About Pro Metronome

Pro Metronome is a powerful tool that helps you master both daily practice and stage performance. It has redefined how more than 3 million people sync to a beat on iOS, and now, Pro Metronome is coming to Android.

The free version is packed with features like the newly designed time signature interface – customized it any way you want. 13 time-keeping styles let you choose beat sounds that work for you – even a counting voice.. With RTP (Real-Time Playback) technology, it's more precise than a traditional mechanical metronome.

Pro Metronome is all about customization – change beat sounds, accents, and even choose from 4 different beat volume levels ("f", "mf", "p" and "mute.") With the Pro Version, access subdivisions, polyrhythm settings, and create complex patterns with triplets, dotted notes, and non-standard time signatures.

The app supports several ways to experience beats. All versions have sound, but upgrading to Pro enables Visual, Flash and Vibrate. Visual and Vibrate Modes are great when you're playing loud instruments or when you need to FEEL the beat. Flash Mode uses the device's camera flash to help your whole band sync up easily.

But Pro Metronome doesn't just help you keep time, it also helps you train. Many musicians, especially drummers, are looking for some way to help themselves keep a steadier beat. So Pro Metronome built the Rhythm Trainer - it plays one bar of beats, then mutes the next, letting you check how steady your timing really is. Increase mute time as you get better and soon you'll be closer to having perfect timing. It's a simple idea not found in any other app, one that lots of people have requested to increase their stamina and precision.

Pro Metronome supports many other features: polyrhythm mode to help drummers hear and visualize complex, interlocking beat patterns; background play mode; in-app volume adjust; even saving playlists that you can share with friends, no matter which system they are using(Android/iOS). It's a powerful, elegant app that is easy for anyone to get started with, and useful for any musician. So pick it up and sync to your own beat today!

We know that Pro Metronome for Android is far from perfect right now. However, we'll keep improving it in the next update and finally provide the same experiences as on iOS devices.

I love this app and I'm willing to buy the premium, but I have one question, I'm a geek user of the phone… and I'm changing roms and formating it constantly, since this is an in-app purchase, would I have any problem recovering the Pro features every time I change my phone or format the ROM? I think a separated pro app would be better… I bought Easy Voice Recorder Pro and makes life very easy to be a purchasable app. Looking forward hearing form you. thanks

The only thing that would make this app better would be to make it AndroidWear compatible and the ability to communicate with a DAW. It's a great practice tool, I use the built in drum samples to practice scales, riffs, covers, and chord progressions and it's nice to have a drummer play on time! Would be nicer to have my bassist's watch and my vibrate in sync with the tempo for writing and time changes! Do it, devs! Do it for the progression of music, the other AndroidWear metronome apps aren't great!

I have 4 or 5 metronomes on the Play Store, but as soon as I tried this one, I got rid of the others. It is probably just me, but it is not always clear to how any given app is used, especially with no instructions. THIS app has a beautiful layout, but most importantly, it is clear how it is used simply by looking at it. Oh, it also has a great many sophisticated functions that are all easy to use!

Easy to use and the iluminated rectangles work great, as they are easy to see during the performance. I use this app every week on my phone or mini tablet, I place my device on a music stand, the guitarist and bassist will even look over once in awhile to see the beat. Easy to use for rehearsal and exercises. I recommend this app over many others if not all others. I am a professional musician, you can't beat the price, the paid functions are nice additions.

I got the full paid version to support the developer. I'm not a professional musician in any case I want to get my timing correct for playing. The pro version has even more then I will probably use it's good to have those options to. My old digital metro vanished along with my old tuner. I keep my phone with me and can practice my strumming even with out my guitars. Nice!

I can't seem to find a way to set the beat to dotted crotchets (dotted quarter notes) for compound time signatures. The best I've been able to do is set it to 2/4 then subdivide into triplets to mimic 6/8. If I set the time signature to 6/8 I need to set the tempo 3x the speed to get the right tempo, which is a bit frustrating.

Great metronome! I'm loving it. The only criticism I have, as a music teacher, is that when I program a set list there is a slight delay when I click the next tempo. I have found this in many other metronomes, so maybe it is a quirk of Android? Anyway, so far this is an excellent tool. Thanks!

I really like this app, but recently it has been having issues crashing and keeping a steady beat. I don't know whether it is my phone messing up or if it is the app itself. I didn't have any issues with it the first year I got it.

X70%
by X####:

This app no longer installs on my tablet. This is frustrating because I had already paid for it. Something updated, and not it says, "this is not compatible with your device." Several emails to the developer have gone unanswered. I cannot recommend this app to you. Try something else. **UPDATE** My tablet info: StreaMachine Southern Telecom Model: ST13 Android 4.4.4

Free version is great but not premium version. I paid for this app thinking it would give me far better experience but no it still lacks a lot considering i paid 120 php for it. I know a physical metronome might be far more expensive but considering how well the free version is, the paying would not be a good option, unless if you want to support the app developers though.

I only use except for the tap Tempo which works great on my iPod. It's my hi to app. Absolutely horrible I'm on my way Galaxy phone! The tapping is always delayed and completely off balance. How can the app be SO completely different across 2 different platforms?? Deleting.

