My suggestion is, if your magazine uses exact editions, then buy the print version, do not go digital. Or, choose another magazine, one that uses a better, less customer hostile reading app. Then tell your favorite magazine why you did this.

Uninstalled app 6 months ago. Just found 500 files in the sync folder totalling 150MB. Why were these not removed on uninstall?

I've got a Nook HD+ and the earlier version (2), while clunky, worked reasonably. This new one, which has only been out a few days, is unusable. It appears to synch an issue of the Oldie but then just shows a large question mark instead of a page. Does anyone know where I could download the old version again? 3/4/15 - The updated version (3.0.2) now works fine. Thanks for repairing it so quickly. Now 3 stars.

The app is better than it used to be but they make it difficult to register a subscription and they aren't very helpful because they assume nothing can be wrong and you must be an idiot.

I have been a harsh critic of this app in the past but you have made some huge improvements that need to be applauded.

Seems to be getting better, the main problem for me now though is the text is blurred in pages when fully zoomed in. It's almost as if the app is just simply zooming in and enlarging a static image of a magazine page, instead of rendering the text elements as fonts..

Finally it seems everything is working as it should, I am giving 5 stars

Tech support were great and quick in sorting out an issue when I replaced my tablet. I have used ExactEditions for almost 3 years now and I works perfectly for me.

It's totally stopped working! Pointless having subscriptions if I can't read em. What's going on? UPDATE. Thank you for great customer service, all working now and great again. I have forgotten my login details after reinstalling though because I'm a dope. How do I reset this? Much appreciated!

I've had to continually uninstall then install any number of times. It really doesn't work since latest update. I like the changes but something is wrong. Please be more proactive than "a small number of users....uninstall and install...". Please... UPDATE:Since latest update I am now enjoying very smooth reading and full access to app. Appreciate attentive customer care I received over problem and complaint. Thank you Exactly team

version 3.1.0 is just as bad as previous one. It shows that it's synching and unzipping the chosen issue, but once again it loads only blank pages with that annoying "Nope nothing to show. Are you offline?" screen. I tried it both online and offline and it's the same thing. Can you please, please, PLEASE allow us to download previous versions of the app? This is way too frustrating and I'm afraid that I'm gonna hurl my tablet device out of the window.

Read the reviews before downloading but decided to take a punt as I had a free subscription. Works great and easy to use. Only change I would make is to remove the pages and pages of advertising before the magazine starts. I'm sure this isnt the developers problem. Maybe a feature to save your favourite pages in a scrapbook style thing.

I'm not sure if you tried your app offline but it only shows 6 top editions of which 1 is synced and won't let me scroll past that? Bizarre, nice look but key function seems a bit broken

Easy to use and perhaps the best e-magazine app I've come across

Ok - so a new version means the ENTIRE library of magazines I had now has to be downloaded again. The Syncing speed is painfully slow and continually fails.... so now there's little prospect of receiving all the magazines that were saved and paid for. Who do I contact for a refund?

I like to read The Wire on Exact Editions, the new version feels a lot smoother and responsive than past versions. Its nice to know strides are being made to improve the enjoyment of digital editions. Thanks!

The latest update works much better on Nexus 7 but syncing a new edition of my monthly magazine is still painfully slow.

Had to download my magazines again and now I can't read them. Hated the old version but it just about did the job. This fails on every level. Please fix it!

Wasted my money on a magazine subscription because this so called reader app isn't fit for purpose. Just give me a high resolution pdf. Recommend no one do a digital magazine subscription if they use this tripe. Update: still terrible. Further update: it doesn't crash much now, but that's probably because it's refusing to show me any editions (actually only one edition, from years ago, what?). They will come up on the Web site, so my sub is still active. Sigh. Advice is still not to subscribe to digital editions of magazines which use this app. There's clearly a very good reason why the exact editions blog website features the ipad certain exclusively, and this horror of an app, not at all.

App works ok but is lacking key functionality to allow you to bookmark pages. Without this it is pretty useless. The Apple version has this functionality so why not the android app?

Given the poor reviews on this page, 2+ stars out of 5, I was not expecting this magazine "portal" to impress me!? -but it actually surprises me that it is as good as it is -"well done" to the team at "Exactly", keep up the great work!!! -2015Feb08

Not sure how this is meant to work, all I get is a very old splash screen. Eventually discovered how to set logon credentials ! So rerated as 3 stars

Can't register, can't see new editions, bad UX design ... Poor app!

Why the torture?? Please magazines do not use this for your subscriptions! My sub has been a waste of money as I can rarely read any issue. Emailing the Dev does not help at all. I am not running an older version, every review here says this app is useless, so making it usable would be nice.

Still hopeless, not good enough sort it out

This is now unusable. I cannot get it to work for a minute without it crashing and it continually comes back to an edition I read months ago.

Utterly unusable as crashes within moments of opening, saying something about checking username/password, then wont load for half a day, then crashes again

Just downloaded and it doesn't work. Just searching and searching for ages. The interface is confusing, but that doesn't matter because it doesn't work anyway. Seriously, whoever designed this app needs to think about a new profession. Awful.

I don't know what they have done in latest update to this app. I could just about tolerate it before but now it crashes after only a few minutes use. Agree with other reviews. Awful.
