Get more out of your healthy lifestyle. Transform your Fitbit data into a character that can fight your friends, battle bosses, and go on quests using the steps, distance, and sleep tracked by your Fitbit! If you’re tired of seeing just numbers and graphs at the end of the day, or if looking at the Fitbit dashboard isn’t enough to motivate you to walk those extra 1000 steps, play FitRPG, a game that rewards you for your healthy habits.

FitRPG turns your fitness data into your character’s strength, HP, endurance, dexterity, and experience. Go on fitness quests or engage in battles to level up. Sleep to revitalize your HP. Log workouts to increase your strength and dexterity. Increase your steps to improve your experience and endurance. Take fitness to another level, literally.

★ Competitive? Battle your Fitbit friends to steal their gold and experience. Most fit player wins. See how you rank against other players in the leaderboard.
★ Want motivation? Go on timed solo quests, which range from walking 5,000 steps to running a marathon. Win gold and experience if you succeed. Lose gold if you fail.
★ Love gaming? Try to fly up through the rankings by beating the bosses and continuing to level up.
★ Use your gold to buy weapons, potions, armor, and other accessories. Use potions to restore HP, and equip weapons to improve your chances at winning battles against your friends.
★ Just sign in with your Fitbit account, and immediately start playing!
★ No ads or annoying pop-ups.
★ Integration with Jawbone and other fitness trackers, coming soon!
★ More quests (and group quests with friends!) to come.

Added a star from my previous review because I was actually able to login today. There is a bug that makes you have to re-enter your character name and class and another that causes issues with the quests not showing up sometimes. If you switch to your home screen and try to switch back you just get a loading icon that never goes away.

Could use some tweaks such as returning to the previous view when using the back button rather than starting back at the top of the page or on a different page. However, I really love that this syncs with my Fitbit. I'm pretty stoked about using this, and that's really the point. It's awesome. So far, so good! EDIT 8/19/14: Had a couple of quests that were stuck and after trying to reinstall the app, can no longer log back in. Sad!! Loved it while it was working. Looking forward to fixes!

This has the potential to be a lot of fun, but definitely needs some work. There is no option to update profile pictures. Someone else was able to create the same profile name as me and I think their picture is showing up on my profile. The pull-down refresh option takes a very long time to refresh, if at all. The app sometimes fails my quests when I've completed them. There's work to be done on this one, but if the kinks can be worked out, this can be great.

While the app worked initially, it now does not load. There are a lot of bugs that do not seem to have been addressed, and it is not showing as having been updated since early/mid 2014. This has some cool potential, but without any updates to fix issues with loading, HP regeneration, purchases, etc. It isn't something I would continue using - which is a bummer as I would totally be in to this otherwise. The kickstarter noted was run in 2014 and not funded. It appears the app has languished since then.

Samsung Note Edge V1: Won't forward on screen after selecting my character type. Stays stuck on loading for up to 15 minutes; before me giving up and closing. Love the overall concept, great way to merge my passion to be a nerd, while being active to do so. Great motivator. That's why I'm giving two stars rather than one. Please fix!

I tried it a few days with fitbit.... heres what this really needs. 1st complaint is that the load times take forever. Compatability with android wear. Graphics even 8 bit. Anything. Dont make it have some silly generic fantasy plotline and chatecters, have some fun with the idea of meshing fitness and fantasy this game has so much potential for getting gamers outdoors more.

