About Taskbar

Taskbar puts a start menu and recent apps tray on top of your screen that's accessible at any time, increasing your productivity and turning your Android tablet (or phone) into a real multitasking machine!

On devices running Android 7.0+ (Nougat), Taskbar can also launch apps in freeform windows for a PC-like experience! No root required! (see below for instructions)

Also works great as an Android app launcher for Chromebooks! (Be sure to set your Chrome OS shelf to autohide)

Pretty good to be honest... Have a lot of potential if given some fine tuning. So far I've used it, no lag with the app itself and doesn't cause any issues to the phone either. I just wished that the launch icon can be freely placed or move to a different height or area on the phone screen by the user. Cos currently it can only be set to the fixed area given, which most of it are blocking the access to other apps...

1. Add an option to show only CURRENTLY active apps, instead of RECENTLY active. 2. Add option to hide taskbar when not on home screen. It gets in the way when using other apps and hiding it while collapsed I still accidentally open it.

Would give 5 stars if i could open a small window on top of another app open in full window

Automatically collapse taskbar when on-screen keyboard is shown seems broken dev. Sometimes it's working but most of the time it didn't. Otherwise, this is a cool useful app. Galaxy Alpha Lollipop

Can't set 500 Firepaper (MIUI), and need a way to resize icons or set # of rows/columns so can fit more for less scrolling.

Cool app, but one thing that would be really useful would be an option to have the expand button automatically open the start menu, so it's simply one button instead of having to expand and then press start.

Looks great, very useful, doesn't use allot resources and open source. I wish I could make it show only the open applications without the recent applications.

Great application! Please let us set the taskbar height so it fits more naturally on small display configuration.

Awesome app.. Hope it turns into a full fledged launcher.. With customised icons and unread notifications, also please add a menu button for recent apps menu like the apps and widgets and navigation buttons instead of showing recent apps on the taskbar itself..

D70%
by D####:

Great app that utilizes the multi windowing system of Android. But could you alter the navbar colour to be transparent like that of launchers(after enabling it in experimental features)? Its black and non-overlay(able) like chrome....

D70%
by D####:

Great design; I just find that the scrollbar's touch area is a bit too narrow for me to grab it reliably. The main feature I miss most is a context menu entry for opening an app's page in the Google Play Store; as well as an option to always open the app menu with the keyboard already activated. Also perhaps allowing searching for an app's package name would be a helpful extra.

If you want the power and mobility of Windows 10 on your Android phone, and tried all of those cool "Multi-Window" apps that are garbage, your search is over, and you've found exactly what you've been looking for. TaskBar turns your Android device into a desktop version of Android, and it is absolutely stunning. My advice to the developers: 1. Have the taskbar apps consistently placed, including folder support. It's confusing when the apps change places based on last used. 2. Add buttons in the top bar (where the maximize and close buttons currently are) to Align to top/bottom and minimize/maximize apps for easier navigation. If app is minimized, the icon on the taskbar is highlighted or has an indication that it is running and minimized, and if an app is maximized, then the top bar still shows (so technically it isnt "maximized", it just fills the screen, minus the top bar), so that I can easily maximize, minimize, switch windows etc) To elaborate on the maximize function, it would be fantastic if the actual menu bar NEVER goes away on the app, so if I press the maximize button, it essentially makes the app fill the screen, but I still have the ability to tap the minimize, maximize, and close button just like how Windows works. This also avoids the fact that once you maximize an app, you have to force close it if you want it back in windowed mode. The menu bar should always be available for every app! At least the option to should be there. It's also worth mentioning that TaskBar should automatically save the LOCATION, and size of each app window. I find that once I close Chrome and reopen it in windowed mode, it opens in a landscape-shaped window, offset to the right, hiding half of the window. 3. Please make resizing windows easier and more clear. Even if that means adding an arrow on the top left of the menu bar and having users resize that way would be much better than what I have to do now, which is essentially tap and move, nope that didnt work.. tap and move, nope, still scrolling in the app etc. 4. Please, please add resizable widgets! Not manual pre-set sizes for the entire homescreen. So to recap: Make the taskbar more static so apps dont move around, and add folder support. Add align / min / max buttons similar to Windows 7/10. Make resizing windows more obvious and a lot easier. And finally, add resizable widget support. This app has so much potential, it's incredible. I will donate a big chunk of money if these features are added!!

The screen size of Clash Royale is too small. I couldn't set the size. Whenever I did that, the game closed by itself. Since Clash Royale is a popular game, so please, fix this!

Great multi-tasking free form window app for nougat I use it a lot and it comes in handy of course not all games or apps may run properly since the apps layout might not work on that small of a window however it works great for whatever layouts do support it.

Awesome app with so much potential. Only suggestion is the ability to add more widgets. Having access to widgets without leaving main homescreen is priceless.
