Night Vision Camera

Ok it's better than my expectation... I don't have any infrared hardware, or any other stuffs in mobile.. still I could read the laters written on my antenna on terrace at night with a very dim light of moon.. it's not the actual night vision, but I hope newer mobile comes with those feature.. Yeah, 1 more thing, my default camera couldn't do it in same light.. Atleast with this app I could see the outline of the object n lot more.. Such apps should b rated more. 4 for now from me. :-)

I know ads are necessary but they seem to be the primary feature of this app. It took my a while to figure out how to use it like a camera, since there isn't a "take picture" button. The save button works for that. And I wish it was really night vision. What it does do is change lighter colors to colors we perceive as "hot" like red and orange. In the dark nothing actually shows up in the image. Kind of disappointing. Said the girl who had never written an app and does not understand heat sensing technology

Turned it on and walked from lighted room to dark room. It was not working. It turned on flash LED and that looked good, but it was still no better than my own vision. When I turned the LED off though, the night vision starting working great. I could see details all over the room that it did not show before. I walked thru the house to another dark room and the same thing was true. LED on/off and it worked better than before.

Does exactly what it claims! To those who say it doesn't work I suspect have not tried to set it up correctly. It works wonderfully and is easy to function. UPDATE 05/28/2015: Used this to shoot photos of solid red painted Stratocaster guitar and the wood grain below is clearly revealed! It appears as if there is no paint on the wood. It is an x ray camera in this use! Too cool!

For those who are saying the app doesn't work, please Google night vision technology and start reading. There is no night vision that doesn't need a light source, for pure darkness night vision devices use infrared as it's light source. What all night vision devices do is enhance what little light there is, that's what this app does and it does it well. It also has zoom and sensitive settings which makes this app a cut above the rest.

Night vision equipment enhances visuals so you can see IN THE DARK! And that's NOT what this app does. It adds "snow" or static on your green screen and to see more than static you have to switch on your flashlight (eliminating the "dark" part completely!) and look, haha, I have night vision! NOT! I can switch on my phone's flashlight without this STUPID app!

I can't believe it, but this app actually works. In low light conditions, the standard camera was almost completely black.Another app showed some good detail, but this app showed the most. Correctly, increasing ambient light reduces noise. This app allows the most noise of any app, giving you the most low light detail of any app. Use another software to merge images together and get amazing low light photos!

Cam. Shutter speed 50fps ( low end)every 3 frames 1 is a spectral send (not IR) 2 is the base line pick up (constant) 3 is the radical radical oppisite of spectral 1 frames. This app is great! I use it when it's too dark to take a normal picture w.o using a flash...like when I want to snap a pic of my kids sleeping but don't wanna wake em up. Yea! It works great! Best app I've seen yet. My only complaint tho, and it might just be my phone, but when I move the app or move my pictures from phone storage to storage card all the night vision pictures get erased. I hate when that happens. I've lost many pictures that way. I wish they could fix that. :(

It will always come down to the camera on the phone and how good it is and what it is capable of, this app tweaks the camera to the max and gets the best it can out of it and I was very impressed. It really does work on my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Maybe a bit grainy, but what do you want for free?.

I've read other comments, and yes it is similar to night vision googles, but they're supposed to help you see in dark places, but this app still need light.. when it gets darker, you will only see grains, not clear picture.. yes this app can enable your flashlight, but if i can use flashlight, i can see without this app.. when the area gets too dark for my eyes, it gets too dark for this app too.. so, no thx, uninstall in less then 5 mnts..

Software doesn't open Google Nexus camera api properly on marshmallow so image is upside down. Looks more like a simulation if night vision though, my own eyes show far more than this, but this does look kind of like what my real night vision goggles look. Except they actually do something....

Been using it almost a year now on 2 devices, currently on the HTC One, works perfect no flaws, very useful when their is no room for error and the mission must be completed. Many lives have been saved thanks to this and you have no idea and probably never will, but nevertheless my team and I thank you

Their are 3 different phones in this house that has this app on them and all 3 are running at the same time. But yet each one says different words. Two of the phones were right next to each other. And yet two different words, and one was picking up ghost dots while the other wasn't. So there ya go its rigged.

This really improves the phone's low-light camera viewing capability, and can be good for night vision when paired with a flashlight. Idiots need to read the disclaimer before giving low ratings when it doesn't work in pitch black darkness without a light to pick up.

It's a neat little low light app. I downloaded it with the intention of showing my kids that the little IR lamp at the end of the remote control works in a range of light that the human eye can't see. Worked like a charm. But it's not a $1000 night vision scope so it has its limitations. But it for sure sees light the eye can't see.

No, no app can work as real night vision, but this app takes better pictures in dark than the standard camera app. This app works great. I did a side by side comparison with and without this app, and without this app, my selfie was a black picture. With this app, you could clearly see my face. I'm on a galaxy s4. I can see better with my eyes in the dark, but this app does what it's supposed to. Let your phone see in the dark better. I had no flash on too.

