. The alerts have become annoying. You guys likely will not, but please revert to old app. Your devs failed on this one.

Old version was 5 stars, new update is horrible. Used to be my main sports app now it sucks. Why does my feed need 6 separate articles telling me the Seahawks signed Freeney, one or two would be fine. Too much information trying to be displayed at the same time. Navigating to different leagues news scores is more complicated.

Have used this app for years, new update is total garbage. Your app was popular because it was basic and simple. Now you just made it exactly like every other sports app,you know the apps with the formats we didn't want to use so we used yours. but you also went a step further by making the ads larger and more common. I have video off and it still crashes. App has been deleted. Way to destroy your own product.

Worst ever since you changes the GUI. Hate it now. Can't see what's most important to me..my teams I care about ..instead I have to scroll through useless leagues that I could care less to see. Go back to your old GUI. Deleted and moving on!

"The only sports App you will ever need." That was my old review. No more. Now the Score is just a knock off of Bleacher Report. I am extremely disappointed with the new update. Please add my name to the growing chorus of users who much preferred the older version. The more I use the new version, the less I like it. Come on guys. It is time to respond to all of your loyal followers.

App is not user friendly, takes forever to find simple scores. Have to scroll forever. Tried to rearrange my sports with NBA first somehow it's hidden and it won't show me any scores except what was in my favorites. Don't like the fact articles from various outlets are posted on this ie LA Times, Bleacher Report etc. This app is just too much, too messy and all over the place. Please bring back the old version. Sometimes less is more.

If I could give it zero stars I would! The new update has completely ruined the app. App used to be amazing and it was the one and only I used.... Not anymore. I missed a portion of a game as I was working but was keeping updated with the score. The app showed me that the first period was over so I walked to my local bar to watch the last two periods. When I arrived it turns out the period was not over and I missed a goal! This is not the only issue I have had but it was the last straw. I will be deleting the score immediately and using a different app going forward. Change it back!

Very good app, just has become a bit harder to navigate with the update. It would also be nice if the 'Feedback' option actually worked, instead of being a second 'Share' option. There has been quite a few times where some authors/articles do not relay information properly.

This was the best sports app with fast easy scores and news. But updated the UI making it graphic heavy and now it's slow. And it now just shows blank pages sometimes that even an app restart doesn't fix. Finally had to dump it because I couldn't keep up with the World Series.

Ruined by the new update The old version was clean. On a news section, I could see several headlines on screen without scrolling. Now one story takes the entire screen, so you can display a big photo. This condensed view was THE EXACT REASON I USED YOU OVER THE OTHER APPS. Now you got rid of what made you better. Also, I'd like it to open to top news every time, once you fix the story size in the feed of course. Please review your old app, or msn sports to see how I'd like it. I will be using msn until you guys fix.

So I want to make it clear, my rating is specifically for this new update. The app was a solid 4 stars prior to this update, now I barely use it because of how frustrating it's become. My main issue right now is I can't figure out how to view the box score during basketball games. It's probably just my incompetence, but it wasn't this hard to find before so I'm starting to get irritated.

I just downloaded this app to get updates for certain hockey teams. I selected the favourites option for the team's I wish to follow however no updates are coming through to my phone. My bf is getting his team updates, even after the app update. All notifications are turned on for my device. Why am I not getting any notifications pushed to my phone?

Ive been using this app for years and was my go to for score updates and news. However the recent update is terrible and my review is based on that. The layout is convoluted and not user friendly. The scores also don't show up sometimes resulting in multiple refreshes which then kicks me back out of the NHL section. If the interface is revised and improved I will resubmit a new score but for now 2 stars is all it gets. I'll be using a different app until then.

App still does everything I need it to, but the new update has made it significantly slower to browse through different sections. Too much focus on Twitter feed and videos now rather than scores and stats. I've also wished for a long time that I could just spend a few dollars and remove the ads.

