The battle to really own your phone and plan will be a long and strenuous one. I will have to keep going the long way to shut my data down because it really has made my data go a long way. I am an American and what made this country great is inovation and the free will to do whats best for yourself. Not being able to do as I please with my phone is GD Communism! Try 3G On/Off. That one works.

I loved this app until a few weeks ago when it suddenly stopped working. It saved lots of data and was so convenient to turn it off and on with one tap. I guess AT&T blocked it, now I really have to watch because the gremlin in my phone likes to turn data on so it can be slurped up by stuff I would rather use when I have wifi.

S70%
by S####:

Android does not allow the 3rd party apps to change data status, hence the failure of this app. It may work on some old phones given some of the other comments, but wont on the latest systems. Problem is not with app, but with android.

Z70%
by Z####:

Hit the app for on the blue bar came on, and went grey when off. Now you never know if it's on or off unless you go through all the steps to check your settings. So what's the point now?

My lolipop upgrade came today and sadly this widget no longer works. Have used it for years. The alternative widgets that still work are not as great. Please update I miss you

S70%
by S####:

This widget has been with me since my Galaxy s3. And I've had the s4. And just recently got the s5. This widget worked perfectly fine until this new update. Now not ONE data enabler works. Someone (android or the widget company) not sure who, needs to fix this problem. I'm tired of going to settings to turn on/off my data. It's a waste of time.

S70%
by S####:

I've used this free app for a long time without any problems. The lollipop update broke it. I hope there is an update coming that will get it going again. I would puchase it if there was a working version.

S70%
by S####:

I would have rated it 5 stars if its icon was impressive and attractive... If this problem con be resolved by the app makers then do...plz..

S70%
by S####:

DOES NOT WORK ON S7EDGE. The app crashes when I'm trying to toggle the widget. When I click on the widget to turn off my data, my screen "blinks" and the app crashes. This app is a waste of precious space. DO NOT download it.

by K####:

I've used it for years on my Galaxy s3 and LG G Pad with no problems. But since the most recent update to the tablet, it won't work anymore. I also just upgraded from the s3 to an LG G4 phone and it's not compatible with that either. Would love it if there were an update to make it work with my devices or I guess I'll have to find a new data toggle widget.

Thank you! Such a simple app but soooo useful. I mostly use Wi-Fi now and I use the kill switch when I get home and to work. Then if I need something when I'm out and about, I flip the switch. My bill went from $40 to $20 a month

K70%
by K####:

Just a heads up, this switch does not work with Marshmallow and maybe not with Lollipop. In these two Android versions, tapping the widget will bring up the Mobile Data settings, that's fine. My experience is that instead of bringing up the settings, a message box pops up saying that the app has crashed. The widget has to be re-applied. It does not work for me.

V70%

Android doesn't allow the shortcut to work on my phone. Makes no sense that Android makes it such a pain to disable mobile data every time you need to. They must be getting some sort of kickback from the data miners.

L70%

For everyone saying they will increase their rating after the developer fixes it for the newest version of Android, don't hold your breath. Google simply stopped letting apps and widgets change this setting. There's nothing that can be done to "fix" it, short of rooting your phone and installing something else. Notice this issue is common to all similar widgets.

U70%
by U####:

The app isn't broken. The ability for 3rd party apps to turn data on and off was removed from Lollipop. Just saying, they can't "fix" the app. Not the devs' fault, complain to Google if you want it back (or root your phone.)

S70%
by S####:

Unfortunately Google have decided to block apps from turning data on and off in Lolipop, the latest version of android, so this widget no longer works (no fault of the app makers!). Very annoyed as I now have to go through two menus and switch a toggle just to do what his app let me do in one click! Great app for earlier android versions.

U70%
by U####:

....Android lollipop blocks 3rd-party data enablers like this one for "security reasons", they say. Doesn't work at all now. But if you're using an older Android OS, works great!

