Moon Phase Widget Free for Android
Also, the widget will display the moon rise and set times for your current location, if your device has location information available. To conserve battery, it does not actively use GPS.
Other features:
If you tap on the widget, the current month will be displayed showing the phase of the moon at midnight. You may swipe left or right on the month at a glance, and it will change to the next or previous months. This is a continuous calendar.
Limitations:
Due to wobble and accuracy limitations, the rise and set times may be up to 20 mins off.
This is an ad supported version.
I went through multiple apps and widgets before trying this one and it's perfect! Nice little widget that doesn't take up a lot of screen space, and opens up to show the upcoming cycles. Absolutely perfect!
The calendar shows nicely the moon phases in the month, but I don't like the widget, it is black square with changing moon and unnecessary writing on it and size cannot be changed.
Love the widget but don't like, example(rise time 10:00 to 21: something) rather see (rise time 10:00am to 9:00 pm something) will get 5 star if we can fix that.
Rise and set time have disappeared from the widget. Why?
I couldn't find it anywhere on my phone. This app looks really good though! Please fix it so I could re-download and use it.
I just installed the app and I don't see the moon anywhere on my app screen.
Awful widget
You had one job, widget!
I love wolves and were I go in vacantion in the mountins I usually hear them howling at the moon. Now I now exacly when they will howl and I can hear them. :-*. Great app/widget
The best of the bunch imo.
I installed it, but can't find it on my phone... strange. Too bad because it looked interesting.
I use it all the time to confirm full moons
You had one job, widget!
Great app
Excellent app
Time is wrong. No provision for southern hemisphere. Uninstalled.
I love this widget but have 2 suggestions...put days of week at top if calendar (does the week start with a Sun or Mon??) and underline current date
The full moon date is wrong... ex. Today is a full moon according to several astrological calendars I own; this app says it was a full moon yesterday.
Says the moon rises at 7:30pm when it rises actually at 3:30pm. It can't be GMT because then the difference would be five hours and not four.
Can't open
Awesome!
Why are people so stupid, giving bad reviews saying"installed but won't let me open" its a wiget dopes,, go back to your dumb phone you idiots.
No new or next full moon info. Calendar does not highlight full moon, difficult to determine from visual.
Does what it is supposed to do...SWEET!! HTC EVO
Awsome i love the moon sooooooo much this is a great app
This widget sucks. I installed it and tried to use it. EPIC FAIL!!!!!!! HTC Incredible
Ignore the reviews where the reviewer obviously ignored the part of the title that clearly spells out that this is a WIDGET, not an app...
Let's me install but not open it. Droid2
Its so simple just how much you can see and what its called! I wish it did take up so much space tho but its nice to still have an easy to work and understand app!!!
Informative
, The widget is awesome, it gives me a hyperextended sense of time passage ad the weeks and months till on. Without that widget on my homescreen, I'd know the time & date, but I'd be feeling 'unfulfilled' like a huge loss. Great app.
the widget show the icon from the backwards(for norther hemisphere) and no setings option to change that
All info I need for hunting is there.
very nice
Not bad
Says uninstall
This app actually does open, so its not just a widget! It constantly changes the date of the full moon and is usually wrong. I do like the simplicity of this app & hope for a more accurate fix. HTC EVO

It really gives me everything I needed, but not everything I wanted. I had hoped the moon phase picture that's on my phone's screen would fill a complete page, so I could more easily see it at a glance. work in sporting goods and thought it could e a good talking point. Doc

This little widget would be perfect, except it fails at the one job it has to do -- accurately telling us the phase of the moon. Today, for instance, is a Waxing Gibbous moon, but the app tells us that it's a Waning Gibbous. Those are two very different things. If the app doesn't even know what the correct phase of the moon is, then what good is it?
