Clear Outside for Android
Seems to be a stable and useful app, I just don't know how go read it. There is no explanation onto what the numbers mean. It is confusing and hard to read.
My favourite weather app. Not sure which models it uses, but it's mostly pretty accurate (although sometimes not - displaying probabilities may help here).
Wish the app was better explained shows numbers and colors not really sure what they mean. Hopefully they can re design it to help some of us understand what it means.
Generally good weather data for my location, but the interface on my LG G4 is very very large, and scrolling is almost impossible! Used to be marginally better than this, but almost unusable now. Otherwise, and great free app, thanks!
Phone has recently done a software upgrade and the app has gone 'sticky' and will not swipe across the screen anymore. Have reinstalled it but still no good. Shame as this was a great app but cannot use it properly now.
Used to be okay and mostly usable before last update; the home tab wouldn't scroll reliably but current location tab worked okay. Now neither tab will scroll reliably and they either move painfully slowly, an hour at a time, or disappear off to the end of the week. This happens on both my Nexus 6P and Nexus 7. #UPDATE# - thank you so much for the reply and for fixing the scrolling issues, rating amended to five stars!
Great app! Really helps for when i want to stargaze and use my telescope. But may i suggest you add a feature that the app can notify you when the skies are clear at night? Would really appreciate youre kind consideration and reply. Clear skies!
Works great, however what do the colors mean? What do the numbers mean? It's easy enough to interpret the intent of the information shown, but it would be nice to know exactly what each variable means. Also, it would be beneficial to have the Lunar Altitude.
Love the app, but it recently scrolling to future forcasts isn't working. It scrolls a tiny but and stops. Please fix it :(
Hot you can fix it, app is nice though questionable accuracy
Sideways scrolling now moves screen in only tiny increments - so takes a long time to move display period by a few hours - enough to render app unused much (Android 6)
App says clouds, sky is clear. App says clear, cloud and rain. Functionality sucks, wouldn't be a problem if the cloud cover is correct.
this app is awesome but it wont work well in my nexus 5. i would rate it with 5 but only if the lag issue solved.
It's awesome tool, very clever; it's not really a big issue but I think it's not really meant to be used on smartphones with vertical orientation, also because the poor UI response with the horizontal scroll, very slow.
Mostly very accurate, even if the UI is primitive. I'd love if you could configure it to show your current location rather than the home location by default. It has to load that location before you can change to "current". Edit: thanks for the reply. I've done that, but since the app is most useful when not at home I still need to tap "Current". Changing the home location to a location where I'll be is one way around it but still not the best way. BTW - hopefully you'll get a few more installs, I posted about your app on my blog (inphotos dot org - replace dot with a real dot!)
Great wee app and check it every day-have yet to find a weather forecast that is 100% accurate and tbh this is no better or worse then others. Cannot give it 5 stars though. A recent update means it takes FOREVER to scroll through the hours and it is driving me to distraction! Please for the love of mercy turn it back!!! Update-after a V.q response from first light optics the issue is now sorted and I am happy to give to 5 stars-Cheers guys!!!
This is a fantastic app, but the performance seems inconsistent on my HTC one m8. I don't have this problem with the iPhone app. Not sure if this affects others?
What a super app. Have really struggled to find any app that is UK specific that comes anywhere close to this. Most apps will provide information but not as clear and informative as this. Great job and Free!
Nice idea, nice design but useless when info is not accurate. Wanted to photo last night first full moon on the solstice for 40 years, instead of traveling 30 miles to a local beauty spot we stayed local as info said 0 cloud here. How wrong, cloud built from 9.30 and was totally covered by 11. Would of had clear sky's if I'd stuck to original plan. Only got to wait till 2062 for the next, will be long gone by then. #gutted

Was a good app. Unusable now due to lag and freezes.
I have never had any success with any weather forecast app. They're all equally worthless (This one, AccuWeather, Weather Underground and of course the worst of all, MetOffice). I decided to give ClearOutside a go following recommendation from Stargazerslounge. Unfortunately, like the MetOffice app (I'm assuming ClearOutside uses their data), this one can't even get the nowcast right! As I write this, the ClearOutside forecast for the last 24 hours has been 0% cloud cover, but in reality we have had 100% cloud cover throughout that time. It's bad enough when an app can't accurately predict the weather in the future, but when it can't even tell you what is happening outside RIGHT NOW you have to question what the point is. I have uninstalled ClearOutside, as disappointed in it as every other app I've tried. I recommend Sat24 - just look at the satellite maps for the last few hours yourself and make up your own mind. You can't do worse than this or any other forecast app.
I just clicked on the data n got anr immediately. I got it again the next time. The app is good but needs a lot of work
Great concept if it worked but completely unreliable. Almost never correct
Super laggy on Android 6. I know it's not my phone that's lagging cos I can still pull down the notification bar smoothly, it just keeps on saying clear outside is not responding
Really nice app ... and it's free ! go and buy a telescope form these people as a thankyou for their efforts :-)
It's a little light on ui design but it does what its designed to well.
Worked fine for a year but not on Android 6.0 at the moment. Scrolling is way too slow.
It's great, but I wish we could set our own home location. Any chance to make this app open source? Would love to contribute.
It does not scroll smoothly on my new phone. Was great on nexus 5
Very helpful app for planning astronomy nights! Couple of things I wish it had: ability to switch between C and F temperatures, and I wish it could be a little more compact so that I could see the time and humidity without having to scroll up and down.
Great app until I upgraded to android 6.0, scrolling is now unusably laggy. Cleared cache but no improvement. Presume its an OS issue and not the app, but an update would be greatly appreciated.
I absolutely love this app. Very easy to use and quite accurate. The ISS info is an extra bonus! I've already talked with some other members of my Astronomy club about it and they're onboard with it as well.
I use it on a daily basis too
Amazing app for astronomy weather. I use the website all the time but the android version barely works on my Nexus 6P. The scrolling is unusable for the most part. Once that is resolved I'll update my review to 5 stars!
Suggested improvements, data on Aurora (even though infrequent in UK), and maybe a configurable alert when conditions will be perfect.
Been waiting for this to hit android
This is fantastic, so good to have this in Android at last! The only reason is not a 5 score from me, is that collapsible dates (similar to the website) would be great. As a frequent user of the website, I find the collapsed view of the week ahead useful in planning my astrophotography outings.
Some description of what is displayed would be great. I don't understand the numbers.

Shows as no cloud. Thick cloud outside. Used to be quite good but will have to watch to see if this is a glitch. Update Feb 7 pouring with rain and app says no chance of rain! Removed
