It used to work great, but for the last few months, it seems like features have been disappearing. It used to pause and keep my place when something interrupted playback, like a phone call, but now it goes all the way back to the last place I paused it. I also can't click the "now playing" in my notifications bar, or it loses my place. Worst, when I try to find where I left off, I just have to start at the beginning of the chapter and listen to as much as 20 minutes of stuff I've already heard. Awful.

Not the best app, I was able to listen to library books on it easily but it frequently lost my place, had long pauses between chapters, and wouldn't save to an external sd card making any kind of road trip with it impossible.

There's just not enough time to mess with this when my library supports two other audiobook apps that do work...

Very unstable, stops frequently. Must be online to log back in and listen. Easy to lose your place and hard to find it again. Good when it works.

This worked better on my S4,now every time I stop listening and return to the program I have to reenter my account name and passkey,very annoying. But the other option my library uses is Axis360 which is even more buggy, so I am stuck

No matter how many times I try I can't seem to get my library account to download an audio book to my acoustik account.its horrible. All I want to do is listen to a book but I can't do that if the boom doesn't want to be downloaded or let alone show up on my list. Only thing on the list are the preloaded ones from when you first download the app. Simply horrible. If I want to listen to my audio book I have to listen through the axis 360 app which is no point of this app.

Downloaded it and nothing happened. Deleting immediately.

Dunno why my library has contracted them for audio books... it forgets the location and restarts chapter every time... tough to search checked out books.. I wish I was not tied to this app for listening books...

This is by far the worst audiobook player that I have ever come across. It's buggy and jumpy, it can't hold its place in the book (ie: pausing and playing), and can't increase playback speed. It's completely unusable. It looks like something an intern did as a summer project. I hope that kid got an A, but as a useful product this falls far short. Oh, and the DRM they've hidden in the mp3's means that you have two options- deal with crappy player or uninstall. Uninstalling...

I renew a book from my library and it won't show on the app. I removed it from my device, cleared data, caché, reinstalled the app, nothing works. This happens very frequently. Now I have a book I cannot listen to checked out for 13 days. Terrible application. Very disappointed.

Not only when I search up for a book I want it takes forever at full WiFi speed, but I looked at help to find some answers and what I got from it was it was saying was that I had to get the book from the website via a PC you should be able to download books from your phone and not on another system

Poorly developed app with nonsensical user interface. Unstable. Wish is was better.

That's pretty much the message I get 95% of the time I try to run this app. When it does run, despite the file being downloaded to my phone, it pauses and hitches and skips. Horrible, horrible app. If it worked properly, it would be great (love the sleep timer, and it does seem to keep my place despite multiple crashes). But it doesn't. Back to checking out audiobooks on CDs for me. Update: I've used it a few times, and I've found it often skips the last 10-15 second of a chapter! Beyond a horrible app.

I'm unable to download anything once I log in and click the Download button. The whole archive/delete thing is really confusing too. Since I can't actually listen to anything via this app I feel like I have to give it 1 star.

I keep having to uninstall and then reinstall in order to download books. App is glitchy. Please fix. I am running this on an LG G3.

I had a book borrowed from the library that expired. I renewed it from the library, but was only given the option to REMOVE from the app. Now can not get the book back into the app at all! it removed the book from my device and can not get it back or downloaded. It says books will be 'archived' but one isn't given the option to find those books. Now I have a book on loan for 13 days and no way to listen to it. Thanks-what a waste!

If Audible is a 5, THIS app is a 2. It cut the chapters short. Every chapter.

Downloads do not resume from previous location if interrupted. Removing from device does not actually delete the files from the device. Data does not save to external SD card. Pause between chapters is long and does not have the ability to be configured. Bluetooth audio device control does not integrate with their player.

I was able to download book borrowed from library the first time I used the app. Then after listening to about 10 hours of the story, it quit working (although I still had time left on my checkout time for the borrowed book). I returned the book to the library and then checked it out again the next day. I have been unable to re-download the book. I do not recommend this app until they have worked out the bugs. I use Android 4.2 on my phone.

App keeps becoming active even after I kill it. I finally Uninstaller it before completing 1 book. There had to be a better alternative.

Would not let me make an account. Said I did not meet strong password requirements. That I should check the FAQ but the FAQ does not say anything about password requirements. Eventually I found what was needed for the password, but it should not take an hour of searching. Once I got the app it was great but that password took away at least one star.

I got this app to listen to a library book but there's no easy way to fast forward or back track, & several times it has jumped back to a previous spot after hitting pause for even a moment and then playing it again. Also, it's lacking other features that might be nice, like knowing how many files there are to a book. I also use the OverDrive media app & that allows much better navigation between books borrowed. I dont care for this app.

I would love to see a 1.5x and 2x speed option on the audiobook player. Thanks Acoustik and Phoenix Public Library

Whenever I type a password in it says it is not strong even when I tried a password with like 10 numbers and punctuation marks.

This app seems to stop for no reason so I hesitate to check emails or text messages or use any other app well I'm listening to something. If I do pause or answer a phone call I am unable to start at the same spot where I left off. This would be less frustrating if I could fast forward or rewind within a track however all I can do is navigate to the beginning of a new track.

I downloaded the app and signed up but it just keeps loading. It doesn't do anything else but show the loading symbol. Very disappointed. This is being used on my Note 3.

I am not having the problems of other reviewers. The app remembers where I stopped, even without the bookmark. The app pauses the book when I get a phone call. My only complaints are that I have to put my phone on vibrate when I listen to a book or else my texts interrupt the audio. I am able to multitask with my phone as well. Playing games or sending a text, etc. Another reviewer said they weren't able to do that. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 - so not sure if that is a phone compatibility thing?

I am not having any trouble saving progress as other people mentioned, but the thing that is driving me crazy is that sometimes I can open other apps while listening but MOST of the time I can't. Wish there was a consistent way to minimize or something so I could play games, use gps, or do other things on my phone while enjoying a book. I guess if it were an all our nothing it would be less frustrating, but since sometimes I can play games and listening and others I can't, I'm starting to hate the app.

I initially rated this app as a 1 star because I was not able to download borrowed audio books from the library. Read the instructions again and created login. It took 2 days to get account created and activated. Once active, I was able to download the files on my android phone as well as iPad. App is not too fancy. Provides basic play, pause, stop and sleep

I love how it starts to play as soon as it starts to download. Very slick app.
