Feedspot News Reader. RSS for Android
I have never seen as much information other than feedspot. I can get any type of news, articles, research materials no matter belongs to any part of the world. Specially theirs APP is very Handy. Keep up gòod work guys..
Some of the negative reviews are very old. I had a free subscription The paid version has a lot of analytics and other stuff that is helping me greatly. It is worth the investment. I had some difficulty initially and they offered a whole free year to me as a mitigation for my challenge. That is pretty awessome. Not many businesses would do that. The site works smoothly.
They will impersonate you and sent mails to all your contacts asking to try out feedspot without your consent! Don't use service of this scammers!
I find feedspot extremely useful and very quick compared to the rest of other sites. The fact that information pops up for one's selection makes it so easy to go straight to news of your interest. It is financially viable as well as news papers are really not necessary when you have access to it. I love it and rate it really high in terms of ease of access to valuable news and a variety of useful information.
Pros: clean, elegant UI, self-explainatory icons, fast story loading speed Cons: Sluggish response, it takes half second to load the menu, on my DUAL-core snapdragon phone UI text is too small, even on my 4.5 inch phone, No swipe-in menu, which is the very basic of Holo design language No dark theme Mark all as read button are EVERYWHERE! Do I even need that kind of convience?
It will SPAM your contacts. It will send an email to all your contacts, saying that YOU are inviting them to try Feedspot. Great way to get news from people on your contact list that you haven't contacted in a long time. One star = Hated it.
No complaints, super accurate and informative. Very good and not blinged up. It has proven to be more timely than Google. But I was hacked!
Text is too small and no landscape. Can't make the text large enough to read so it's just frustrating if you're interested in something. Now the links to imgur won't work.
I don't like this apps UI. It's much worse than feedly. However the website version is better so if using on desktop would be better.
I like the sleekness and no-fuss of feedspot, being able to read my feeds on any device without having to install an app. Being a Gold subscriber, I enjoy being able to save interesting articles directly into Evernote. This feature works well. I had some login issues, but always got very efficient and fast help from the support team. Thanks for that.
Nice app. Even thought not very feature-rich, it does the job pretty well. And it's got some of the sweet features of its own that makes it worthy.
The web version is okay but the mobile app seems stuck to its internal browser, no apparent option to visit websites in the phone browser, leaving the article too small and the app basically unusable.
It's nice to be able to track updates from various design sites and articles of interest all in one place. It has been useful for my job - I can keep track of interesting projects around the globe and keep a pulse on what's happening in my industry. Smooth interface and easy to use.
This web app saves a lot of time when you need to search for news topics. It even includes search functionality to search across multiple feeds. And you could add your own additional RSS sources. (even plain websites if you use a RSS feed generator)
Awesome app, just wish there was a widget and It would be 5 stars, even as a gold member there is no access to a Feedspot widget for android ? widget us devs please :) or I will not remain a gold member
EDIT 12/8/15: These A-holes are STILL spamming me with fake invitations, allegedly from my former coworker. In fact, he has deleted this app, and left a 1-star review for exactly this reason. I have now reported Feedspot to the FCC for violations of the US CAN-SPAM act. Small wonder it has such a low rating. 7/25/15: I found out about this app via an email, ostensibly sent by an ex coworker with whom I have not spoken in several years. In fact, it was sent by Feedspot, who made it appear to be an endorsement from him. Who the HELL would ever think it would be a good marketing strategy to access users' contacts to spam them with advertisements for their app/service, making it look like it was an endorsement from the user? It's unbelievable that someone would come up with this bizarre idea, but it's downright STAGGERING that the individual would then get buy-in from others in their company. I just have to question the judgement of people who would do this. I mean ... seriously ... is this company run by children? No reputable company would ever do this. I installed the app simply to leave this review. I will now delete it, without ever having run it.
I recommend strongly against using this software as it'll ask for access to your Facebook and G+ account then spam all your contacts with you name and photo saying (You Name here wants you to try out Feedspot). I like the app, it works well, yet I can not support or recommend this service because of this, the other issue is you can not delete your account only deactivate it, which seems like a shady business practice to me. *I emailed them directly to see if this was my user error, a quick google search showed this is a highly discussed problem. (Google for yourself).

wow!!!! I cant believe an app that uses so little data could function so well! And it is even better than feedly with the content that we can add to our feed and it is set up much better too. Also way faster than feedly. I can find some of everything in this app, even the things that are not trending can be found here. i love that because im different and im not into everything that is trending. Great job! this works faster and better than my web browser when visiting a site.
It sends an email to EVERY SINGLE person in your contacts. This is absurd.
I want to get rid of it keeps sending invites to my friends and I can't seem to delete my "profile"
Just a shell for the feedspot website except lacking basic web browser functionality like tabs and saving images. A year and a half old and has never been updated. Use feedly instead.
The developer has indicated they will be focusing on mobile this year. I'm actually quite impressed with the built in readability mode, Mark above as read option, quick and reliable loading, images on each listing . The only real suggestions are to not break it with future updates. I have tried nearly all RSS readers and thus is as close to perfect as I've found.
I installed this because I used to love Google reader. Without me knowing the app sent emails to all my contacts inviting them to download - I thought I was sending the invite to one person (the person whose email address I typed in) but it sent it to all and sundry without asking me first. Not impressed.
I use this app all day long to instantly keep up on Breaking- World and Local News...... Thanks
It could use a lot more features, like dark theme and preview pics, otherwise its just a black and white text presenter! And i don't understand, is this really a google funded product or what? Because it looks like a knock-off. i have emails stating it's google! unless it's deception or I'm mistaken. .
Software envia email para os contatos sem a permissão e conhecimento do usuário. Não recomendo o uso.
Why force portrait mode? I understand for phones, but on a tablet, it makes everything awkward, as most 'skins' are made for landscape use when placed on a table for example.
it's very good Nazeto Google Reader! an chi ge "it's good replacement for Google reader"
Awesome app, just wish there was a widget and It would be 5 stars, even as a gold member there is no access to a Feedspot widget for android ? widget us devs please :) or I will not remain a gold member
Really poor effort, I like the feedspot web app but this port is a backwards step.
I like it. Provides me with the information I want based on the topics I selected & sends me an email notifying me of the latest news. Good start; however, once I select a piece of news I wanna read from the email, it sends me to this page where it prompts me to pay for a year subscription or 10 year subscription. I figured how to bypass this page but it was annoying every time I selected an article to read from the email---the subscription page appeared every time. ANNOYING! This info. is free on the net!
Seriously could not rave about this enough.

This app sent marketing emails to all my contacts without permission. Dah!
Started off well but now can't save to pocket, emailing within articles gives a dead link and some news feed articles don't even recognise the back key to go back to the news feed list
I like it. It works even old phone(HTC ARIA). And please add offline use.
This app is associated with viruses, spam, and other malware. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
This is so much like the Google Reader I have been missing since it left. I shorted a star because I'd like to see a zoom feature when it takes you to the website. Good work! Keep it up!

FEEDSPOT seems to be a good replacement for Google Reader. My first impression of the website UI is positive and possible better than Feedly (free version). This FEEDSPOT app is not worth downloading. I used it for 5 minutes and it seemed slow and limited when compared to Feedly. I think I'll use FEEDSPOT on the website and Feedly on my Android.
