MailWasher Mobile Anti Spam

Does not work. It saw the mail on my POP3 accounts the first day or so but now it never sees anything. Firetrust is disgusting. I've run the original "pro" (paid for) mailwasher version on my PCs since about 2000. They stopped supporting it about 2005 but came up with new new version that is complete garbage. I tried it but decided the old version was much, much better. Hope they come up with a working android version, but not holding my breath. Forget the current version.

Since updating to Nougat on my Nexus 9, app no longer shows new waiting emails for each account and requires 3 or more swipes to update and download any new items. Also is flagged by Norton Halt as having the Apache Cordova vulnerability and they advise uninstalling.

Works well enough now the bugs have been ironed out, wish it still had bounce capability for those spammers that have harvested email addresses from websites. So I can pretend I don't exist. Previously : Constantly signs me out and refuses to connect to server. Notifies me I have new mail then cannot connect to the server for me to mark which is good or bad. This is a very poor app compared to the Mailwasher I know and love. Worked well on the previous app and even this one worked for a few weeks. Have used the PC version for many, many years, actually thinking of uninstalling :( now white screens won't start up, logs me in, Syncs accounts but unable to contact server? What does it contact to to log me in?

Very unreliable. I spend time spamming and deleting emails, only to find them in my email program, and then have to start all over again!

I use your software on my pc. Its good and does the job. You should have a widget on the app that could display mail, check and notify say every 15 mins. Would be better than having to open the app all the time to check. Could run in the background..... Also, when something is swiped left and marked as spam, there should be an option to hide it from showing again. Spam should be blocked, hidden and marked for deletion on wash automatically. This would be a good option.

If it cannot bounce mail it is of no use to me. A waste of time. I still like the pc version and have been using it since before firetrust. Plus. I bought this product before fire trust owned the company. Ripoff trust did not honor that purchase and tossed me out with the garbage. Do not trust ripoff trust. They burned me.

You need to make sync as an option and not force people to create a account and then log in everytime. I use IMAP not Pop3 so when I delete an email at work or send one from my laptop at home my inbox looks the same on my phone. I use Mailwasher Pro at home and work and I only read email on my phone because I can't wash the spam. This app would be great to wash my mail on the phone and I would even buy it if it actually worked. i have no need to sync my accounts so why do I need to have a firetrust account to login and wash my email.. I don't need this login for work or home why for mobile... make that an option instead and then maybe I give 5 stars

What good is a mobile version if it doesn't sync with desktop or online accounts?! About 90% of the time I check my email on phone, but if I'm on my laptop, I'll check it there. So if I designate an email good or spam on my cell phone, it should sync and show up the same on desktop. Otherwise I have to do repetitive work if a spam email comes up on my cell phone and I mark it, and then an email comes from a spammer while I'm on my laptop, so I have to mark it again. :(

It's just lost my email accounts despite showing logged in as one of them. It won't do more than about 25 emails on each of the accounts I did have setup. What is the point of having a sync capability if it won't automate account syncing? I've wasted too much time on this

I get a lot of spam on my 30-year-old email address, and use Mailwasher Pro on my PC, which works fine. Have also used Mailwasher Free on other machines – no problem. So why is the Android version such absolute rubbish? Even when it's sort-of-working you have to try ten or fifteen times to sync it, whether on a good wi-fi connection or on 4G. Today it has been extra bad and has only synced once, despite two restarts and uninstalling and reinstalling it. It also keeps forgetting my account details. Awful.

Android version is unreliable. It fails to login sometimes, and does not list current email. A nice feature would be some type of login confirmation like time and date.

OK on one PC, but sync across devices doesn't work, and support is lifeless. Pro is overpriced. Beware! App is bonkers, it reports email notifications but can't log in to access the app interface or read anything. Useless on phones. Even when it works app doesn't allow junk senders to be blacklisted by swiping to left as intended. And junk senders can't be added to the blacklist, which stays empty!

I spent a fair amount of time getting the spam list and blacklist correct on the PC version. I then created an account per the recommendation so that it would transfer to any platform that I logged in from. That doesn't seem to be the case. Installed the android version and blacklist only has one entry. Went back to PC version, all entries are there. Confused...

Has to be manually synced at least 3 times before it refreshes and picks up the spam. By this time my regular email app has already got the spam and is displaying it in the notification bar. It is actually quicker to let the spam go through to my email and manually delete it from there than to waste the time using this app. Also doesn't appear to be a way to automatically add senders to your Blacklist. Suspect email addresses have to be manually typed in. Time to uninstall.

Click on icon to open the app and get a blank screen. Was OK a few days ago. Before this I would have to drag down to synchronise several times to get up to date

Have used the desktop version since the start but the mobile version is a poor imitation. I have to swipe numerous times before it syncs, if at all, with email on the server. Please fix.

App doesn't appear to have same capabilities as the PC version (which I just renewed), e.g. ability to bounce mail. Also, it usually produces a blank white page when opened and has to be closed and reopened. I just uninstalled and reinstalled it and it froze completely after installing. Had to restart the phone and now I'm uninstalling it until Firetrust fixes it. (Galaxy S5)

Would not let me setup goggle accounts and ended up locking me out of my accounts for security reasons...

Can mail washer on android be setup to intercept emails before my mail app. I have the pc version and wouldnt be without it. Is there a mail app which will sync with mail washer Pro? (let it process emails)?

Keeps logging me off. It also doesn't open on first attempt and takes two attempts. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but didn't help.

I entered my info 5 times and I got no account exists ....but if no account exists then why would it have my email address in the log out section ....

Installed this today, tried to add the first account, which was a Gmail account, and it would not connect. Just tried it on a standard pop3 account and it has the same problem. It will not connect.

I installed it. It all went downhill from there. Don't recognise Yahoo settings, really!

I get an enormous amount of spam on my 30-year-old email address and MailWasher Pro on my main computer is essential. This app helps a lot too. Delighted with it when I had just got it. But after using it for several months, I wish it worked better. It is usually well behind with what has actually arrived, and seems to check mail at random times, often widely separated, Why doesn't it check whenever I open the app? Also, every few days it forgets my account and I have to set it up again. With improvements to reliability it would be excellent. (Using a Galaxy Note 2 with KitKat,)

Bought a pro version but was not able to add even a single email account, tried from PC as well as mobile app. Hope you provide a solution

Doesn't remove any spam. Actually. Spam increased big time. Time to remove!

Would like to see this replicate the desktop version, with bounce, etc.

This was great on a pc, so trying on phone. Can you confirm if spam is deleted or bounced as you desktop application used to do, so over time, spam senders would give up?

Tried to login with tablet received invalid username or password. Using same username and password as my mailwasherpro uses

Oh dear. It started so well, but has stopped automatically checking for emails and only works when manually syncing it. Even then it can take a while for mail to come through. I'm moving back to Aquamail, which at least lets you schedule checking intervals (and works).

Stay away. You can't trust Firetrust. I bought MailwasherPro in 2003 (still have the receipt ) but they threw all their old customers away and started their subscription service. Bad news.
