Asteroid Hunter

Asteroid Hunter uses real astronomical images taken at the Observatory of Teide (3000m) in Canary Islands to search for asteroids.

The images are aligned, and a video created. You can search for undiscoverd asteroids by trying to find a pale dot moving through the image. This dot is actually a moving asteroid hundreds of km away form earth. There maybe tens of them in a single image.

You may wish to select the asteroids and proceed to send the data to IAC (Institute of Astrophysics of Canary Islands). These coordinates will help researchers find new asteroids in our solar system!
