Etekfit for Android
*Update: Using the "Tool" function makes using the scale much better on our Androids! Use Tool, Unsecure, then select your scale. Yeah, a couple of extra steps, but worth getting info...thank you!* I guess it hasn't been updated in 2yrs, as when trying to load profile, current date was Jul 2014. Even though paired, info doesn't load via Bluetooth when stepping on etek scale...
App works fine on my Android Galaxy S4. Scale is accurate for weight. The App is not compatible with MyFitnessPal but works with Apple's HealthKit. There is no way to compare 2 or 3 different days readings side-by-side. I sweated out 2 lbs of water sunbathing for an hour, and the scale and App said I lost 1.9% Body fat and GAINED water! The App gives you your BMR (Basic Metabolic Rate, or calories burned while bedridden). Mine was given as 2235 cal/day, when it's actually around 1300 per every other source.
App does not work with Galaxy S8. Unable to find device in Etek app and it's not listed in Samsung Health as a supported accessory. Worked fine with any version iOS.
Has potential. Bad outdated UI that doesn't scale. Ned to just transfer data to google fit.
I really like the scale and the app to record / capture it's output. I have not found an option to move my profiles to another phone? Has anyone out there found a way to do this yet?
This app is crap! It doesn't work on S5. This is seemingly a common occurrence for any Samsung S5 or higher. How the hell can this be so bad with one of the world's major phone models? Awful...
Just used it for 1st time. It took this app less than 2 minutes to connect to the scale, and everything seems fine. Not sure why many reviews seem so low.
Good for tracking weight but when I try to look at other data it always takes me to BMI. I can't see any of my history for water, fat, visceral fat.
1) difficult to connect to scale, usually need to reboot my phone for it to work 2) incorrect weight and body fat %, assuming other numbers are fabricated as well (tested with other devices at gym and doctors office, off by about 3lbs and 2% for body fat) 3) terrible user interface, too many complaints to list, but seriously why zoom the graph in on a single 24 hour period, weight management is done on a monthly or longer view.
App stopped working on both phone & tablet. Won't open at all.
Very basic app that works. Please add support for Google or Apple fit and s health.
It gets the job done.
I loved this scale and app with my old samsung Galax note2 but I now have a Samsung Galaxy s6 and it no longer works. My Bluetooth sees and will pair with the scale but does not receive any information. I read that the app supports android 2.3 and above however that information seems to be outdated. Please update this app to support updated devices.
Rush to market, does not pair with samsung galaxy s6, again crap and returning, to bad the good reviews are for peeps that had it sent for free. That would explain the disparity in the ratings. Crap.
The app won't sync to my phone anymore, even tho it's paired. So I reinstalled and still nothing and I lost all my data. So I tried another phone and had the same issue. Such a waste of money.
The graphs are terrible and you can't see them for anything besides weight
It works and provides cool data. But man does this app look dated. Definitely needs a UI overhaul. I probably wouldn't have purchased this scale if I knew the application was this terrible.
App and scale are garbage. I have gotten it to work twice in dozens of tries
Fix the Bluetooth issues ASAP or I'm returning this thing. I need the BF% and other data other than weight or I would have just bought a weight scale.
The app is working for me on Android other than going to the graph view for any measurement crashes the app. I get a message that states the app Etekfit had stopped working. It will start right back up though.
This was working with Galaxy S5 on Android 5 but does not work with Galaxy S7 on Android 6. Also tried with Nexus 7 and Motorola G on Android 6. It is not working. It will not connect to the Bluetooth. Needs to be fixed ASAP as with out this app the scale is useless.
Bluetooth connection with the scale is sporadic at best. Poorly designed app.
Works well with my Samsung note 3. Doesn't work with the Samsung Galaxy s6, can and will you fix this?
Doesn't connect to the scale anymore with Android Marshmallow. Now this scale is completely useless. Needs an update asap
Might want to wake up and check your app's reviews. There's a lot of angry people here...
The graphs are terrible and you can't see them for anything besides weight
My husband ordered the body scale the other day and it's so pretty! Looks really nice in our bathroom. The app could be better. It could be more interactive. It would be nice to be able to connect it to my fitness pal app as well.
All I can see is my weight....won't communicate with scale
Will not work with Marshmallow OS!!
App says Bluetooth is connected to scale but no information is displayed on my phone app.
Don't buy if you have a new phone. I wish I knew.
Never pairs with my phone. Junk
Doesn't sync with Nexus 6
Doesn't work with Marshmallow
Not working on Marshmallow on my Note 5
Doesn't connect on Nexus 6p
Never works
Works fine for storing height, birthday, and other irrelevant items. Never opens the actual weight screen.
When I first downloaded the app with my new scale it worked perfectly. Over time it would only track my weight and the other stats were "0". Now it won't even connect to the scale to record just weight. This app needs major improvement.

The scale seems a bit flaky at times, and pairing was more difficult than I expected. The iPhone app works better than the Android version. On iPhone, your data does show up in Apple Health. On Android, I can't get the data to go into Google Fit or S Health. Once paired on either platform, the scale will report weight over Bluetooth like a champ. It seems my weight can vary up to 2 lbs with successive weigh-ins, so I'm suspicious that the scale isn't really very accurate.