U70%
by U####:

Actually Android doesn't support these type of apps, but still few works but this one has been completely blocked. Don't waste your time

U70%
by U####:

Used to be a great app. Not sure if it's Samsung or Google blocking it from working but it's ridiculous. Why can't we have a mobile button like we used have? Fyi in the widgets you will find a Data widget. In there you also have the option to turn off mobile, At least that is less clicks

U70%
by U####:

The newest android upgrade does not allowed 3rd party apps to shut on and off the mobile data. If it wasn't because of that I'd give a 5 stars. Shame on you google.

U70%
by U####:

This won't work with new handsets running Android 6.0 Marshmallow as Android's new security settings block it. Some ROMs UI's allow access to the Mobile switch control, and this, when enabled, will allow this useful toggle switch to work. Had it for years, sad to lose it now.

E70%
by E####:

It just takes you to the settings view where you have to check the Enable Data box. It doesn't actually enable/disable data itself. What a waste of developers time. I can go to that page myself. This is why I wanted a widget -to not have to go there myself. So this saves me a couple clicks... Woopdy freaking doo..

W70%
by W####:

This use to be an amazing little widget that let you enable/disable data with the press of a button. Now this widget will not function and every time I want to enable/disable I have to click through 5+ menus to get to it. Counter-intuitive Google/Android or whoever wanted this implemented. It's obviously for monetary reasons (like they need more money...) Wish we could get another working widget like this!

U70%
by U####:

Not much to say as it works fine. Press it to turn data on, press again to turn off. No pop up asking if you're sure which is why I got it in the first place.

P70%

It keeps freezing and stops working.. No wait, it never worked since I got lollipop. Uninstalling.. Can't wait for upgrade.. Too much hassle

U70%
by U####:

It worked get on 4.4.2 but. ..not compatible with 5.0 so 3/5 stars or else 5/5... other togglers are not as good as this... It would be great if it supports 5.0. Kind of used to this for switching mobile data...

I am satisfied with d results , but 1 thing coz of which I have given 4 stars is..... The size of d widget is little larger to fit in a folder . I have to keep it on screen as a single widget.bcoz it does not get fit into the folder. Plz fix it

Need to install and uninstall a few times before installation will create widget to put on home screen. Widget is sometimes unresponsive.

I used this widget on my S3 for a couple of years, and it worked reasonably well. But the S7 has disabled and disallowed widgets that toggle mobile data on and off, for "security reasons".

I loved this widget until the most recent Galaxy S5 update. Now android no longer supports 3rd part data toggle apps. Not happy with Samsung. still love this widget though.

I was having it in my samsung s4 active ... and then I change it to samsung note 4 edge and it's not compatible :-( please update

S70%

Just the way it should be, it's beyond me why the phone (galaxy s 4) doesn't come equipped with one but you were the third all I tried and the one I didn't uninstall thanks

Q70%
by Q####:

My S5 Active doesn't have a data toggle in the notification bar, and this helps wonderfully without putting my phone into ultra power saving mode. Unfortunate that lollipop 5.0 kinda has problems. (I don't, but other users are)

Hi, I used to use this on older android, worked like a wizard. So I gave you 5 star. But on my Xperia z5 it didn't take me to data use option. Rather it took me to mobile network settings.fix this please. And a contact email would do great.

Q70%

Used to love this widget because it worked perfectly as a quick way to turn off only the data of the phone. The new OS from Android doesn't let it work though. Boo! Still leaving good stars though because it worked great before the last update!

D70%
by D####:

My phone just automatically updated and now it doesn't work with Andriod 5.0, and I got an error message saying now it will not allow 3rd party app to modify data toggles. Andriod just wants to keep your data on and let it run in the background..

D70%
by D####:

Please fix this!! I would give you guys 5 stars but since the update it hasn't worked! It shows if data is on or off, but any time I go to press it, it says 'data enabler has stopped working.' I used this app all the time and it's really a hassle without it. Please fix it soon!

I70%
by I####:

DID exactly what i needed. New upgrade nixed that. Will you be upgrading? Please? My Android phone works perfectly. Tap tap tapping to even find out if data is even on is a total pain. Now I have it right on my first page. Always know status at a glance and changing it is super easy. Thank you!
