I was using this app for the past year only to find out, during a search for a trip on Trip Advisor, that Trip Advisor knew my exact location when guessing my departure by my city's name. My location is turned off on my phone as well. I have screen shots of this incident and the VPN saying a different country with the "secret hidden" IP address. Flop!

Free version works, but requires (fairly cheap) subscription to get rid of annoying "HIDE" bar, and for maximum speed (?) - and STILL lacks a proper exit method (must force closed with home button). Still the best TOR browser I have tried, though!