V70%
by V####:

Most importantly, it has gotten me motivated again about fitness. My only complaint is that I can't figure out how to force it to check the fit it website for my latest results. A button to say sync data would be very useful. It may be that I'm missing some obvious

U70%
by U####:

I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what the hell this app is doing...as it often takes a full minute or two to load data...or it hangs completely trying. It even does this when you hit 'back' from some other view in the app to look at data you just loaded and looked at a few seconds ago. Makes me wonder if its repulling the same data from Fitbit when it should be using memory to store and show me that.

by N####:

I really like the concept and easiness of this app. But it stopped working and would not update with my fitbit stats. I emailed support to let them know, but never got a response back and don't know if they are working on a fix. I'd love to keep using this app, but since it hasn't worked in over a month, I'm deleting it. I really hope they fix their bugs cause it's a great idea.

by O####:

Half of the time i an starting the app it doesn't ever actually load but i absolutely live the idea and mechanics behind it. There should be a way to gain new friends in the app. Especially if you don't know anyone that wants to download it. Some graphic additions would be awesome too

U70%
by U####:

The app doesn't do anything. Everytime I try to sign in with Fitbit it takes me to this code page where it says error. Almost like a powerpoint. You have the intro slide and then you have a button on that slide that says start presentation but when you press it all it does is go to a blank slide. And it won't even let me use my back button from the main screen. I have to go home, open my recently opened apps menu and then close it for me to exit the app. I thought the idea was cool but that is all it still is...an idea.

Great game, fantastic concept, needs work. The game freezes and there is a lack of institutions. I love it and when it's working I enjoy playing it, it really helps me hit my goals and go beyond so I can get the last quest. I think with so updating and polishing work it would be one of my favorite apps. If you have the patience for it and are really into gaming and if you have some friends to do it with especially it's a really great way to help you lose weight and have fun.

One month later and STILL no responses to tech support emails. I've completely lost interest in this app because I've had two quests hanging for over a month, and as a runner they're the ones I'm most likely to do. I think that the developers really want us to support them with our money to further develop the app, then they shouldn't be completely ignoring tech support requests.

U70%
by U####:

I love equipping rpg characters and battling - this app is very cute. It's a lot like GURPS in a way, as it reminds me of a paper-based game. The help menu is the key to knowing what's what. I would love an intro or story line to follow, but I know the game is in a start up phase. I love that you can choose"right now" quests and "today" quests, but I think it would be more fun if the quests progressed a storyline. My wants? More battles! And... I've kind of run out of things to buy with money...

Good app, will definitely push you to do more if you play with friends and if you are competitive. But there are way too many bugs on the app for it to be usable. Quest don't start, don't record, it's slow.. Using an HTC One, my gf too, both of us have the same issues. Keep me updated when you'll have fixed these !

R70%
by R####:

Apparently there is no way to regenerate HP if you don't capture sleep data? (I use fit bit on my phone, and don't get that functionality). Could be a game killer. Also, Would like to see cycling integrated somehow.

I70%
by I####:

The app has a lot of potential and could be fun! I am not sure if you can play with strangers, but I do not have any friends who even knew of this app let alone played. The instructions as far as weapons/inventory weren't very clear either.

U70%
by U####:

I was beyond excited to try this app. I got all the way to the dashboard (after naming my character and choosing a class), but then got a never-ending "loading" pop-up. This was not fixed by closing the app and restarting. It either keeps the "loading" screen, or sends you back to the "name your character" screen. Really, truly unfortunate.

Z70%
by Z####:

I like the idea of this app as gives more reasons to get out and be active. However the platform needs some work as seems to have quite a few bugs. I am using Android so not sure how iOS version differs. Keep up the good work and it should be fine.

U70%
by U####:

The concept is cool, but it's definitely too buggy to actually enjoy it. I can't add friends through the search, I can't go back to my active quests, it doesn't update my information accurately from Fitbit and most of the quests are not working right. There needs to be major improvements in the battle system and the quest system.

U70%
by U####:

Being able to visualize my progress with fitbit is great. It would be great to have a walkthrough of each element and how to improve it. For example, how does hp refill? If friends could beat bosses together it would promote healthy activities for friends to do together. Walks, workouts, flights of stairs could be used to combat different opponents. You could team up with your friends to take on big bosses that require several people's steps, or active minutes or calories burned.

It's an awesome concept and showed great promise. First tested late '15 with internal server issues. Tested again in July '16 and worked fine for 15 minutes, then it started freezing, sometimes stuck at Loading after manual FC, and now can't log in. Maybe the "You pay us through Kickstarter, then maybe we'll work on it" business model isn't the right choice...

