Podkeeper podcast player

Just remarkably good! I tried a bunch, and this is the winner, hands down. Great support from the dev, too. The fast updating of my list, the ease of adding new podcasts to my followed list, and the place-marking feature are all excellent. Thanks, Alan.

I was totally happy with the free version. I encountered no bugs. Ads are not intrusive or annoying. Great selection of podcasts. After trying this long enough to be confident that it's reliable, I paid the very reasonable 2.99 to support the author. I'm SO glad he released this to us. Running on One Plus, Android 5.0.2.

Simplistic but beautiful design approach. Fantastic layout of controls. Saves podcasts to SD card! Very easy to download programs. Tried them all! This ones worth buying... I gave it 5 ★★★★★

This is the app I was looking for to replace my iPhone podcast app. It simply works. Simple to subscribe, simple to set up external s.d. download. Big buttons for in car use. Picks up where I left off. I could not be happier.

Only downside from free version is 10-15 minutes into a long podcast episode, podkeeper crashes and turns off leaving me in silence and it hasn't kept last location of podcast before it stopped. This is on a galaxy s6, and was fine before upgrading from free.

So glad it is simple and not fallen into the teen social trap. Could a future option be to sync so moving between devices a podcast picks up where is was stopped on another device?

Podkeeper is a great app. Podcasts can be listened to offline (downloaded) and it is simple to use.

I love this , I can stream or download podcasts, also nice grouping titles for different podcasts, exactly what I was looking for, definitely recommended.

This does the important things you'd expect from a podcaster without bloat or glitz. Perfect! Developer is responsive too!

Does what I need it to do very well and has excellent features without being bloated with unnecessary ones. Easy to use.

This app is good at what it does, namely downloading or streaming podcasts and keeping track of where you are in each one. (UPDATE - I believe this has been fixed: There are some issues with it not detecting when an episode has been listened to.) It reminds me of Juice for desktop plus playback capabilities.

UPDATE 2 - As he did for another reviewer, the programmer fixed the few errors I encountered almost as soon as I sent an email to him. - This app is good at what it does, namely downloading or streaming podcasts and keeping track of where you are in each one. Used the free version a few weeks and have now bought it since it is really worth it and have improved steadily.

Would like to see a feature where you can move podcasts up and down in the list

I recently had a problem as podcasts would not download. Emailed Alan to ask for help and got a reply within 24 hours. Unfortunately his suggestions didn't work and I fed this back. I then got an apology that he hasn't been in contact over holiday weekend but that he would be working on an upgrade. Then another email detailing when the upgrade would be available and what it would do. Downloaded upgrade and everything works again! I have tried other podcast downloaders and players. None match Podkeeper.

No complaints. My jealously guarded Google Listen subscript finally stopped

Few things would make it perfect. 1. Scheduled auto downloader. This is a must have IMO for every serious podcast listening app. 2. Able to delete non downloaded/skipped podcast from showing up in the lists. 3. Slide to delete option.

Simple to use, works smoothly. No learning curve! I wish all Android developers wrote such elegant code! Thank you!

So far, I am not too pleased with my purchase. If I toggle to another app, ½ of the time my podcast stops playing. When I restart the player, my podcast starts from a different time. It is getting very annoying.