Haha we all hate it. It's complicated, messy and impossible to find what your looking for. Why would I have to un-select all the different sports I don't want to see. You guys must of hired some new developers. Can you send them back to where they came from. Use to be my favourite sport app now it's the worse. 2 weeks until I uninstall. Good luck

This WAS the most used app. The newest UI update is absolutely salted garbage. Think Windows Vista bad. The developers got rid of what appeals to most users. Simplicity and ease of use. Instead they pulled a "let's make this look cool" and absolutely failed on both presentation and practicality. Dustin Johnson 3 putting in the 2015 US open thinks this update is am absolute fail.

Please, please, PLEASE, at least give me an option to change back to the old view/layout. This is ridiculous. I use this app every single day and it has now become a chore. I refuse to update to the new version on my tablet and am stuck with the new version on my phone. Why fix something that wasn't broken? It was perfect before. Now, cluttered is an understatement.

Well it has been made clear by other users that this new update has caused upset amongst the users but a problem that I notice is the scores for games specifically the NHL often not appearing. If your development team could just add a feature that allows you to go back to the older version of the app, that would be nice.

What in the heck did you guys do with this app? The new update is insanity, so much more cluttered and difficult to navigate. And what in the world are you doing with player stats? I used to be able to be able to see each teams stats player by player, now I just get a some player list about whether someone is injured or not? Please, do not make me go back to yahoo sports. I'd hate to, but come on, you have to clean this thing up.

I was going to write a scathing review of the new update, but I see everybody writing these 1 star reviews else already pretty much summed up my feelings. Nothing about this update improves anything, and in fact takes away functionality. Two thumbs down, if I had more thumbs, those would be down too. Nice job fixing what wasn't broken, devs.

Agree with everybody else. The update is awful. Forget the layout, it just doesn't work. I no longer get updates about my team. I'm sitting here 1 hour into a game and the app hasn't even updated to show the games have started (this is in regards to the football happening in England). Really bad. I hope you guys fix it because you had a great app before

Used to be the best sports app but since the new redesign it's terrible. I just want the top news feed and easy navigation back. Thanks for responding, however the new UI and slowness of the app still makes it barely usable. I have had to find an older version APK online and install that to continue to enjoy your app.

The Score App works well ev The feed freezes too much since the "major change" update. Please put back the option of displaying thumbnail images. My android phone does not freeze with other apps. Rating down to 3 as it is so annoying.

Biggest update ever leaves the poorly positioned ad at the bottom that always gets hit instead of the menu selection of home button. Developers said they would fix. Developers lied. Rating lowered again. Funny how the images of the app don't show these ads. Additionally the iOS app doesn't have these intrusive ads.

Awful update. Gave the new update a chance. Too many bugs I've reported that still haven't been fixed. Real fun looking at a double screen that you can't decipher. Also leagues don't open they just close the app. I guess they aren't fixing any problems. More like take it or leave it attitude. How are they still getting a 4.3 rating?

App was much better before it's most recent update. I use it to follow my fantasy players. Now it hardly ever has write ups on the players, only stats. The loss of filters in the favorites is also bad because I can no longer separate fantasy football from nba players I want to follow.

This is the worst update ever! The articles are sourced from terrible, trying-to-be-"hip" writers. But that doesn't really matter because it's now so hard to read any news! Top News and Trending is now gone! Please address this! I rely on this app to keep me updated on the sports world and I may have to look elsewhere if things don't change.

Used to be the best app for sports but now it's impossible to navigate and find things.. not intuitive and complicated. EDIT: there are a million reviews on why the new app is terrible yet you just send a cookie cutter response to everyone saying give it a chance and asking what we don't like about it.....

Really hate the update. Gave it plenty of time. Just couldn't deal with it anymore. Plus it opens up not at the last thing I did, but something I did several clicks back. Which is frustrating for keeping track of game scores because you have to find what you want every time. Done.

The new update is horrible. Used to be the only mobile app I would use for sports and now I am left searching for something new. Videos take FOREVER to play. Links to twitter post rarely work. Bring back the trending section...big mistake getting rid of it. So many more ads while scrolling through posts. Worst update to an app in a long time.

IMO the new update sucks. I loved going on and checking the stores as well as stats periodically during the evening. This evening when trying, it shows me the scores but it will not open summary or stats. News feed are displayed way to large slow loading and much more time consuming to navigate entire app. Please go back to old format!
