fanSync for Android
Tips: Run the setup wizard in the app AFTER you install the fans Bluetooth receiver. Does NOT need a pairing code so do NOT attempt to pair via phone's BT settings. Controls speed, light, and time via slide controls. Works great.
The app works fine but needs optimization it loads so fricking slowly I can load 150 tabs in my browser in the same time it take to get to my fan controls. Which is not good when it is fricking hot in my room!
Crashes half the time you open it. Timer either doesn't work or requires secret, non intuitive control sequence.
I sit under my ceiling fan and it says no fans in range. Some stupid app that is useless.
So before you piss me off more rhan you already have by telling me I need a fanimation fan control, I already do. As most have said your Bluetooth does not work, in fact it SUCKS!
Does not work at all. Says there are no fans found.... I'm eight feet away right now.
Terrible. They need to update the app. Super glitchy. Doesn't even pick up my fans half the time.
Does what it's supposed to. Very easy set-up. Great job, thank you. One star off because I can't install it on a Shield Tablet running Android 6.x.
Constantly crashes and doesn't connect/detect transmitter
I'll give it 5 Stars when it works with Alexa.
Nothing comes up...nothing on menu, list..etc.
When I'm right underneath one -_-
Stupid
Worked reasonably well until the most recent update. Now it hardly works at all.** Update on Aug 15th or so seems to have resolved my connection issues. Works much better on my android phone. Almost always works on my wife's iPhone
The timing meter is a little confusing. NO Instructions what so ever. But working good on 3 android devices. I really like the App idea of remotely controlling the fan., its just kind of cheaply made. Now if they could get it so it was wifi!!!
Stupid company tied light with fan! Only way to control them is with the remote, no app, no ecobee integration, no Amazon echo.. waste
Easy setup. Intuitive
Since the company that built the product obviously doesn't know how it works, I've taken it upon myself to write a control app that works perfectly, it took a whole day and a half.
Have to refresh the page several times to get it to show up. When the app starts it turns my Bluetooth off if it's already on.
I hung the tip of the antenna out of the cover. Maybe that will keep making a reliable connection. - update - no connection most of the time. Consider a cheaper RF remote since app hardly works.
This version sucks. I upgraded my phone and I am now using this new version. Almost never finds the fan, I have to refresh it several times (5-10) and may be it will find it. Sometimes I need to turn the wall switch off and on just to find it which really defeats the purpose. My wife still has the old app and the old app works great. She can have the fan up and going before my app even fully opens.
This app sucks. I wind up having to use the remote all the time because it says there are no fans and I'm maybe a foot away! I used to. Be able. To find it from across the house on the old app. From the looks of it they haven't fixed this issue in many months and don't care.
Now does not work 6 inches from the fan. I suspect someone bought out the product but didn't buy the rights to the "old" utility that had a green theme. Even that one had very little range, but was a lot better than this "new" app. Now I can see no reason for anyone to buy one of these Bluetooth fan controllers -- easier to put your money in a pile and set fire to it.
This app worked great a few months ago. And now it never finds the bt fan. Very bad
Just switched from iPhone to android and now it only finds fans 1/10 times. IPhone still finds them.
Does not work less than 6" from fan.
Junk. Can't find fan. Trash of an app
When I'm right underneath one -_-
Sitting right under fan, however, app claims that there are no fans in range.
It's no good
Will not work
Stupid
Horrific. Works wonderfully on iOS, but it worked one time on an android and never again after that.
My fan is spinning and it tells me no. Fan in range and I have the remote or it right next to
Fanimation stated the app is going to be updated soon. Hopefully this month for Android
Does not work
Didn't work
Doesn't work.
Purchased and installed a BTCR9 and I have to say this app and the bluetooth functionality of this remote is worthless. I am lucky if 1/10 commands from my Nexus 6 actually work. Even when they do work, I still get the error message "Connection Error: Consider Resetting Bluetooth If Issue Persists". After a few attempts to send a command the app will just no longer find the fan and I end up having to get up and get the remote anyways. I will reach out to support but chances are this is getting returned to Amazon.

Just tried for first time and works fine. I think people give it 1 star because they don't have the right receiver in the fan. It can't be a DC fan, and you have to have the blue receiver up top in the fan. It can work on any ac fan if your fan is wired correctly to the blue receiver.
