About Field Hockey Dribbling & Moves
This is just one of several field hockey apps - part of the PRO Field Hockey membership.
Elite field hockey players are able to get anywhere they want on the field. They are able to do this because their dribbling skills are highly efficient and effective. This program will introduce you to all of the styles of stick handling and dribbling, and provide you with drills to practice these techniques. Also, this program introduces you to effective moves that you will be able to use in games.
Featured Dribbling Styles
Straight Dribble - Allows you to control the ball and is the most common dribble that players use. The ball will never detach from your stick.
Loose Dribble - Similar to the straight dribble but instead of keeping contact with the ball, continually tap it forward while moving. You will be able to advance the ball up the field quicker.
Indian Dribble - This is a highly useful dribble where you push the ball to the left and right side of your body.
Dribbling Pull-back - Use this dribble to shield the ball from defenders.
One-handed: Right Hand - Only used on the right side of the field to shield ball from defenders.
One-handed: Reverse Side - Only used on the left side to shield ball from defenders.
