Fitbit

App worked flawlessly until a few days ago with the most recent update. Sync errors constantly, stopped tracking sleep patterns, and is very delayed updating stats on automated detection workouts if it even picks them up. From a Note 5.

I can't get my email, text, or incomin g calls to link as notifications on way n the fitbit blaze. This is why I pd extra for this feature. Hopefully a fix to app soon! Disappointed

Update (7/12): App continues to crash when adding food. Tiles keeping changing even after reediting them. Can't edit alarm times or anything else involving time.

I used to love this app for my fitalta until they "fixed it/updated it"....Afterwards my phone wouldn't sync and just froze up everytime I tried to use it. I even called the customer service to see if it could be fixed....I was told that all of a sudden my phone "isn't supported" Great! That's why I paid the extra $$$$, to see the results on my phone!!!!.....I am beyond disappointed.

It was fine for a while but since the last update my charge hr won't sync at all. I've tried all the trouble shooting but it just won't connect despite restarting my phone, uninstalliing the app, restarting Bluetooth etc. Disappointing.

What in the world fitbit?! I had a charge HR when I first got the app & it was amazing! I just got a Charge 2 & the apps updates look horrible & it refuses to pair my new fitbit. Hours of trying everything & it still won't let me get my new fitbit set up. Complete waste of money when it used to be great.

This app ran very well until the recent new version of Android, which makes the app completely unusable. Changes are not saved, and whenever you try to log anything, the app completely crashes. Until the app is patched, rating two stars. Otherwise it runs well and displays data in a very nice and usable way. The only thing that it lacks in my opinion, when it is functioning, is integration with Google fit. After attempting all suggested troubleshooting, the app remains unusable. Even after the recent update, Fitbit app remains largely unusable, and therefore my Fitbit device is even largely unusable. I do not recommend this or any Fitbit product if you are using any current generation device. The Fitbit is Android 8.0.0 incompatible, and Fitbit staff has personally responded to me saying they will not support Android 8.0.0 until officially released.

Changed my life. The messaging format is horrible. We don't always remember what we wrote, and our own comments aren't saved. Always having to ask what said in order to answer back. Bug: notifications don't sound. Alarm edit doesn't work Android O

This app has a detailed way of keeping you informed of your activity and health. It definitely keeps you in the healthy frame of mind after the suggestions and info provided. The sleep info is great and I enjoy the bpm also. Can't say enough great things about this app and the fitbit blaze. It works flawlessly with my Samsung s7.

So this was weird but today my notifications just started working on my Blaze! I am so happy about this because again I have had one of the original Fitbits since its inception. I know some people may complain that this took a long time but understanding the complexity of coding and etc having to do with different manufacturers platforms and etc can be time consuming. I am grateful that this has been resolved as far as I can tell and I will continue to support your products!

The old layout is better ( easier on the eye) because you can swipe left or right to for daily comparison. sync are still slow. Still wouldn't buy Fitbit again! And latest update killed old dashboard very sad.. Just kill you app some more fitbit to be like Apple

Syncing issues have become a constant problem. Sleep and heart rate are only Syncing about every 2 days. The sleep record has reverted back to the old version. PLEASE FIX!

Great device and app. Lost heaps of weight using it and have had none of the technology issues other have had, even with the latest update (on Samsung S7 edge). So, why haven't I given it 5 stars? Fitbit seems to stubbornly refuse adding kilojoules as an option, despite dozens of complaints and the fact most countries use kilojoules. Annoying, and - unless it changes - my next device upgrade won't be a Fitbit.

A good app, but still slow and buggy. There is an issue when entering serving sizes or quantities in the food database, when whatever is entered is deleted a few times. It takes 3 or 4 times to actually get it to stick.

AWESOME set-up, easy to use, and helps you keep track of EVERYTHING fitness, not JUST your step count, contrary to many ppl's beliefs...i love it!! And can also challenge friends w fitbits to reach certain goals!!!

