Files Drag & Drop is an application that allows you to transfer data (files/text/url) quickly from your computer to your Android device and vice versa, using wifi networks.
You don't need to use a browser or to know the ip address of your device, you just need to download the software for your computer at this address : http://www.filesdnd.com/download
The software is available for Windows and Mac OS X and will be ported on Linux.
Also, it allows you to transfer data between all your computers, and we made a desktop widget for an even quicker transfer !
With this application, you can put all kinds of data on your devices, like files, folders, text, or links.
When you receveive a file, it can be automatically opened by your device, and the same apply to web link.(To open files automatically on Android, you need the full version, free on Pc/Mac).
You can also transfer files, or open a web page from your device to another device, or your Pc/Mac, using the share functionnality. You won't need to send youself files and links by mail anymore !
This application has been designed to work as a service in order to avoid constant action on your device when you want to transfer data. Activate it, and you're done with your device!
It can be in your pocket or even asleep, you'll still be able to send data to it. (Full version required for Android, free on Pc/Mac)
A trust system has been included, devices that you have authorized are allowed to send you data!

So I have installed the app on my phone and pc,have enabled the option to connect via wifi hotspot and have connected the wifi hotspot.But nothing is getting detected in either my pc or phone.Where am I going wrong?I will rate it a 5 star as soon as it gets resolved.please advice.I really want to use this app.

Worked well first 2 times, then after that, despite re-installing, deleting prefs (on a Mac), the puter version can't find either my HTC One or Nexus 7. :( But was good while it lasted. p.s. Yep, tried "alternate detection" on both devices, no luck :(

So far, the best for Android devices among all I'm testing with my new S4. Without ftp ou web browser, thanks god, just the wifi connection. Could be a bit simpler, like Filedrop, wich I use for transferring files PC-iPad. No folder needed etc. But still, this is the best for Android. Thank you guys!

I was always tired of having to hook up my phone to my computer to copy files. Now, I no longer have to do that. Just drag a file to the program on your computer and it is sent to your phone automatically.

I have Galaxy S4 and galaxy note 2 I was looking for an easy way to transfer my files between them and my PC too. I tried many apps but this one is the most I like. very easy to use and friendly UI.

Most of wifi related apps don't work with wifi hotspot and this is also not different. They need wifi network to work with PC/Laptop.Why most of developers are unaware of hotspot? Why to need entire wifisetup when we can communicate directly our Android with PC/Laptop through hotspot. But still there are some wifi apps working well with hotspot.

I PAID for the full version so I could move multiple file between phone and PC. It DOES NOT WORK! I let the developer know and they said "Download the beta." I shouldn't pay for a functioning app and then download some bug-ridden beta.
