About Field Book
Field Book is a simple app for taking phenotypic notes on field research plots. Collecting data in the field has traditionally been a laborious process requiring writing notes by hand followed by transcription. We have created Field Book to replace paper field books to enable increased collection speed with greater data integrity.
Field Book can collect data in the following formats: numeric, percentage, categorical, date, Boolean, text, photo, counter, rust rating, and audio. Traits are defined by the user and can be exported and transferred between devices. Sample files are provided with the installation.
Development of Field Book was supported by the Collaborative Crop Research Program of The McKnight Foundation (http://ccrp.org/). The source and issue tracker for Field Book can be found here ( https://github.com/trife/Field-Book ). A journal article describing Field Book was published in 2014 in Crop Science ( http://dx.doi.org/10.2135/cropsci2013.08.0579 ).

Once I got the hang of creating the import files that meet the app requirements, this app has become indispensable when taking field notes. There are certainly some options that I would like to see added to future updates, but it is fully functional and very useful as it is.

It is heard that this is quite useful app for researchers in the field of Plant Breeding. But I am unable to download install it on my Lenovo a 7000 android phone as it says it is not compatible with device. Could you please take care of this issue and provide solution?

Really I love this software but since yesterday I face a Problem where it hang and couldn't proceed further.

Very useful and I encourage researchers to download it and use it for data collection. The only one thing missing is the UNDO button. Also it would be very helpful to include a detailed instructions on database sharing, exporting, and importing. Thanks for the great job.
