I frequently drive between SoCal, Vegas and Phoenix and have used the CA Toll Roads app to figure out what the toll fees will be around the times I'm planning to hit the freeways. It also has another benefit - although the 91 doesn't use 'congestion pricing', so to speak, the fees to increase during peak periods of toll usage and it is a good reminder to me that alternative routes into SoCal may be needed from the I-15 or I-10 if the higher fees indicate a busy period. It's usually pretty easy to guess these times, but I've been surprised to see traffic during periods when I didn't expect to hit traffic, so the app provides a good 'tip off' reminder to find an alternative route or change my plans.
