About Lahore Police 15
Lahore Police took the initiative to make the crime reporting system more quick, easy and remote. Now, anyone can report a crime directly from the crime scene to get instant response and help. To run this app, one needs to have an internet connection and GPS enabled on his handheld android device. After downloading the app, to launch it you will be asked to fill up a form containing your information like name, address, email etc., and then you will be automatically directed to call 15 for activation.
The app contain three different tabs for reporting which are Rescue 15 and police complaint cell. Once the App has been duly activated, if unfortunately you happen to pass by some crime you may call Rescue 15 via this app to report the crime and your current location will be sent automatically to the Rescue 15 operator along with your call. If due to some reason you can’t call then in such case you may send picture or text message about the crime and the location will be sent automatically. To report a complaint in your near police station you may use the Police complaint cell tab. After reporting the crime you can also check the status of your report. You can only use this app when you are within the territory of Lahore.
Please Note: Any fraudulent, misleading or prank report will result in enforcement of cybercrime act with immediate and severe action. And you will be held liable for any such misconduct as your every report will be bearing your exact location.

The app is useful, however, I am facing difficulty in having it installed on my new Android device. On activation the police says my app is already activated (had it activated on my previous device) while the app fails to activate on the new device, hence doesn't function at all. Please help

I received a message from the number saying that the app has been activated and gave me a reference number. Few minutes later, I got a call from another number asking me why I called 15 and what is the trouble. I told him that it was the required procedure for activation. He didn't know anything about the application and kept asking what's wrong. I think the communication isn't across the board and various departments within police know nothing of the application. My application is still not activated.
