App Ops for Android
For me this has worked very well on a blackview bv2000 with custom ROM, even blackview claims my phone not rootable but I done it, now so happy with full root access, thanks Klausminator for the ROM! To the developer - keep up the good work this one of best things about rooting my phone!
Not disclosed in app info. Therefore cannot rate it higher without using it. Looks like it could be good considering reviews by others. Documentation needs to be accurate. Phone is LG G3 - Excellent - But would prefer to control app permissions directly. Google needs to sort this deficiency out fairly quickly. LG could do the same...!
Worked great on my nexus 6 before I updated to marshmallow, now it doesn't install correctly. While marshmallow does have this built in somewhat, it doesn't let you disable an app from keeping the phone awake which is huge for battery saving (doze doesn't always work that well)
Does exactly what I want. And I did test if apps whose permissions I have tightened actually still had access - and they didn't. Happy with it. EDIT: lowered to 4 stars because the app list is lacking sorting and filtering and that makes it hard to move through all apps one by one.
UPDATE! This also works on the S5 SM-G900f...Not many of these type of apps work on the S5 BUT this does! THANKS Fantastic and doesnt ask for permissions like other app ops progs do works on Blekota 4.4.4 (4th feb 2016) a BIG ty to the Devs!!
FOR ALL OF YOU WHO SAY IT CRASHES RANDOMLY. YOU NEED TO BE ROOTED PERIOD. THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS APP OPS AFTER 4.3 KITKAT WITHOUT ROOT PERIOD. The developer probably just had a error in writing the description. This app worked great for me now I can restrict all of the permissions I want.
The description clearly states that it works without root on Android 4.3 or higher. I'm on Android 5.1.1. There's no excuse for me opening an app and being stuck at an install reboot option screen repeatedly.
Why in description says support 5 but then tells you when you install it it needs root!?!? You describe that for prev versions so assumed it did not need root access for 5. My hopes were raised then BAM! Waste of time
The creator is bad at English, but if you paid attention you'd notice that you need root access to use this app on newer versions of Android. If you have that, it works. If not, either root your device or go away.
~TO ALL NOT EDUCATED IN ANDROID, YOU NEED TO ROOT YOUR PHONE FIRST!~ Using any phone and any rom it works fantastic! (Tested on GS4, Note 3, Note 4 and many different ROMS) (4.4.4 - 6.0.1)
Works great on Sprint Note 3 v4.4.3. Was unhappy when 'big G' removed the feature previously. Now happy these devs have brought this back to life. Keep up the good work, Thanks!
It would be alot easier to use; if recently installed apps show up at the top of list. It's really time-consuming to look for an app among a 100! Nevertheless, app gets the job done! Thanks
The only flaw is finding particular apps in the lists is hard. If only I could search for an app by its name or at least sort them alphabetically that would be perfect.
Installed on rooted Asus with marshmallow. First, granting root privileges was not per usual, easy access. Second, opening app looks for apps forever with no result. Nice idea, execution poor.
I hope the developer replies to this. I love this app, but since my 6.0 update a few weeks ago, the only tab that works is "autostart", all the other tabs keeps loading.... But never show any apps. I hope this will be fixed soon, this is a 5 star app otherwise.
The organization is rather clumsy. I would much rather have alphabetic listing of apps or listing by request, but this app is very useful. I have forbidden every app I use from vibrating my phone, accessing my location, or activating my camera. Thanks!
Same as others... i downloaded it on Galaxy 5.0 but it wont go any further than install root and restart screen. Manual restart doesn't help. Im shattered :(
Just sits on the install/reboot screen on my nexus 7 on 5.1. The install button does nothing even though the app was granted root permission. Reboot button works but after reboot the app brings up the same install screen.
Would love an search feature to find the application you are looking for. The possibility to change permissions in the App Manager. And most important if possible at all, to change the permissions when hitting the install button. To avoid apps getting the info the want, before you get to change it.
Works great for what I use it for. I use it to disable auto start apps, and to prevent misbehaving apps from holding wake locks (namely, Google play services). Sadly, MM6.01 now blocks access to running tasks, so this app no longer functions.
To the reviews that say it doesn't work that only buttons are there are install and reboot hit the Install button and then go to your settings after you rebooted the phone and scroll down to security and once in the security menu scroll down and app apps will be in that menu program works fine Android 4.4.4
Love what it did on my rooted stock phone. Facebook messenger wants infinity+1 permissions to install, but gets none once I've taken them away. Sadly it doesn't seem to run with CM based ROMS as seen by me and others.
I keep revoking the permission for notifications from Starwars G.O.H. but it doesn't stay revoked. Really don't enjoy being woken up by the sound of a lightsaber powering up at 4am.
I have Android 5.1 on my Nexus 5. All I get is the screen that has buttons that say "install" and "reboot"; both buttons do nothing. I really like the idea of this app; it just needs to work.
I'm having problems on my lg g3, I get an endless loading bar but no apps get listed, and if I scroll across, the app crashes. I'm on resurrection remix 5.0.1 . I would love to get this going as I don't want to have to use another app.
Downloaded, installed, and crashes every time I open it. I can't even uninstall this garbage. Lollipop/Oneplus One
Used to work fine on previous CM12 nightlies. Now it loads forever and FCs on swiping tabs. No wonder the Uninstaller is rated so highly.
App lets you change the permission settings on other apps without root. I never knew how many apps had permission to do what they do. Apps had permission to make phone calls, send messages, use my camera, voice recorder. And these apps have NO REASON to have access to my camera or phone. A few apps sent a message to who knows, just after I downloaded this.
So far it doesn't work on Galaxy s5 with 5.0. It gets to the screen install button reboot button . 2. done will become active on reboot. Press the reboot button nothing happens. I restarted the phone went back appops same screen still nothing happens.
Autostarts revert to "enabled", but other permissions remain blocked on AllianceROM (5.0.2). Galaxy S6 will probably never get Xposed, so this perm manager better than nothing.
Just says it needs root authority and won't go any further.
Really good but if you could put in a button to turn all permissions off for the one application because some apps have a ton of permissions and itd be easier to turn them on sometimes instead of off
Installed this app after reading a review on Drippler about it. DRIPPLER said it only needed root on android 4.2 or lower. Also if you read the app description they say needs root on android 4.2. I have note 4 with android 5.1 without root. The app does not load or open. 1 star for lousy product description. Dave Lynch is a moron

It might not be the app's fault as other app ops named applications aren't working either on Lollipop. If this is a problem, please fix it... Thanks.
Downloaded and then pressed 1 to load and nothing happened. Pressed 2 to reboot and nothing happened. Rebooted phone manually and tried both again, nothing happened. Am I doing something wrong?
The app starts and loads the list forever. And if I try flicking to the other tabs it crashes. CM12 5.0.2
No way to find and app by name, one has to search through several lists. Even worse, some applications don't even show up so I can't fix their sketchy permission requirements.
But why only autostart category lists in alphabetical order, makes no sense. Takes much longer to use. Also, why is there no category that shows ALL? Developers need to put a little more thought into the logical usage. Scrolling and scrolling until maybe you find an app is never a good answer.

I have an HTC M9 (64bit) After root it works. Except on the facebook app, which seems to have somehow gotten around not following app ops. Tried it on a random app that needs camera access and it block access as desired but has no effect on facebok app. This app has helped increase battery life and reduce data usage considerable by selecting to turn on/off specific features. The disable autostart of an app does not work on 64-bit, needs an update.
