What a life saver. My mum has lost sense of day of week or time of day and basic things like when I'm working or what day her support group is. She gets very anxious about forgetting and this heightens her anxiety. This great app not only shows date, day and time but also links to google calendar and displays events. Therefore I can remotely control what she sees on her tablet screen...like 'Daughter at work today' or 'Son on holiday' and I can set up calendar appointments so they appear for the current day and the next. All remotely from my phone. Can't believe this app is free...thanks to generosity of the designer - who has been so responsive and helpful.

Thanks Fashmel, we are using this great app on an old Nexus 7 for my father-in-law who suffers vascular dementia. Finding simple solutions to complex problems for dementia patients is harder than it needs a to be. This app helps keeps dad less confused and more in control of his day to day life while voiding embarrassing situations like turning up to appointments several days early. Easy to understand from his point of view and easy to manage from our point of view with an editable shared calendar means the family can remotely update appointments as needed. There are two additions that would be nice: One is to select which calendars are shown - rather than all. The second is a settings option that would enable the appointment details displayed or read from the long press that reads the next appointment.

Excellent app. The display is clear and easy to read. Just what I was looking for. I had been searching for a clock and they were priced about £35 but they were too large to use. This is so much better. Thank you, Fashmel.

Crashed immediately when I opened it. Opened it again and it wanted permission to my calendar, but it didn't specify which one it would pull from. It crashed two more times and then wanted access to my files and pictures , which I wasn't thrilled about. After a couple more crashes and actually denying access to my files, I was able to get into the settings. The way you get into settings is not very intuitive, but the number and types of settings are amazing! Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one to simply flip the color so it's white on black? I was able to re-choose which calendar from the settings and I couldn't find any other clock app that could do this (nice!) . I'm using s7 7.0. I do have Nova Launcher on an auto screen rotate installed so maybe one of those is causing some crashes ??

Just what I needed to prevent my Dad getting up in the middle of the night confused at what time it was. Love the simple display (once I figured how to change some of the settings to a simple white text on black background) which my Dad is able to easily read when the tablet is placed at the end of the bed. Similar to a dedicated clock which my brother has bought but I have the benefit of also having an Android tablet to use.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could! My mother was having terrible trouble forgetting what day it was, or even if it was morning or night (esp. in winter) and screwing up her meds and forgetting appointments, etc. She used a paper calendar but made lots of mistakes, and finally ended up taking a weeks worth of meds in a day or two :-( This app has made a tremendous difference to her ability to stay on track, and she enjoys using it. My family loads up her Google calendar with reminders, and they clearly display on the screen. She now often goes up to it, smiling, and says "let's see if there's anything I need to do right now.". The default message, when there's no event, puts her mind at ease that she's not forgetting something. Awesome! Mark, the developer, has been great in looking at bug fixes and implementing recommendations, he's an excellent guy to work with. I'd happily pay big bucks for this app.

I've have been looking and looking for an app like this to help mom. Fashmel is an angel from heaven for making this app -- this may allow her to finally understand what is happening each day and feel more in control. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I like the clear (black text against white background), but the App just loaded onto my mum's phone with no instructions to be seen. Where do I find out how to set it up?

Is is genuinely really great. If there were a little more customization possible with the layout it would be perfect. A time/day/time of day without the date bit! I know I can set the size to 0 but its still off centre. Great work! A+

Ideal app that makes it so easy to help prompt dementia sufferers for daily events. Remotely editable by using a Google calendar.

This is a great app, my elderly aunt is starting to get a little forgetful, she forgets what day it is, and often forgets birthdays which frustrates her, she loves this clock/diary, and how the messages show what is happening on specific days, I can remotely log in to her gmail diary and update it with events to show on the screen, it is so convenient, highly recommended.

Happy I have installed this app, it has made it possibly to have a little peace of mind for my mum. Thank you Mark

Absolutely tremendous app. This is so useful for my mother there is nothing that compares to it, and the developer is incredibly helpful and communicative. I leave reminders and messages for my mum every day and it really does make a difference for her to be able to have the ready reference. I can't speak highly enough of this app, and if I didn't have a previous smart phone to leave at my mums, or if that ever packed up I would buy a small tablet to replace it just for this app. Thank you very much indeed.

Clock is to limited. No options to change font, Color or size. No ability to use graphic as background.

Many thanks to the author for making this app. It really does help keep Dad connected to the world. Removes the confusion about what day it is. Shows Google calendar items to remind him about upcoming things. This is far superior to any similar dedicated clock being sold.

Great app that we're currently using for my mother who has Lewy Body Dementia. I highly appreciate the easiness of the setup and use. I do have a few small suggestions for improvement though. Mother already managed to screw up the colour setup several times. My suggestion is that the colour setup becomes part of the configuration (so no long-press on upper right corner) and the normal configuration (long-press upper-left corner) becomes better protected, for instance, by means of a pin-code or something like that. If the user accidentally presses the upper-left, and doesn't enter the PIN within a certain time-out, the app automatically returns to the normal state. Another nice-to-have would be to allow configuring the font size of the three appointment lines. My mother also has macular degeneration and can read the first line very well, but the bottom line (3rd appointment) is too small and she can't read it. Many many thanks for this great app!!!

Was worth buying a cheap tablet just to run this app for my father
