About 110th Annual Vermilion Fair
The Vermilion Agricultural Society, established in 1906, is proud to present its annual fair. The fair, organized and run by volunteers, is our community’s signature event, celebrating the town’s pioneer history and attracting more than 26,000 visitors to the fairgrounds in late July.
Over the three days of the fair, fair goers enjoy a parade, trade show, livestock shows and judging, pony chuck wagon and chariot races, antique and modified tractor pulls, live entertainment, midway with amusement park rides, bench show showcasing arts and crafts as well as horticultural/agricultural displays, and fireworks. Every year, exhibitors showcase their animals, skills, and many talents in a friendly, competitive spirit.
In addition to putting on the fair, the Vermilion Agricultural Society supports a number of community endeavors working with the town to enhance the quality of life for residents of Vermilion and district, hosts various clubs and organizations at the fairgrounds throughout the year for such events as 4-H achievement days and riding clinics, and promotes an understanding and appreciation of agriculture in rural Alberta.
