Family Tree Maker - FamilyGTG

Great. Use it for viewing my family tree data on the go. Well done but not quite as full featured as the app I used on iOS before switching to Android. One hugely important feature request: Would you consider adding people's current ages to their info? This is one of the primary reasons for wanting this software on my phone.

Room for improvement, but still good. By far the least hassle-filled Family Tree app that you can get without money (might pay for the premium version just on principle). Only real complaint is you can only view branches directly related to someone. Would be nice to have options that show different branches from in-laws and such, as opposed to just direct ancestors/descendents from one person. Also having an option to view the tree vertically would be amazing.

Just another disappointing "bait-n-switch", typical of this Google play nonsense. Details of this app says you can import your Gedcom file but with an asterisk (*). OK, looks like * = some limitations; but, none listed, understandable, once installed it'll probably only import a few generations to let you "kick the tires" and check it out. Limitation is ya can't import anything 'till ya buy the blame thing! Suckered into another Bait-n-switch. I must admit, it looked promising... past tense. Get a tablet they said, it'll be fun and productive they said. :^ |

This application is good because two different family members can be related with the help of "Select member" function of this family.Other apps don't have this function. Therefore it is more good app than others. Please make its tree view better than before.

This app has really helped me to just make a simple easy to view family tree. The only thing I would recommend is that you can see someone's entire extended family and not just their descendants.

Awesome app!!! I was looking for decent, user friendly and no-nonsense app. After installing and deleting couple of other apps, I found this and gee... It exceeded all my expectations.

If I only had standard 2 parent families, I wouldn't need the app. I need more relative options.

This app will not allow you to add same sex spouses.

Can't have same-gender spouses? Really? Besides the shoddy interface, it is simply inaccessible to gay families like mine.

Cant see all the tree not even your siblings for that im deliting it

I like that we can export the trees to GEDCOM file. I wish we could add someone's siblings without us inputting their parents; it's not always an information we have when talking many generations ago.

Really good app. One significant feature is missing and that is "Relationship Calculator". Please consider adding this feature.

How can a genealogy program fail to have such an important legal documentation field as marriage dates???? Also no obvious way to track moves/immigrations. Didn't even bother checking if it would allow me to input in Chinese for that part of my family before giving up.

Overall I do like this although it has a few problems. Such as, my parents weren't married and it makes them were they are spouses to which I have siblings with different parents on either side, and makes me wonder if I add them will it say they're both of theirs instead of just one of theirs. One last thing, I didn't see anything about privacy protection, can anyone but me view what I add to my tree?

The app is nice but trail version stop working it cant give us family tree and is it does not showing wherether the version has expired... all in its cool. How do i buy a full version i m in Botswana

Tried this to see if GED files would open for relatives that want to see my tree. Works well and also allows me to see my tree without having my PC on all the time.

Really wanted this to work but it wont import the file glad i hadnt paid for it yet. :/

Works great on android tablet, play around with it first to get use to all the feature's.. Recommended ☺

I wish I could move/organize the family members up and down by just dragging them especially when there's 15 children. Maybe next update. Thanks!

Version 1.3.6 is a significant improvement on the previous version. Certainly worth an extra star!

I would say 'not user friendly' but no.. It's user hostile. There's a whole lot of improvement that can be done to this app. Especially on the user interface.

But for improvement. I insist a better personalised view, background and full tree view
