Great Taste of the Midwest

Day of event and still crashes. this app sucks still! #crashtrash! Latest update still no help. App crashed in less than 3 minutes. All I was doing is reading about the beers. I have not even tried to choose a beer yet. App keeps stopping / crashing within 5 minutes! How am I supposed to reliably use this app tomorrow?!

This app is MIA when you really need it. I took the time to catalog the beers I wanted, and during the event the app goes blank with no information. Super fail!

This is pretty piss poor honestly. It's so close to being right but the holes are glaring and overwhelming. I want to rate at the fest, review later, and out ratings into untapped. There is no working mechanism I to view your rated beers. . It has a "favorite beers" filter which should do the trick, but it doesn't do anything at all. It also crashes a lot. Every 2-3 uses it dies. And instills terror by saying "Great Taste of the Midwest has stopped." Hitting Android's back button often randomly exits the app rather than going to the root screen. Textbook example of Android app designed by iOS users. An amazing extra would be the ability to export data. The lists and search and map element are awesome, and other filters work fine, but overall, the basics need a lot of work.

Spent two hours filling out my to-do list, now every page in the app is blank. Great way to waste some time...

You set the bar for fest apps. Some minor nits like the check box being too close to scroll bar, but love the to do list integrated to map.

One thing I wish the app would allow us to do, is have options to sort our to-do list. Espically to be able to sort by special release times.

The one problem it still has is that the little checkboxes next to each beer are all the way on the right, which is the same place the slide bar to scroll through the list is located. It's difficult to hit the checkbox without causing the list to scroll down instead. So if you'd just put the check box on the left side instead, problem solved. Otherwise it's a great app and has everything you need. I have an Android so no problems here.

I have an LG Leon running android 5.1.1 and the app opens with a white screen then closes after the update

Use it every year at least initially. Does what it supposed to do. Wish they included a map of the Pre GTMW for the nights before.

I downloaded to my android. Easy to navigate and find beers at booths. Iphone version, which my husband downloaded, stinks. Not user friendly and disappointing. So, ultimately, if you have an android, it's great. If you have an iphone, find a friend with the app on their android at the fest.

The best way to navigate all the beers, breweries, and booth locations. Nice event map, and a means keep track of and take notes on the beers you taste.

Possibly overlooked in testing: There is no search on the beer tab, but if you open search from any other tab and then switch to the beer tab with search still open, then search works perfectly (combined with any enabled filters). Hope others find this hidden feature.

This app got me excited, then when I tried it I found it left me wanting more. Much like Wisconsin Brewing Company's beers.

Solid app but needs more work. More consistent UI across tabs and sorting options. Also these ratings are neat but why not hook into the Untappd API instead?

Especially by tap time!

Easy to find, filter, search, and rate beers! Map feature is great to locate the right booth.

This is the best app ever. Selectors for everything. Going to make the best beer festival ever even more better!

Works like a champ. I love it when you can look at the map and know what tent your to-do beers are located. The filter is awesome as well.

This only took a year to update...

Very nice app. Love all the ways you can sort the beers. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to add reminders for the special taping times.

Maybe the server crashed? It worked great at the pre parties, but crashed at open every time since saturday morning. It's a shame, as I was really looking forward to using this at the great taste.

Will this app be updated for 2013? Looks awesome!

Add a few more stars to my previous rating. It turns out that the beer listings ARE in fact fully searchable by style, as well as by tap times and other criteria. A great app turns out to be even better! (And this reviewer turns out to be slow on the uptake.)