X70%
by X####:

The playlists in cross platform apps doesnt work. Cant import a playlist file from ipad to android. Also, ordering tunes in playlist is a pain... fix these issues please. Otherwise its a great app to have. For now i'll use other apps.

X70%
by X####:

Great app. I especially like the practice mode. I have given it 4 stars because it would be useful if the practice mode had a 1 bar count in after pressing start. Currently it starts immediately meaning I miss the first bar. When playing ascending/descending scales timed to tempo changes this messes up the first tempo section. A 1 bar count in would solve this.

I had this on my iPhone for years and it was amazing! The first time I installed this for my LG G3 a few years ago, it was a laggy mess that essentially didn't work well. I gave it another try just now and the difference is night and day. This metronome app works excellently on my Pixel, and it's just like when I first had it on my iPhone so many years ago. Thanks EUMLab /Xanin for the optimizations and fixes! :D

I used to play with a digital metronome which I have purchased for 20€. Now this metronome (the pro version) gave me all what I needed and even more! Great features, but yet it has one minor problem, I would like louder beats. I'm having trouble to follow them even with unplugged electric guitar. I hope you fix it cause it's an amazing app.

N70%
by N####:

I have no idea why, but for some reason the Beat Block is completely nonexistent in my version of my app. This is really inconvenient, as the Beat Block was one of my favourite features in the app. If you removed it, please bring it back so that I can give you five stars.

Pro version is excellent and makes it really easy to setup polyrythyms. Free version won't let you do polyrythyms but gets the job done for basic stuff. I've tried other free apps but none of them cut it in comparison.

X70%

This app is what I needed.."go silent" for x bars...polyrhythms...etc. Thank you ???? . Is it possible to include setting BPM with decimal places? Great app ????

W70%

I love this app! It is really loud and if you have loud instruments, you can still hear the taps. This helps a lot if you're playing the piano, it's so loud. I really just recommend it for anybody.

NOT SURE REVIEWS Just what i need. . . I gave 4 coz I hate apps with purchases. . But thats just me. Great work :) Love this piece of art.

X70%

I love this app, i'm a drum instructor and i use this app everyday in my lessons, one question for the developers though, is there any way you guys could put in a quintuplet and septuplet subdivision into it?? It goes to 16th notes and you can mess with the BPM and time signature to get 16th note triplets but 5's and 7's arent in it unfortunately, other than that, FANTASTIC app

X70%
by X####:

All the normal metronome utility plus timer, polyrhythms and accelerating practise mode. I've seen others with the same functionality but way too convoluted to figure out. These folks keep the interface clean and intuitive. It's my go to metronome.

X70%
by X####:

Great app. There is a visual bug in settings on the left where only first (Pro) switch is big, others are downscaled to smaller dots, whereas they get positioned like big one so when turned on, the dot is 1,5x to the right (out of the dark elipsis intended as switch background "frame"... :) Using Htc U Ultra atm , can send screenshots.. Otherwise - great thing to have at hand as a musician. Buying pro to support developers.

I love this app and it worked flawless on my Iphone. I recently switched to Android on an S8 and bought the pro version. Now the panel with the practice mode and the timer panel are blank. Not quite worth upgrading to pro for with this bug.

X70%

Pretty good metronome but TERRIBLE battery management. This app runs in the background and WILL deplete you battery life. It took over 25% of my battery.

J70%
by J####:

This is the best metronome I've ever used. Even paying for the premium version-which I did- was not only worth it but much cheaper than a normal metronome.

Q70%
by Q####:

This the only metronome app I use for more than a year and been my very best friend on practice and gigs. I would like to suggest an addition, this would be a good for those who are developing their internal time if the app can listen through the device's mic and will mute the click if you clap or tap on time / sync with the beat.

X70%
by X####:

Hello. Please I suggest you allow slower beat down to 1 beat per minute This should be an easy fix. .! Also up to 128 / 128 bars. Measure. Thanks. Great app

X70%
by X####:

So overall I like the app. The reason for the lower review is that I was hoping for the stage mode in landscape view. I play with a band that uses a digital board where I can mix my own monitor. I don't like rotating my tablet to go between my monitor mix and metronome. If you make stage mode possible in landscape mode, I will give this app 5 stars.

X70%
by X####:

It's lagging. I love this app and have never really had any problems with it. Please fix and I will change my review

X70%
by X####:

By far, one of the best metronomes I've ever used. It seems every possibility was tested and added accordingly. Many recommendations!

X70%
by X####:

Terrible. Your app has one purpose - to keep a beat, and it fails miserably. Lag + random slow downs and speed ups doesnt make for a very good metronome

V70%
by V####:

I like the app as a whole, but my rating would increase from 4 to 5 stars if the maximum amount of beats are 19 instead of 16. The polyrhythm and practice features are very useful

X70%
by X####:

Everything is good except one part; whenever I change the time signature to say something like 6/8 it plays as if it is 6/4 and doesn't change the tempo to eighth note equals instead of quarter note equals so I have to multiply the tempo by how subdivided the time signature is and sometimes I cannot do that due to the 500 beats per minute limit

X70%
by X####:

I purchased pro features but when I installed the app in my new phone all the features are gone and I cant fix it. I dont want to purchase again

X70%
by X####:

I like this metronome because you can edit the loudness of stress per beat. Very helpful indeed.
