Good ridesharing option for Austin. Use my referral code "Justin45" Similar to Lyft or Uber with the option to schedule pickups ahead of time and requesting preferred drivers. May be slightly more expensive, but there is no surge and if you schedule in advance, no waiting.

Promo code doesn't work. Ride request keeps loading and doesn't work either. I've downloaded the app on three separate occasions since Uber/Lyft left but I've never gotten it to work. RideAustin is what I'm using lately and it's pretty solid. Just wanted to shop around for something cheaper... Nevermind!

Beware $5.00 fare cancellation fee. I requested a fare, waited more than 10 minutes, and the app was still showing the spinning radar as "searching." Not until I hit cancel request was I informed that there was a fee and a driver en route (we'd given up and found a taxi by this point). Cancellation fee charged to my card. Will definitely never use Fare again.

When attempting to use a Google Voice/Project Fi number I get the error that my "mobile number has not been vetted" and asks me to use a different number. Meaning, I can't use the app at all. :-/

These negative reviews are not my experience as a driver. My riders are happy with the service. Scheduled rides are not where they could be. Goes both ways though. Many of my scheduled pick ups have been no show. They don't even bother to cancel. Contact your driver if they don't contact you to confirm ride. Use Referral code "paula5" please thank u! I almost never rate and review apps but Fare is just that bad. Three no-shows, countless immediate cancellations, drivers who don't understand English well enough to be at the right pick-up location, UI not rider-friendly - the list just goes on. I'm hoping Lyft and Uber come back to Austin b/c this is an AWFUL alternative.

Was a little skeptical at first with such a low rating but considering the other options I went ahead and give this a try. Everything worked smoothly for me on my first trip. Would rather use a service like this then regular yellow taxi companies.

Terrible app. My daughter used my phone and now it puts everything under her name and email. It won't log her out, nor will it allow me to change it. There is no PHONE NUMBER to call support and the person via email just keeps repeating the same ridiculous answers over and over. The Fasten Car Service is better.

What a horrendous alternative. Things were going so well before in Austin, TX. This app barely works. I have had numerous drivers cancel on me but I have to pay $5 when I had to cancel one time. Most of the drivers hardly speak English. I only use this when I absolutely positively have to.

Do NOT use them! Two issues I had: 1) Fare sent him (driver) to the wrong address. (application glitch) 2) I did not order a larger vehicle (or elite). (application glitch) I was willing to pay for the corrected amount but fare's customer service denied my request with the below response. ---------------------------------------- "To address the location showing incorrect on the ride request, I will go ahead and confirm that you were charge for the most efficient miles and minutes for the trip. In regards to the class of the car at this time I can not change the rates for a lower class. A request for an Elite vehicle service was sent from your device and that is why this particular driver was selected to pick you up. This app is a joke. Downloaded it and scheduled a ride to the airport, and when the guy was due to arrive, the app said he was 25 min away! With modern day GPS, there's no reason whatsoever the guy should have been confused. Beyond that, every single time you launch the app it prompts you to enter a confirmation number that they then text you. Absurd. Fare (and Fasten)--Austin's misguided and woefully inadequate answer to the problem THEY created by banning uber and lyft.

Every search either never stops loading or says it can't be processed. Try "ride later" and it does nothing! App is written by a 3rd grade!?!?

Much less consistent than other ride sharing programs at finding and providing rides. Missing some important functionality present in Uber and Lyft.

Make sure never to schedule a pickup with them. They will cancel on you every time. I tried it twice for my morning flights and both times they cancelled. They also charge 1.5x what others charge. Just erased the app from my phone, you should as well.

I drove 21 mils, when I arrived to drop off destination, the app went back to start the trip again. I didn't get paid. Avoid them, not concrete, not professional.

Needed a ride to work from the dealership 14 miles 20 minutes and they are charging me $78?!!!! DO NOT USE DO NOT USE

No show on a scheduled ride. No way to deactivate the account or remove the credit card that they force you to input. Will not be trusting this company with future ride shares.

App takes twice as long as others to match a ride, drivers don't move for 10-15min., I cancel (get charged), order from other rideshare, both drivers show up at the same time (even though I had canceled Fare).

Left AZ with no prior notice or warning. Screwed over the drivers here.

How is it possible that this app is so bad. As terrible a company as Uber is, this POS app makes me miss them. Weird is not better, Austin.

The app didn't work. They charged double what every other service does without notice.

Me and a buddy used Fare last year for RTX. It was very helpful always on time and had some gteat drivers. My buddy downloaded it last year so I did for this year.

Fraud & Rude drivers

App used to work fine but now everytime i open it, it either asks for phone number confirmation or won't open at all. Also, I tried to set it up on my GFs phonebusing my Credit Card for emergencies and they froze her account due to possible fraud. I worked with them to resolve issues, they claimed they were resolved but her app has NEVER worked.

Tried to get a ride home after a night of drinking. I spent 20 minutes requesting a ride and when a driver finally accepted my request, they immediately cancelled it. Now I can't find a ride at all and have no way of getting home besides a cab or walking. Get more drivers and fix your glitchy app and maybe I'll consider using it again.

Left myself and four of my friends stranded. The application would just hang and would not find a ride. This is a completely useless service and application. Please, for your own sake, do not use this service. Make other arrangements if you plan on being out late and need a ride home. This is the worst application/service I have had the displeasure of interacting with. Ever. I don't mean to be dramatic. This is garbage

This app sucks. They held two separated $30 charges for my 'attempt' to get a ride. I didn't even take a ride! Nice job. Do not use this app.

With Lyft and Uber gone in Austin this is the best replacement. Referral code Vinny2 if you want to help a random guy out at no cost to yourself.

I used this app about a week ago and it estimated the cost to be between 10 and 12 dollars. But after it was over. They charged me over 24 bucks. And now they refuse to do anything about it. Their excuse is that it was peak hour so it cost more, but never informed me about it till I was charged.

Asks for tip and how was ride before driver arrives. Cant seem to move pin. Now says not available in my area suddenly but of course it is.

Everything I open the app it's ask for a phone then I enter the code and it takes me right back to the request for a number? I've tried Uninstall the install again with no luck.

I used the app on a previous trip to Austin with no problems. Second time around, my account has been disabled without my knowledge or doing so. When trying to create a new account, I received messages saying my credit card can't connect to app manager.. WTF!!??? I hate this app and wish Uber never left Austin.

Driver was very nice. However, I ended up paying over $50 for a ride that the app estimated at $33 to $37. They need to get pricing fixed. The driver took the most direct route, so it's definitely the apps fault.

Do you like being charged $10 everytime you open an app? If you do this app is for you. Been communicating with support and the charge has already been processed despite what the support person says. So, for a trip that shows on an email receipt to cost $36.60 including tip I get to pay an extra $10 making it $46.60.
