EF Sidekick for Android
Abke to connect to EF and app finds camera. When camera is selected app crashes. Company I work for is an interlogix dealer. TruVision app works much better with our equipment.
I've used my ip sidekick ESK1000 at least 200 + times with the app. It's perfect for moving camera to camera, top of the ladder with cell phone in hand; configure, aim, focus, close it up and move on. Saves time and labor.
Used it on Axis and HIKVISION the first couple of times and it worked great with the app and laptop. Now the app finds the camera and then crashes when you try to connect. I am using android phone. It still works on laptop.
Bought a bunch of Alibi IP Cameras and needed a test monitor so I bought this sidekick thing and now I'm no where further then when I started the device works I think but the app won't find my camera FIX THE APP!!! or for Christ sake give a list of spported cameras
GARBAGE!!! I read all the bad reviews, I should have known better. However, there are a few good reviews, and so I had hope that the bad reviews were from inexperienced technicians. WRONG!!! This garbage DOES NOT WORK. DO NOT BUY THIS!
DO NOT BUY the hardware, does not support ANY camera other than Everfocus (30 years in CCTV and I've never even seen an everfocus camera), on Android. A total waste of US$200
Nice

Everfocus says the app will not support 3rd party cameras through an Android device. One has to use their side kick as a router, change the phone's WiFi IP to that within the range of the 3rd party's camera static IP. Download and open the 3rd party's camera app and add the camera as a new device. At some point in the future everfocus says the app will support 3rd party cameras...on an android.
Can't discover anything with the app. Fix it!
I have never been able to view a camera through this app.
I can never get the app to discover a device! I spent way too much money on this device for it to have an app that does not work. Tech support is an international call! The everfocus Web suite has the audacity to want to charge $50.00 to support this POS! EVERYBODY DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT SUCKS!
Simply does not work. In a rush to fill a gap in the IP camera brand line EverFucked decided to release a crapy beta product that pretends to work effectively. However I can only guess the hardware works because the app is trash! Why not grant the user the ability to change the routers ip? To fit systems already in place. They made it pretty totally overlooking functionality! Not worth the $250.00, especially since there's no stateside I.T. support.
I tried this on many cameras, I posted a bad review, then tried to see if there was an update for the unit. Found out what they don't tell you in the box. On third party cameras, you need to find out what their DHCP addr is, then close their app, open the 3rd party camera app, then dial in the settings, then it works amazingly well. Happy now.
Crashes when I hit the info button...
Confusing when trying to connect to other brands. If your going to advertise it being able to connect to ther brand cameras then maybe it would be a good idea to add how to connect to them in the user manual.
Tried on two different phones. Connects to network but does not connect to cameras. Junk dont waste your time
Love the Sidekick tool, but this app needs onvif compatibility to be really useful.
The fastest & easiest IP app I've found so far for Android. Makes finding, testing, and configuring EverFocus IP cameras quick & easy!
Still cant find it I am login yo the side kick network but does noy fine anything when I run the software.

It's one thing that the app doesn't support 3rd party cameras, but they could at least make that readily known. And then when you naively try connecting to one, the app just crashes with no useful indication as to why.
