Evernote - stay organized. for Android
Evernote is great! I use it to clip everything that's inspiring or thought-provoking (or tasty). I also keep creative project notes and artistic reference there. Forever! Both the app and the Windows desktop versions seem tobe very clunky and slow at times, especially when it comes to editing. There should also be more ways to accommodate writing long-form, lists, reminders, etc. I use this app every day. I'm rarely this satisfied with anything.
I started out using the free Evernote, and took a couple of notes here and there. At one point, I realized that I was missing important information when I needed it, so I made a decision to use it more actively. And I'm happy I did! Evernote lives up to all expectations, and it's worthwhile to experiment a bit with figuring out how to best organize your notes. I use it for everything now!
Even the Free Version offers so much - Absolutely Brilliant App! I have Evernote installed on my computer along with my Phone, and everything is in sync. Once you start using Evernote, you can't stop. Ever. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that they no longer allow you to sync to 3 devices on Basic.
The share dialog notebook selector used to order my notebooks by frequency of use. Now they're in alphabetical order which isn't as useful. There are a lot of screens which are all white, which is hard on my eyes. Please see some other colors on toolbars and use some grays for backgrounds
Please give us an option to change FONT SIZE & STYLE.. and don't just keep it in the paid version.. it'll be very annoying for lots of the user.. I use evernote almost daily.. find very useful.. but only the font restriction is bugging me
Latest 'update', now DRAINING BATTERY thru their widget, apparently. Eating battery @ 42% total power use! Going DOWNhill; Moto G5+
It is extremely disappointing. I was writing a very important note and I kept saving it till the last moment but all of a sudden a part of my note gets deleted and there is no way to retrieve the lost info. I request the authority to kindly check the matter and tell me how I can get back my lost info ASAP
Taking off a star due to update, the most recent three notebooks are no longer appearing at the top of the list of notebooks, which is much less convenient. Still a good app. This is life-changing! Total organization of my chaotic thoughts, diverse areas of interest, and things I need to do. Would be even better if I could choose the order of notebooks and notes, i.e., move them around.
The only functionality of Evernote which has any worth left is of the online filing cabinet. Note taking is buggy, slow, and lacks integrity - formatting as simple as strikethrough gets lost. The support team can never replicate anything. Even if they claim that new note editor features have been implemented, nothing is noticeable. It is becoming more and more difficult to justify sticking with Evernote.
Sorely lacking a print option. Great that you can look at your notes or send them to another overnoter, but often one wants a hard copy. Fair search functions, email address is a good idea.
This latest update caused my phone to bootloop , i have removed it now in safe mode and my phone works. I guess some new libraries or something have been added in this update that's causing the problem
Huge Fan of Evernote. I primarily use it for grad school, and to minimize my use use of paper for environmental and cost reasons. This app is great for holding all your notes and seamlessly works across devices.
Great app for which I would be prepared to pay a reasonable once off fee but NOT a monthly fee with no end. You give 2 years free to entice people and then want to charge for more than 2 users. What absolute thievery. There are other apps we can use which sync on any number of devices without charging users forever! Tome to rethink your greedy strategy.
Update: December 2017, still the most important app on all my machines. Only improvement I would suggest is improving handwritten notes so they can be easily added and edited into existing notes. 2016 : New Android update is great. I use Evernote to organize thousands of notes and hack it for my calendar. Premium user. If they asked for $1,000 per year, I would pay it-- it is that indispensable! The scanning portion on Android was falling behind on iOS equivalent but now caught up and working great.
Almost perfect. I have the Galaxy Note 8 and fingerprint unlock won't work. It works on my brother's S8+ but i dont understand why not the Note? Pls fix.
When I first downloaded this ap it was great. Recently I've open it up to look at the work I have written on this ap hoping it was saved, and every time I try to look at my own writing the ap happens to constantly knock me out of my writing to show me a page that states, go premium. Apparently now, if you are still using the basic, you can't even look at what you have written. "Come on"! I understand you want ppl to upgrade, but restricting them from reading their own writing is ridiculous. Please get rid of that.
I don't normally leave reviews, but after leaving EN when the new pricing came in, I fell back to having information in several different places. A mess basically. I jumped back in a few days ago and couldn't be happier. Lots of improvements on all fronts including the Windows desktop app. My only complaint, and the only reason there are four stars and not five, is the reminders still cannot be repeated, but I use Google Calenders for all simple reminders which works fine in tandem with EN.
Help! It damaged my download folder by creating another download folder ..now my phone won't recognize file (photos)from that folder.... Had to delete everything in that folder and my phone still won't work properly... I deserve compensation for this lol...
