I wanted a trustworthy browser with features I need yet using as few resources as possible. I hope you enjoy it.
TIPS
• Cannot see the browser menus? See below.
• Close current tab by tapping its tab bar button.
• The "desktop" button allows you to request and view full, rather than mobile, versions of web sites.
• Swipe right --> to show bookmarks/history. Long press bookmarks/history to edit.
• One finger zoom: Double-tap and hold, then swipe to zoom.
• Undo close tab: Long press new tab "+" button.
• Choose a search engine for URL bar search: Long press "go" arrow.
• Adobe Flash support for most pre-Android 4.4 devices: Download Flash player from the Adobe web site & install http://tinyurl.com/4aflash
• Bottom menu "exit" button is the only way to gracefully quit, and do things like clear history on exit.
• Read through browser options and bookmarked help page for more tips.
CANNOT SEE THE BROWSER MENUS?
If your device has no menu button, you may be able to long press the device app switch button or back button. SHOW MENU GESTURES: Swipe up from bottom corner, OR swipe down from top edge of browser window. Paid Pro of version of Naked Browser provides many more options.

Not concerned with privacy? Spying wastes resources (battery, bandwidth, CPU) and slows your device.

Naked Browser does not use data to spy, monitor, or even show ads. All data transfer is solely as a result of your requests & retrievals. Because Naked Browser is designed for efficiency, you may use more data simply because you can browse sites faster.
SECURITY
Naked Browser uses the Android WebView that's on your device to display web pages. All data requests & retrievals, all cookies, all passwords, etc. are handled by the WebView and Naked Browser does not interfere with the default behavior. However, versions of Android before 5.0 do not get System WebView updates via the Play Store, and there are known problems with older WebView: http://google.com/search?q=android+same+origin+policy%2C+freak+attack%2C+logjam%2C+address+spoofing
Android 7+ uses Chrome as WebView, if installed.

• File read/write: ONLY so you can save & upload files. Absolutely no other reason.
• View network state: ONLY to handle changes in network connectivity.
• Keep device from sleeping: ONLY to prevent downloads from being cut off.

Wow! Very fast, tiny memory usage & supports most web sites perfectly. Why can't anyone else make a browser like this?! The user interface is extra simple which takes a little while to understand, but once i got used to it i love it. Please resist the temptation to "improve" this browser - there is enough bloatware already.

I decided to try out this app after reading what the developer states are his motives and principles (and his fair reactions to USEFUL critical feedback)... I sense promise and hold great hopes for future improvements of this software... my current Qs/concerns: + known battery/overheating problem?!? + improved ad-blocking?!? + more/better in-app user help+guidance + avoidance+control of getting monitored/click-jacked (into search-engines, data-entry completion helpers, other apps... you-know-the-promiscous-bastards-breed-and-spread)

Very good browser, reliable, lightweight, lightning fast. The only minus is the app name. If I put shortcut on home screen will cause lot of misunderstanding :)

For less than 1 MB, wow. Tried nearly all browsers from chrome Firefox and opera and everything in the middle. This one I will keep. Best and fast browser. Keep up the good work.

This is back to the basic. It's one of those where it's simple yet effective. First, it's saving a lot of memory, (since I have uninstalled opera ). Nice one. The may wanna work on the app icon tho.

Really lacks proper intent filters for most sites. For example, opening YouTube links automatically redirects to YouTube app and opening GP links redirects to Play Store app, but opening Reddit links doesn't allow you to choose Reddit app as a default one for opening Reddit links. Also, no way to bookmark a link from another app via share menu. Otherwise, a really good browser. I sincerely hope you will consider addressing the above issues in future updates.

Looking good. Thank you! Just installed and so far is very promising. Tried some slow sites and sites that keep refreshing the screen as it loads. This is the quickest I have tried thus far. Haven't seen any increase in ads as some have mentioned. Better than the one that keeps track of your browsing even though history is deleted daily and dumps ads they think you might be interested in. It is a different presentation but easy enough to follow. Not impressed with Feverish Dev responses on line.

Absolutely lightning fast, by a trustworthy dev committed to privacy. Accessing the lower toolbar is a bit frustrating, as is the default tab close action, but that's what the pro app is for. If there was an inverted/night mode this would be PERFECT! That's the only reason I'd even explore other browsers. Bring night mode and I'll be a lifetime user.
