Family Tracker: Locate Phones

We have 5 other family locator applications and this has proved to be the most accurate within a few hundred feet. Best of all it works great on either platform Android or Apple. The pro features are well worth the money. Customer service is outstanding ! As an added bonus you can use either the real time map on their web site or your app. This app has honestly helped rebuild trust issues in our relationship. This app is exactly what we needed !

Love this app, have used it for a while now and have just upgraded to the pro version. My wife is what a vulnerable adult and does go out on her own with her electric scooter during the day while I am at work. Invaluable on the odd occasion she has phoned me to say she is lost. A quick ping and I can see exactly where she is. Just a question about the pro geofencing, can you set it below 500m? The slider looks as if it can go to a smaller zone but won't. 100m or even 50m zones would be great.

It's not 100% accurate, but it's close. The location of the person is a bit off. But they are also going off Data and not Wifi. Update 4/8/17: worked fine for along time, now it's takes several minutes to get a ping back. Even though the location is the same as before. Really annoyed!

I love this app, it helps me know if my son is where he says he is and it's for his safety and my sanity! I have the upgrade and I love the features it has. I can't figure out why this app has a 3.5 rating, it's so much better than that.

Always consistant! I believe those IOS complainers are more unhappy with Apple than with this app.

This one I did go with the upgrade but even without it, it was a good app. Consistently accurate when all parties are participating. Like all other tracking, you can turn off gps, etc. to stop your location from being seen. The upgrade is worth the money as it is a one time payment, which is cheap, and is good for life.

Useless. My kids have iphones (had 5c and now 6). I had to pay for the app for each of them. Does not work. Cannot ping them, have to send manual text each time try to track them. Still won't track. Waste of money. Everything is set up correctly, still won't update for days.

Works great. Able to keep up with family. Only one problem... My cell won't update location when I use Google Maps for navigation. Won't even update when someone pings me. Not sure if Family Tracker app, Google, or my cell (LG V10) is at fault.

Excellent app with the ability to stealth ping android phones to update their location. The only thing missing is a scale on the location map. That would be a useful feature.

Its now easier than ever to keep tabs of my troublesome children, just need it to keep track of the TV remote now :)

Bought pro subscription for my Android plus pro family subscription to cover my kids iPhones. Cannot reliably track, stealth ping or even track iPhones via message. Last update on both iPhones is 30h old. Useless at present. Also kids do not have pro features even tough their app says pro subscription expires Dec 17.

The app works exactly as described. Very simple and straight forward without much to get in your way. Looking forward to future updates and enhancements.

Wont update for hours at a time. Regardless of the settings it is constantly hours behind real time and when I say hours I mean 4+.....dont waste you money! Update: Still hasnt updated 21 hours later even after the phone has been moving for over an hour. According to the reply an IOS has to move to update....still doesnt update. Refresh doesnt work, pinging a phone doesnt work.....look elsewhere for a tracker.

Have it on my wife's phone and in 11 hours I sent around 20 pings and nothing back. I was even talking to her and texting her during this time. Worthless.

Happens on 3 of my S5. Seems to constantly update location sometimes and quite frequently. UPDATE: Going back to 4.2.4 via Backup the. Battery Drain is gone. Will send you Email. Update 2: I have sent an Email but never got an answer. I am not sure if the last update addresses the issue or not.

The last update disabled my subscription, yet I have already been charged. Says my subscription expired on August 30th. What gives? Using this pro app for over three years, and it's the second time my subscription failed.

When I first installed this app over a year ago, it was nice, but refreshing the location of a tracked phone took around a minute or so. For a few months now, it's been almost instantaneous. Good work!

Paid to upgrade but does not track my other phone and visa versa . Total waste of money . And they ignore emails too.....so I guess I've lost my money . But in not giving up ..... I will get an answer one way or another . Is a shame as the write up was good ......but the reality is crap.

The stealth ping sets this app apart to get an on-demand update. However, the stealth ping doesn't function on iPhones. It's supposed to, but it doesn't. Been using it for years. Starting to shop for something else that works on both Apple and Android.

Still can't stealth ping my daughter's iPhone 6S+, I have a Nexus5X, both phones are stock and both are fully updated, otherwise it's great !

We are using this app on an S5 and S7 Galaxy along with Lenovo ideatab and razzr maxx HD. Once you send the track request to/from each device and all have been accepted, this app works great. I've been using the app for quite a long time and the only time I had any problems was when one of the phones was in a car buried under stuff so it had a restricted GPS signal. I really can't find any fault with the program other than it is a bit hard to setup all the first time track requests/acceptance between several devices just because it gets a bit confusing if you don't make a check list to assure each phone has sent a request to each of the other devices. It has come in very handy for our family to check in on each other, especially when you want to find out how long till someone will be home. Saves a text or call which shouldn't be answered while the other party is driving anyway. Highly recommend people give it a try and if they have problems, contact the developer.

I installed this on an iPhone 5 & a galaxy note 4. It seems to work great. We do get that annoying Pro features expired message but we just ignore it. Stealth pings and view on map work great. Very happy with the app. It took a little time to set up and was just a bit confusing but we figured it out ourselves without a problem .

Will inexplicably show my family in old locations that I know they've been to previously but are no longer there. Then it might start to show accurate location. So I simply can't trust it. Bought 5 times for my families phones. Really disappointed. They all have iPhone. I have Droid Turbo with Android.

Sometimes doesn't show location for 3 days even though you force ping yet location on Google+ works

One thing that would be nice is to develop some sort of feature that allows you to enable the other person's GPS from your phone. This would be great for parents who have children who disable the GPS to hide their whereabouts. Other than that we are very satisfied with this app, would give it 5 stars

Pro: You know where your kid is IF they want you to know. Cons: 1. If your child's phone is an iPhone and you have an Android (or vice versa) you have to buy the app FOR EACH PHONE. 2. You have to PING your child's phone AND THEY HAVE TO ACCEPT THE PING in order to know where they are. If they don't want you to know where they are or if they can't respond, you have no clue where they are - which absolutely defeats the purpose of having the app on their phone. Sure doesn't help if you're checking to make sure they are where they say they are OR if someone has grabbed them. So, yeah, pretty much useless and I'm out almost $10 (for the Android app and the iPhone app).

$6 and this thing doesn't work well at all! Sometimes it updates but most of the time I have locations that are 10+ hours old. "Pinging" the person does not update anything ever. Waste of money.

This app is internet based. The app becomes useless when the tracked phone leaves our house that has steady wifi. Purchased but disappointed.

You can't ping an iPhone and the pro service will automatically bill you on expiration, but for whatever reason won't automatically renew in the application. I went over 2 weeks with out my pro service working - no history and only found out when I needed to verify the whereabouts of my kids.

The app itself is excellent but since last update 4.2.3 the notification sound plays even when the phone is muted. Have tried unchecking 'override phone sound', and uninstall and re-install app but sound still there. I hope its fixed in subsequent update. Update 4.2.4 - no fix! Come on guys it was working fine before.
