Uses Google's speech engine, which means if you pause to take a breath, the recording stops. Okay for personal note taking. And good speech recognition. Plenty of these around, though. Not good enough for recording, say, an interview you need to type up afterwards.

Having just deleted all my notes for the second time I am more than a little annoyed. If you pause for long then the mike switches off and when you try to switch it on you can easily hit the trash bin. There is no confirmation required and no way to retrieve it. It would have been 5 stars.

So far the only problem is that the widget only displays the last viewed task, even if you delete the task. Should be able to scroll through all tasks, sorted by reminder date and time.

I like this app. But I set a reminder. When it came up, I hit "postpone" and it locked on a black screen. Had to restart the phone to get out of it.

Voice recognition feature is pretty good and UI is also user friendly..gives you freedom to write or speak the note..just one thing the widget should display all the notes added not just the last added note..overall a very nice app

I will speak the review rather than type it out it is pretty sharp and clear in understanding your voice and typing it. it gives a very little Margin of gap between two sentences. Before i can start he bextt sentence it switches off.

Recording stops too soon even for a brief pause and one has to push the mic button again.

Like the App. And would have given it 5 stars but cant seem to get the widget to show up on the Lock screen.

When trying to dictate a note the microphone shuts off before it can be done

It can recognize most word but it cant use for writing paragraph!!

Plain a simple doesn't work

Loved the simplicity of the app and recognised most words...

The task which are done should be mark as done or cross check that task so it will not confuse which task completed and which are pending ...one more thing completed task should go in the bottom of the list.....also define priority for task that will help us which are very important and which are crictical to handle urgently..

App is very good .l love it. If it possible then make it off line speak note bcos when no network it is not working that time it is very difficult to save note

I like it and use it, but I send my notes to another app that is searchable. How do I search for a note in Speak Notes? Also, can I make folders?

The app is pretty good it's too easy to delete notes. There should be a delete confirmation. Search function?

I would've given 5 out of 5 but there's just one thing about it...I use this to remember comedy bits that I come up with and when speaking the thought into the app if I pause in what I am saying for what seems to be a half of a second it turns off and I I have to hit the talk button again to finish my thought...It just doesn't allow me to think about what I'm saying while saying it if that makes sense. I have to know exactly what I want to say with no hesitation. Other than that I love it

I agree with the previous guy, I talk slow and when I pause, not even a second, it shuts down the mic. Perhaps you can put a setting in that we can adjust how long the pause before shutting off is?