There is NO app that a person can download to make their phone legitimate night vision. However, this app does work fairly well. I've tried the top 10-15 apps claiming to have night vision. This app is by far the closest to the real thing. I so know, due too military in the M.C.

I'm absolutely amazed. I thought it would just be an app that turns your camera green but when I tried it in total darkness I can actually see a grainy outline of my face. My camera is only 2mp so that would explain the graininess but I have no complaints. It's an amazing app especially since its non profit

I'm pretty sure there has to be a light source, even though all it does is put that green screen over the picture. Just downloaded after rooting & phone cam stopped working. Gonna play with it, the picture looks good like a TV night vision look.

Works very well. Only app that works at all (for me) in total darkness... yes it's very grainy (if it's completely dark) but that's to be expected! At least it still works! Perfect for capturing wildlife at night, moon is more than enough lighting.

One of the few night vision apps that is actually night vision, not just negative pictures. Not to mention it's free, which is always good. This app is not coming off my phone! Works very good when you need to find something under your seat in a movie theatre.

When you don't have the flashlight on it looks weird, but when you have the flashlight on it looks awesome but I think this application would be better if it would look like the flashlight on but it's not. You get what I'm saying, if it could look like the flashlight is on but it's not, u see I'm trying to use this in the darks but I don't want to turn the flashlight on, and if I do I'll get noticed

This is the first digitally clean night vision camera that I have ever seen. And its ad free. Note that when you first open it, if it looks all grainy or snowy, turn on your flash. Great job developers. 5 stars! Let me know if you ever create a good FLIR.

All is good but its not what the pictures look like. Please fix plus this game needs some light like a bedside lamp and most ppl dont have one once you actually fix I will download it again but for now im uninstalling it 2 stars suits this game of scrap!

Maybe too simple. Could use a few options, such as resolution choices, etc. Lags a bit, but otherwise works well. Labeling for the menus, settings, and adjustment sliders are way too small to decipher. As of yet I haven't figured out if label size is changeable not.

This is one sorry excuse for an app! I after all, did fall for "Night Vision" for a freakin camera on a cell phone for God sakes.. Thankfully I didn't actually buy it. I feel sorry for anyone who paid for this nonsense. My advice would be... If your curious, check it out, but only the free one.

I'm using a Sony Xperia ion.The night vision works okay normally, but if you turn the flash on it works pretty good inside. Outside depends on the moonlight. Not bad for a cell phone app. If you're expecting military grade night vision in complete darkness, you're expectations are too high.

The image is tinted green when I turn on the flash and that does not count as night vision for me. When I turn off the flash, I see white and green dots with a black backgound. When I increase the sensitivity, any shape I can make out when the sensitivity was low disappears. I can see only a grainy white and green blob. I think what the sensitivity thing does is only to increase the contrast which is not helpful if you're going for "night vision".

I was looking for night vision that would work with no lighting..this app required me to use the flash in order to view anything in dark. With no light it is like a fuzzy tv screen..with light have to say worked pretty well!

Idk why other people been saying it needs more light, it really doesn't. Unless your out side. If you turn on the flashlight part on the lower left of the screen your fine. Really clear night vision! (In the house). It would be nice if it turned the flashlight part in your phone to a infrared light!

Not even low light vision. Just reverses the colors captured by your cameras ccd. If it can't see it don't work so it needs a fair amount of light. Just use your eyes. Or they could call it a night vision filter so it looks like you took a night vision picture somewhat.

This camera attempts to capture low-light images better than the regular camera, but if the brightness on the regular camera is raised, it does the same job. However, if I use the inside camera, I can actually use the green effect of the app to reflect off items in pitch black darkness, meaning it can actually take pictures in the dark more effectively than the regular camera when used this way.

Can see where I'm going that's what matters. Don't want to bump into something not so good.

It's a nice app to play with obviously it's not legitimately real it would cost a few hundred dollars for a real pair of nvgs but most people don't understand that, good app nonetheless.

Actually I do like it a lot and yes it is not a full night vision feature what it does it uses every little amount of light to get a much better vew at night time as long as there is a little amount of light the night vew is like 3 times better than with the naked eye even with the camera flash on!!! It even serves my purposes for my ghost haunting hobby "try it you will like it"

This app has a cool approach to night vision but, it's a bust. I ajusted the sensitivity of the saturation and also played around in different rooms. I went outside to test it. No go. Not night vision at all. The point of night vision is to have complete darkness. So what is up with the flashlight? Anyways, this is cool for kid's and a terrible claim on night vision. Hey guys if you want to see the ghost ad midnight 12.30 just go to a playground open this app and adjust the brightness to middle and see warning but you must stand out of ground don't go near but only in haunted place its true guys 2× I got saw a ghost with this app I love it but only 1 mistake please update this app because cannot record....please update it.....:!
