About Parknav - Find Street Parking
PARKNAV saves drivers time when looking for street parking by providing the real-time street parking availability for open free, metered or permit parking in the US and Germany.
HOW IT WORKS:
Step 1) Select the type of street parking you want to find (free, metered or permit).
Step 2) Parknav shows you the real-time open street parking within your immediate area (via a color street grid).
COLOR KEY:
- Green: High chance of finding street parking
- Orange: Fair chance of finding street parking
- Red: Low chance of finding street parking
Step 3) Use the “Best parking route” feature to display the optimal driving route which maximizes your chances of finding an open street parking space
Step 4) Save your car’s parking location via “Save car location”
Step 5) Follow the walking path back to your parked car via “Walk to car”

Not user friendly. Tired of wrestling with this to understand how it works. I put in a destination within the city of the Chicago and was told I wasn't within service area. Not sure how to properly use this app because it gives zero direction. It only highlights parking downtown.

Parknav is now my go-to parking tool -- it's very versatile in that it helps me whether I want covered, paid parking or on-the-street parking (depends on my time crunch and whether I can expense it!). And the partners they've lined up do a great job. And the Car Find feature is extremely helpful. And -- well you get the point.

^Don't have hours and phone for the garage. ^can't plan trip for next day. ^Can't setup distance of more than 4 bocks. I get use to walk 10~15 blocks to find a free street parking spot in NYcity. ^ I find this apparently very user "unfriendly" when it only allows 10 free use each month. Can't even be able to explore the full potential of this app before being charged for it. Decided to uninstall this now.