The Charge unit fell apart in 9 months. Was sent a replacement but cannot get that one to sync up to the app so it's useless. I really wanted to like it but just didn't live up to my expectations.

Two years I've been using this app just fine and have never had problems. Suddenly I can't sync my blaze. I've tried resetting my blaze, turned off/on Bluetooth on my phone, reset my phone, uninstalled the app, reconnecting my blaze to the app and I've looked through every goddamn help support question on the fitbit website. Still nothing.

My charge 2 worked perfectly till I tried to update the firmware. Now the only thing it shows on the fitbit screen is an exclamation mark. I can't update it, it won't sync. I tried all of the trouble shoot that Fitbit told me and everything I found on the fitbit forum. I tried with a pc instead of my phone. I tried to unpair it and pair it again. I won't pair anymore. Beautiful but useless piece of smart watch right now. Don't know what to do anymore.

So tired of this app deleting my workouts after I've logged them. It will use the GPS to track them, which is great, and the app will crash and lose ALL DATA. So infuriating! And when I manually add my workout in later, of course it doesn't show the map, calories burned, anything. Plus it adds a ridiculous amount of steps to my step count when I manually add steps. So frustrating. Will consider a different fitness app in the future. PS don't reply telling me to make sure my app is up to date, like the response to my last review. Yes my app is up to date. Two people I worked out with today recommended I use the Nike app as the fitbit app is too unreliable. So angry. Editing to add that the app still sucks, months later. It disconnects from my fitbit in the middle of a workout, therfore losing all data. Also it WILL NOT SYNC. I've been trying to sync my fitbit to the app for the last hour unsuccessfully. I've had these syncing issues for about 3 weeks now. What's the point of this plastic on my wrist? Because at this point, a useless piece of plastic and some used up space on my phone is all fitbit is. Horrible, horrible app.

Liked the app until I changed my phone and now the fitbit won't sync with the new device. Checking troubleshooting and there is clearly a sync issue going by the number of other people who are having problems too

Updated to 4 after latest update seems to have fixed the bugs. I can see step count now. Still slow to sync but it is alot better than before loce the fitbit. App improving.

I would happily bump up my rating but I tried to set my active hours from 10pm-8am and it wouldn't let me. It did not register those hours as "consecutive". As someone who works third shift this is very frustrating.

The app does not count my steps towards my challenges if I add my running session manually. That's very discouraging.

I love my Fitbit but find the performance of the app to be frustrating. Waiting for sync can take minutes and often requires restarts of the app (including stopping the app from Android) and restarts of my phone. I do love the encouragement/feedback like the red dots for each hour that I get when I walk at least 250 steps in that hour.

Honestly I use to love this app but now it's not syncing and I can't do my challenges with my friends! I had it where it would sync on my phone and on my windows 10 laptop and neither is working help get the bugs out so it will sync. And before you tell me to go here and go there to check if I have the right requirements I have already done that!

I really like my fitbit charge hr, but I can no longer use it with my LG v20. Also the Bluetooth won't pair with my device, but would usually recognized my device anyways. Sadly it no longer does. I hope it gets fixed soon. Once it does it will definitely give 5 stars. Update: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and nothing. It still can't find my fitbit and the location is on. It hasn't synced since June 2nd!!!!!

Unreliable fitness tracking. I tracked 6 hikes this week, and the app only saved 4. Used to be dependable. I just tracked a 5 mile hike and got the summary screen. When i hit the back arrow, it's not listed on the log. Gone and no record. Does anyone know of another app that can use my steps recorded from my fitbit One so I can reliably track my hikes?