I opted for premium subscription and I am using evernote since March 17. I was quite happy until I realized that there is no "speech to text"option . Kindly fix this issue asap.
Overall very good. However, a recent update has made the frequent operation of selecting the notebook for a new note unnecessarily long. It used to be that from within editing the note I would tap the name of the current notebook to bring up the list, tap the notebook I want to put it in, and then be done. Now, after I select the notebook I want I need to tap "Move". This might be nice for people who always tap the wrong option the first time, but it's a pain in the neck for me.
Ever since they changed their pricing model to restrict access to 2 device I have lost confidence in it. Google keep all the way.
Been using Evernote for years but it recently just deleted one of my relied upon notes (or rather it just seemed to turn it into a useless duplicate of one of my other notes when I last tried to open it), and the online support function is reserved for those who pay for premium. Followed the steps in the help section, but the note is gone forever. If I'd been able to get some form of support from Evernote it probably wouldn't be as bad.
I love Evernote, but I wish the Android app had the note-merging feature I'm familiar with from Windows. I also had some trouble editing links within the body of a note.
After one of its updates it is no more supporting Right-to-Left text formatting, it caused all my texts to become cluttered and a big mess, no matter how you format in another app once you paste it in Evernote it becomes a mess, there Formating Editor is so limited.
After last update I have a big bug: sometimes and so often when I type the text, my previous word is removed as far as I started to type the new one, especially when I press the Return button. It's absolutely boring, I'm disappointed :(
The best app of its kind. Also, after a small incident due to a personal mistake I just had one of the best Customer Service experiences ever. Great job !
Thanks for this amazing great app. I don't imagine my life without it now cuz i really depend on it very much.
I'm done with Evernote. Fed up of increasing numbers of paywalls that restrict access to my notes offline, export, backup, etc. Moving everying to OneNote which is now as good if not better across unlimited devices. Impossible to properly backup notes despites of the tons of complaints from users. Time will tell whether locking users up increases retention...I used to like Evernote but I don't feel I can trust this company anymore which seems focused on monetization rather than user experience.
Clicking on Widget does not go to note. Please add location based reminders and parity between web and desktop functionality.
Hate the way you changed the quick scanner notebook select. If your going to have a list you still need most used at the top and I hate "moving" it.
The app is a good one. But a word of caution. There are no refunds given if you need to cancel early. I had purchased a year in advance and after two months realized it wasn't what I needed. I asked but was reminded that it is the policy and that there was no way a credit could be issued. I wish now that I had just purchased a month at a time. Buyer beware!
my evernote is getting crashed again and again i don't know what is the problem please help
Love Evernote for staying organized. I've got a fifth star, but I've reserved the last one for better Google voice integration. As it stands, when I tell goggle now to add to a grocery list, it goes to Google keep. Maybe that's the way they want it, but I'd rather it go to Evernote.
Best. Notes app. Ever. I love how I can just put anything in it and it syncs up with my phone and laptop! This has made my thoughts feel so much more organized. I absolutely love this app. I normally don't write reviews let alone lengthy ones but this app deserves my love. Keep up the good work. Hoping for more helpful apps like this
I loved this app, and my earlier reviews gave it 5 stars! Sadly, they lose a star for each year (!?!) that goes by in which they fail to fix long-standing bugs and usability problems that have been reported multiple times. In 2017 there was yet another initiative to be more responsive to their users, less buggy, etc. In spite of some initial signs of progress, in late 2017 these attempts are still not bearing much fruit. For example, a long-standing problem with 'stale' search results was fixed, but then in November it reoccurred. There are far too many other examples. So, down to 1 star they go. Sad, because this could be a *great* app. Still great for casual use, just not for anything mission critical.
I love this app but 3 stars for its upload limitation only 60MB and no offline read mode for basic user. Plz give us more space and at least free the offline read mode for basic user.
Font is 9 and too small to read. And there is no way to change it. Unbelievable but true. There's bold italic superscript strike through etc. But no way to change the size of the illegible font. I'm currently have a subscription but am moving to One Note.
Been using it for long time but since they limited the device for only two devices I move most of my stuff to microsoft onenote.. i hope free user can sync at least up to 3 devices
Hey I don't understand why its not getting open in my phone. I have tried a several times to uninstall it and install back... I don't understand how do I make it work again. Please write back to me asap. U use Sony Xperia z2

I switched to 2 devices when device-restriction announced but they changed me to Premium anyway. Only found by chance that you have to revoke the usage of relavent devices on the website. Why didn't they make that crystal clear at the time?! Now back on basic free a/c, and that's anything but "basic" in all its features and great UI. New edit: I'm now trialling Plus version, mainly b/c I can't bear to uninstall Evernote fm my old tablet!
