About Multi-User App Share
I have created this app to help enable apps across users on Google's new 4.2 multi-user feature.
It works by removing package elements from user's package-restriction.xml file to add the app and adding the package element back to remove the app. (located at datasystemusers10package-restrictions.xml where 10 is the user's id)
The app will then be visible on the second profile without them having to go to the play store and install it. Apps still have separate user data so game scores ect. will not be shared.
This is quickly thrown together and will likely have a ton of bugs, but I wanted to go ahead and get it out there for testing.

- it is currently built to run on main user to enable or disable apps on secondary users (once root is fully working on secondary users I will see about making it run correctly on secondary user's account)
- not tested thoroughly with paid apps*
- due to the way I pull the app list from the package manager some installed apps may not show as available to add/remove
- apps installed first on a secondary user's profile will probably not show in the list to add/remove
*any paid apps that use Google's license verification will probably not work or not work for long. So adding your Google Account to the secondary user's play store is probably still the best way to share paid apps.

Added my son to my nexus 7 to see if this concept works. 2 Google accounts and it is working superbly. He can now access all of the apps that I want him to whilst we have our own workspace and seperate saves. Thank you for this

works nice on rooted Galaxy tab 2 7.0 p3100. Just does everything as advertised. One minor issue is, whenever you make changes using this application, you need to reboot the tablet in order to get the new settings in effect.

Wow, if you share a tablet with android 4.2 and have any paid apps, this is a must. I was able to put all the kids' apps I have purchased under their own "login" so they only get the apps I want them to have. If this app was $5 it would be well worth it.

It would be useful to be able to share apps from the other users to primary user (owner) since for now is possible to root the other users with supersu. In other words, having this app installed in other profile than primary, let select the owner user to share apps this way.

This app rocks, if you want to lock down the second user for children. Having app store disabled is nice for secondary users(children)..not accidental purchases! One request for the app developer...make it possible to copy initial game save data to secondary user. My son got really far on a game before I setup secondary user and now I either have to let him play with primary user or he starts over. I tried coping data from the path in your "overview" from primary to secondary, but I must have missed something as it didn't take :( Other than that, 5 stars

Works great so far and lots of potential here! Would be great if I could also lock down Widgets and also a certain amount of the status bar, ie. WiFi and bluetooth etc. [Edit. Found a status bar solution within my custom rom, add widget or menu removal and it'd be 5 stars from me!]

Are there plans to support 4.3 or 4.4? I have had issues after upgrading my nexus 10 to the latest 4.3 OTA. I did root after the update.

Only thing is I wish it would work with app guard seems any app's that I removed some permissions from won't show up

We need to be able to handle applications for the primary user: I want to be able to install some games for my daughter's account and remove them from mine. I really do not need to have access to them from my account. Great interface! the ability to handle applications per user is much more easy than handling users per application like other apps do.