Works perfectly with my Alta HR, easy to navigate and edit, fairly customizable. I feel like the "active minutes" recorded aren't always accurate compared to my daily steps and how active I actually am at work. Haven't done much with the food tracking but I like MFP for that better simply for the database. Water reminders for the app and Fitbit would be incredibly helpful so I don't need a separate app just for that as I often forget to manually record my daily water intake. So far after using this app with my Alta HR for over a month I've had no issues syncing my data, I just choose to disable All Day Sync because it murders my battery. I like the widget feature as well for my home screen! Overall, aside from a few minor gripes I enjoy using this app and find it motivating. I recommend Fitbit and the app to customers at work.

Update on July 14th, 3rd update that STILL hasn't corrected the Bluetooth connectivity issue. What the hell are they updating???? It would appear they're just breaking things that used to work. Sigh... Recent updates have messed up the Bluetooth interface. I almost always have to disable, then re-enable Bluetooth in order to get it to sync. This wasn't an issue prior to the last 2 updates.

This app used to be wonderful! However recently it has been "acting up". It doesn't track my sleep accurately, it starts my sleep several hours past the time I go to sleep. Also it let's me change which activities I want shown but then the next time I go in it has them right back. It also doesn't sync the best. Today it won't even show my steps. When I go to edit it shows that I have steps on but it won't track them. Very frustrating, please fix!!!!!

"A phone restart may be required to re-enable notifications." Why do I have to put up with this naggy, harassy message every 3-4 days when I have the Android Notifications feature intentionally disabled!! I DON'T USE OR WANT THE ANDROID NOTIFICATION FEATURE! OMG, STOP NAGGING ME!!

Overall the app is sufficient. So far, I really love the Fitbit as a tool to keep track of my workout goals and keep me accountable for maintaining a minimum step/amount of cardio/etc a day. I haven't had problems with syncing. The biggest issue of the app for me is that it doesn't track steps, heart rate, or calories by the hour. It only has the totals at the end of the day which isn't always helpful depending on my workout and meals for the day. The second issue is the format and userability. It's not complicated, but there's so much going on. Swipe screens might be better to show each goals, like calories/steps/heart rate/etc. There has to be a better design

I mostly love this app. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the interface between my Galaxy S5 and my Blaze. Notifications are unreliable, I usually get text notifications but rarely get incoming call notifications. Also it would be really great if my Blaze would let me know if I'm too far away from my phone. This would be very helpful in preventing forgotten or lost phones. I love the sleep tracking!

After the app updated, it refuses to sync with my Blaze. Went through the troubleshooting steps to no avail. Very frustrating. Please fix! Edit: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and updated its permissions. For some reason, my phone didn't give it access to some of the necessary permissions. All fixed now, thank you!!

This app is a hit or miss. It NEVER syncs when I need it too. How is is supposed to be accurate? The app says unable to sync or it can not find my fit bit. This is very aggravating! My boyfriend's app does the same thing. Can this be fixed please?

Syncing is a nightmare, lose my rag all the time with it. I honestly just wish I hadn't of bought the fitbit, seems like more hassle than it's worth. App crashes, refuses to sync and is a general time-consuming nuisance.

The features of the app are great, however the actual functionality of the app leaves much to be desired. Synching takes far too long, or it crashes the app. Menus and gauges take very long to populate. Using the app can be very frustrating. It does offer all of the features I want, like silent alarms, sleep monitoring, exercise tracking, etc., it's just too difficult to use and view those features.

Love this app when it works but it often fails, particularly when it fails to sync and does not record sleep correctly. I have had my fitbit hr for four weeks now and it has started not syncing in the last week. The only way I can get it going again is to uninstall the app and reinstall it again. Also it fails to record sleep fully on an average of two days a week giving basic sleep details instead. I paid extra to have the hr version and expect this to work consistently.

App was 5-star spring '16. Now summer'17 and I'm spending too much time trying to make notifications show up. Ugh. Followed all tech steps and even added on a reinstall and i still have problems. It shouldn't be this annoying

Does not work since update: cannot synchronize it with OP 5. It simply asks me to restart the phone, Bluetooth and so on... Sync error. Frustrating! Never had any issues before.
