What are users saying about Exodus Updater

Exodus developers are one of the best in android. Their specialty is battery back up with performance. And you won't believe, phone doesn't slow down overtime unlike other ROMs. Their software tuning is best. My LG G2 is getting more than 5 and half hours of Screen time and stand by battery is superb, overnight drained only 2%. Cheers to this special community.

Don't get how people can do something fairly technical and not expect to have a small degree of intuition. Good PR? The thing is literally free and works a million times better than stock CM. Get over yourselves with the whiney Yelp style reviews.

New update didn't automatic reboot after tapping "update" button.....any solution for this?

K70%

It would be nice if the updated does a backup of the current system, boot & data partitions before applying the new patch. It will be quite helpful.

Dave did a great job with this app. It's a huge improvement over the updater that used to be built into the settings app in Exodus. For everyone complaining that you can't update, try updating your firmware. It's something that cm did with their nightlies, which Exodus is based off of. All you have to do is download the 5/15 firmware and flash from recovery. Then, it should work fine.

Downloads are so much slower than the integrated download system from before. Going to Cm 12.1

I'm downloading at 20kbs, before using the app I could download updates at 1MB+. The developer seems to think that ease of updating (which is the entire point of this app) has nothing to do with the app and I have an unfair review. So let me add an "actual" fault After the 3.5 hour download, I had to restart my phone and re install the app for it to find the download P.S. if Android pay ever works on this ROM I might just donate, I'm switching roms until this is supported Such a shame as your ROM is best

The download progress sometimes disappears and then this causes a force close when selecting nightly builds to install. It seems to work again when download is completed, but you don't know when that is because the progress notification disappears... Great ROM and OK app, just a minor annoyance.

F-Secure FreeDome tells me there is no malware in this application (though that is not a full-proof analysis.) I liked the inbuilt Exodus updater more, because there was one less app to be installed. But since that no longer works, I was forced to download this app. I was not particularly happy with the permissions required, but still went ahead. I simply pressed the "Get latest" and within 5 minutes, I had the entire nightly build downloaded. Very nice! Now, what next? I was not able to figure out how to get the 'auto update' to actually work, since nothing really happened. Just a note that I was updating from a one month old Exodus build on my Droid Maxx XT1080. So after playing around and doing some search on the Internet, I thought of tapping on the Home button inside the app and selected the Nightlies. I could see the latest one with a check against it. I tapped there and it gave me an option to Update. Voila. It checked the MD5 automatically, rebooted into TWRP and updated. I would say this is far better than the yester-years when we had to do everything manually.
