Transcribe Player for Android
I had a lesson with the great Stu Hamm yesterday and he suggested this app to help learn the Paul Chambers' bass solo on Moment's Notice by John Coltrane.
Another developer who thinks s/he's Micro$oft. Ridiculous.
This is tailored well to transcribe audio files. Easy to use and pretty much does it all. Is there a way to associate play pause button with the headphone button? Now that would be sublime
It's just an audio player which you can get anywhere. It transcribes nothing. You have to transcribe the audio yourself.
How do I transcribe without a keyboard
Nice player to listen and transcribe.
I don't like the monthly subscription, so uninstalled.
This app is perfect for transcribing. On other apps, I feel really uncomfortable and they don't work very well, but this app is REALLY easy to use. It has a slowdown button, short and long rewind/skip buttons, a pause button, and that's it!
If only it would jump back one or two seconds from pause it would be a a stock five star app
Good app Has almost all the function you need. Better than all the other 26 apps I tested. Highly unfair rated app. However, I think that the monthly price is a little bit high. But also the add version works quite well.
Why the hell does it not play mp3..i keep getting an error when loading files and the only way i can get back to using my phone is by restarting! Really!
I've been looking for something like this to transcribe my lecture notes. Closest to this was a solid 30 rewind / fast forward, which was often way too long. Here's hoping it works!
There are so many ads in this app, unbelievable. To get rid of them you have to pay monthly which is really ridiculous. The app looks super simple and must have been easy to make. So overpriced. Next to that it could not even load my wav files.
I have the pro version and after the recording ends there is not a way to save the text or even look at it
Simple, few keys to operate, speed control, more ... Nice.
It works really well. Since my works have many things to do with transcription, this app has really helped me so much. keep it up!
The app states it is free but all it does is play your audio. You have to pay to unlock thr transcriber.
It started working well. Now the app delays the responses in the short and long steps making impossible to get to the part of the audio you want to hear.
If you have access to a PC where you can install programs, do yourself a favor and get Express Scribe or some other app and avoid transcribing on Android. If not, this app has all the features you need to transcribe. While having keyboard shortcuts (or even a pedal) is definitely faster, I've found that since my computer died, I've been able to get decent speeds using word on my tablet and transcribe player on my phone. While it's the best android transcription app, I have taken off 1 star for 2 missing features that would put this on par with a PC transcription program. First, video support would be nice. PC transcription programs all have video playback with the same skip and pause features this app has. Second, and perhaps this just isn't possible on Android, but I suspect it is, having keyboard shortcuts to run the app in the background while having Word open would make this app way, way more convenient.
Choosing an MP3 voice file gives me a "Loading file" message. How long does this app take to finish loading a 1.82 megabyte file?! Now that I have disabled speed. The file loads quickly. Now, how do I transcribe? By actually playing the file? Instructions would be nice.

How does this app work? I mean... i cant load an audio so??
Does what it's supposed to do. I like the ability to start back a few seconds after hitting pause. Works great on my S5, 5.0. Paid for it. Thanks!
Would love it if you add a repeat section feature
Is there no way to save the song? Once you change the tempo and such?
Not working. When I try to go foward or backward it doesn't do as it should and starts from the beginning
So i really like this app and i use our to do my transcription work with. I completely love having the ability to go back or forward by two different amounts of time. That's really convenient. But i can't give you five stars until you add an audio speed setting as well please. Like i said i really like this asp but i am going to be looking for another that does what i need so I'm not pausing the audio every five seconds. Thank you!
I will give it 5 stars if you add a feature to place track marks and name them. Intro, verse, chorus, or any other part of the song you want to jump to. I use a portable mini disk player to transcribe because it let's me add track marks wherever I want. I need a program like this to do the same thing. I love the option to change the speed and interval of time to skip. Great job. I just paid for the app. It is almost perfect for my needs.

Does all I need it to do.
Can not load an audio file transcribe, screen goes black and crashes.
super like
It won't play my audio files and it keeps crashing.
Sliding to seek a particular minute doesn't work. It would be perfect if you add the option to use volume buttons to go back and pause with screen off.
Saved me so much time. If something like this had a trial so I knew it would work, I'd buy it after. I did find that there's a paid version. I'll buy it just to donate to a great product.
Just it;d bomb
Simple and useful. Unfortunately the speed control didn't work for me and crashes the app, but that's in beta so understandable and expected. The core functionality works perfectly.

Actually this app really helped me a lot for my transcriptis. But now the indicator is broken, it can't moved whether to the left or right side. I tried to uninstall it then re-download it, but I don't think it's work now. Why?
