Teeing off in 2006 and quickly becoming established as a favorite event for players and spectators alike, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, presented by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and title partnered by HSBC, is recognised as one of the biggest events on the European Tour, regularly attracting some of golf’s most famous names. Since its inception, it has been staged at the sublime Abu Dhabi Golf Club as part of the Tour’s Desert Swing.

The Championship has consistently attracted a world-class field of the game’s top international stars – year-on-year the Championship boasts a player field unmatched in the region and among the best on the European Tour! The 2016 field will be headlined by world no. 1 Jordan Spieth, 4-time Major winner Rory McIlroy, Super Swede Henrik Stenson, American hotshot Rickie Fowler and three-time Abu Dhabi winner Martin Kaymer.