N70%
by N####:

So far it is cool. Needs the ability to refresh quests (for less xp/gold), or add more of them. Same with battling... Or add in being ambushed (you have to be active within a certain amount of time or be penalized).

W70%
by W####:

Normally just constantly loading but never loads anything. Sometimes you get through and can start a quest but normally when you come back to complete it it just constantly loads again. Sounds like fun if it worked though! I'm giving up and uninstalling...

U70%
by U####:

Edit: Doesn't even open since the last update. Fail. Good idea that needs a lot of work. More RPG features would be great. Can't figure out how to get HP without buying potions. Quest won't complete. Can't repeat quests. Hope the Kickstarter gets things moving.

P70%
by P####:

This really has potential! Some suggestions: Make class specific armor. If everyone has the same armor, having classes seems pointless (I've only tried dream weaver, so if there's already separate armor, I apologize). Some quests should definitely be daily quests. If you lower the reward, it shouldn't be a problem, and it will be more motivating.

J70%
by J####:

Really good for getting you motivated to push yourself a little bit further and the xp regen from sleeping is a brilliant idea however it needs more quests and different types of quests also it would be good to be able to battle random players not just friends. The main problem I have is that some of quests I started show 0 time remaining from the start and nothing has been registered to the quest progress could do with a quest cancel button to restart quests if they break or you cant continue with it.

I tried contacting them to get feedback on fixing issues. No replies. I was really excited for a game like this! I love RPGs, but it doesn't seem to work on my Turbo 2 with 6.0. It wont continue past the choosing class page..

This is a great idea, but it obviously needs an update. After first opening it asks to donate to a kickstarter, elixir I attempted to do, but it ended unsuccessfully in 2014. I can only assume the developers have abandoned the app after the kickstarter campaign was unsuccessful. It's a shame, really, because this app was the main reason I was excited about getting a fitbit.

P70%
by P####:

Doesn't even try to log into Fitbit. Shows some weird error message every time. Had to uninstall since it's pointless to have something that takes up memory and doesn't work at all. Sucks, I was really looking forward to using this!

R70%
by R####:

Unfortunatly, i cant even log in through fit bit, so i will have to write a new review when it is back up. Keep at it!

R70%
by R####:

I was able to connect to my fitbit, however it won't let me do anything or keep any character I've created. I want to try it, but it doesn't work.

R70%
by R####:

Man this has so much potential but realizes so little of that potential. Could be more like a board game...or offer more quests and matches are damage per step + level and attributes. Needs a story line...wouldn't take but an hour to write simple story boards to be completed each week.

R70%
by R####:

Obviously still a work in progress. A couple ideas would be the ability to change your "class" and maybe a few more options with battling other than 3 bosses or friends. The other idea is a separate regen option, maybe a health point or ten every hundred steps or something. I don't know if the app let's you add a sleep log or not because my fitbit zip is still in transit, but some people might be unable to log their sleep daily and don't have the tracker that does it automatically.

R70%
by R####:

Only an hour into using it and the app froze. Then I couldn't log back in. Even after installing and uninstalling I still couldn't log back in. Not worth the stress.

R70%
by R####:

As others have said, I can't even try this because it is stuck on the opening "contacting fitbit" screen.

R70%
by R####:

After setting up a character it sends me to the actual app but it leaves me stuck with a loading screen. I was really looking forward to using this app but now Im just disapointed. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!

R70%
by R####:

I've been trying to open the app for days now and every time I do, there is just a bright white page that pops up and never does anything.

U70%
by U####:

Stalls out on the first screen while trying to connect to Fitbit. Hasn't been updated since 2014, possibly abandoned.

S70%
by S####:

As to be expected in an early release, the game has a few glitches and lacks much polish. However, there's definite upside and potential here. Try to keep a good single-player and social gaming balance. Repeatable quests will be a must.
